The story is rather deep and thought provoking, the author made it to make readers think about the world that we live in now and compare the two. Perhaps they share more similarities than we think, or maybe we're overthinking it. It's up to the reader.

Now the story is deep, but it is rather short and primarily focuses on one aspect. Though it does this aspect well, this kind of story can easily be hit and miss as there are different types of readers. Nonetheless, the author wrote this story with a clear goal and I think it's safe to say he reached it.
