India banned paper bills for 500 in 1000 Rupees. That will do some damage to the profits on the short term, but combat black market on the long term.

China's economy grew 6,7 % in 2016. That all sounds sweet, but much of the reason for it were short-term boosts to the economy. Just giving out credits to everyone increases the risk of hard landing. For long-term growth, they'll have to implement some painful reforms.

VIX index is 10,7. Lower the value, the more calm investors feel about the next 30 days. The average is 20.

History teaches us that low VIX can be a sign of a looming correction (they come when people don't expect them). Thread carefully this month. It might get bumpy.

By March of this year, this will be the 3rd longest U.S. economic expansion since 1900, and the bull market is now the 2nd longest in history.

The predicted economic growth for 2017 is 1.6%. Coincidentally, the same amount of growth is also predicted for 2018.

Hasbro's sales rise above expectations:

Boys category revenue fell 3% to $552.3 million, but was above the FactSet consensus of $534.9 million, while girls category revenue jumped 52% to $394.2 million, beating the FactSet consensus of $343.8 million.

The guys at Wallstreet are probably looking at each other with confusion, not being able to grasp what's going on. We bronies, however, know exactly what's going on with Hasbro's sales. We also know that that 'girls' category might not be as girlish as one might think.

People are getting old all over the world and that will be reflected in the markets. Healthcare funds has grown 4% this year, selling of medical drugs by 5%. This trend will continue and you can make a profit out of it.

Don't invest to Farma just yet, though. That market is in the short term bear market right now. On the long term, however, you can't really lose. People will seek health and you can take that statement to the bank (if you invest appropriately).

Surge in oil prices: Declines in U.S. oil production resulting from the recent decline in exploration and
drilling, combined with supply disruptions in other oil-producing nations, could lead to a quick evaporation
of the current glut in oil markets as global growth strengthens. In that case, oil production may not recover
quickly enough to prevent a rebound in oil prices to a range of $70 – $80 by late 2017.

Trump announced that something tremendous is about to happen in the area of taxes. If he lowers corporate taxes like he promised, US stocks would rise while the value of stocks in developing countries could lower.

The fundamental fuel is obvious. First, you have the economy heating up. The robust Retail Sales report on Wednesday was the latest piece of evidence. Second, are promises from the Trump administration to cut taxes, which is about as growth oriented as one can get.
A move to 2400 makes sense before the next extended consolidation takes place.

There might be some bumps in the short term, though.

Gains this week have lifted prices to overbought levels, but momentum showed some definite signs of tiring, diverging from price in making a lower high which is a key warning sign that this lift may be coming to an end sooner than later.
