What I was referring on the description is the fact that despite the characters are not being, well, themselves, everyone acts like that is a completely normal thing. So there is that and the fact a lampshade is a inanimate thingy.

And I consider what makes these stories different is that element of business as usual, without it they would be a another kind of strange transformation stories. I can see it may not be appropriate to call it lampshading because the casual replacement is the appeal of the plot and not a ploy to make the plot flow.

Anyways this is beyond silly. I changed the description.

I kinda want to write a Spike as a lampshade thing now.
