The Official Rules are all based on this principle: Don't be a dick.

1. You must not use this group as a platform to attack other groups. You can mention other groups and ask other users to read something strange, but we do not recommend that you do this. You must not directly attack other users. You must take conflict to other PMs when the moderators tell you to do so, and this rules applies to other moderators as well. You must not bear false witness against other users. Do not post angry rants designed to guilt-trip other FIMFic users. Be polite to other users on this group. Nobody is entitled to break this rule.

2. You must not post things that are against the rules to post: No ultra-pornographic images, no roleplaying, or any complete movies from unofficial channels.

3. You must not delete threads without either voting about it first or explicit permission from the OP (this only applies to staff, obviously). Threads are generally evidence that can be used for or against accused users, and it's best to simply lock them unless there is no other way to stop drama, which is rarely the case. Non-staff OPs can delete threads without any permission or voting whatsoever, but moderators must not be held accoutable when it happens.

4. For any situation of multiple staff positions, we must have multiple Christians on-staff. Of course, we will have non-Christian staff members as the senate and founder see fit, we should just have mulitple Christian voices on-staff.

5. Staff must not punish users for not putting stories in all applicable folders, it's not always easy to tell which ones they could also belong in! Staff must also not punish users for putting a story in only one applicable folder. The only punishable folder crime is putting something where it doesn't belong in the first place.

6. All members, including staff, and non-members as well, can promote this group freely, but they must not promote it any more than four times on other groups within the same hour, and they must only promote it on once on the same group each day, meaning that they are simply not allowed to promote it on the same group twice in one day.

7. You must not permanently ban an individual for breaking one of these rules without three prior warnings, and two temporary bans for the user neglecting these warnings. The third ban is the final ban. This is a good way to prevent any permanent punishment to whom could be an innocent user. (This also only applies to staff)

8. Self-Promotion is Completely Acceptable, and no moderators are allowed to punish this.

Basically, the rules ask this of you: Don't be like Gollum:

So, what do you think of these rules?

5605746 Just a quick question on stories, do they have to be religious, or can they have religious themes in them? (Ex: Forgiveness)

We're going to make a large bunch of folders, some for religious, and some for areligious. So go ahead! The more religious the better, this is a Christian group after all, but we have plenty of room for areligious stories, in the same way that we have two types of administrators: Christians and non-Christians who are not so lost in ultra-PC narratives that they don't view Christianity as the most evil religion. They still will disagree with it, that's fine, and we can talk about anything and share any opinion, that's fine, but do respect that you owe your freedom to all of our administrators. "Big Brother" talk aside, this is a free group for free discussion, all opinions are welcome. And forgive me if I come across as strict or harsh, my hero is George Patton.

This group hit a huge snag called "wintermester". I almost finished the final component of our constitution, and when I do, this group will be fully operational.
