In Not Asking for Trouble, Pinkie Pie’s not at all subtle scheme to be invited to the biggest party in Yakyakistan pays off. The “Pink Pony” soon learns many things about yak culture, how they celebrate, where they eat (tell stories, listen to music, and even sleep) but most of all that Prince Rutherford calls the shots. When the yaks’ heavy stomping causes an avalanche that covers the village, and the yaks find themselves incapable of clearing the snow, Pinkie Pie offers to bring pony help to clear the snow. The prince refuses to ask for help because “Yaks don't ask for help!”, the “Trouble” in the episode title. Pinkie Pie must learn cultural sensitivity and stealth in handling some solutions—and we all learn about the price of pride.

Prompts:

Pinkie Pie really wants to wear her horns. When she returns home, she asks Bulk Biceps for help. He agrees, but asks for something odd in return.

Um... Those horns. They look kind of real. Where did they come from?

Upon returning home, Pinkie Pie realizes that snow food wasn’t such a bad idea, especially if you add flavoring and lots of sugar. How she solves getting snow in the middle of summer is surprising, though.

Extra credit (optional): Vernacular can enhance a story if you use sufficiently yet sparingly. Use a character like Applejack or Prince Rutherford in your story, or invent a character. The trick is to use as few strange words or colloquialisms as possible. In this episode, substituting “yak” for “I” is almost totally sufficient to add a foreign touch.
