LGBTQ Book Bundle

The Humble Book Bundle: LGBTQ supporting Pride Month

Reading rainbows. LGBTQ literature? Take a look. It's in a book bundle! Support Pride Month by getting up to $342 of ebooks, digital comics, and audiobooks while supporting the It Gets Better Project.

Pay $1 or more for Lonely Planet's Guide To Pride: 20 Cities And Their Celebrations, Falling In Love With Hominids, StoryCorps: OutLoud: Voices of the LGBTQ Community from Across America, Kevin Keller: Welcome to Riverdale, Becoming a Man: Half a Life Story, Starve Vol. 1, and The Mirror of Love.

Pay more than the average price to also receive If You Could Be Mine, Tipping the Velvet, The Infinite Loop, Artifice, Wandering Son Vol. 1, Queers Destroy Science Fiction, and Wuvable Oaf.

Pay $15 or more for Massive: Gay Erotic Manga and the Men Who Make It, No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics, Julio's Day, Heart of Thomas, Smut Peddler 2014: A Superior Pornucopia For Classy Dames (And the Forward-Thinking Gentleman), and Wet Moon Vol. 1.

Name the price. Together, the books, comics, and audiobooks in this bundle usually cost as much as $342. Here at Humble Bundle, though, you choose the price!

Read them anywhere. The comics in this bundle are available in multiple formats including CBZ, PDF, and ePub, so they work on your computer, e-readers, iPads, cell phones, and a wide array of mobile devices! Instructions and a list of recommended reading programs can be found here. The books are available in PDF, ePUB, and MOBI formats, meaning you can read them anywhere at anytime. Instructions and a list of recommended reading programs can be found here. The audiobooks in this bundle are available as FLAC and MP3 files. Instructions for audiobooks can be found here.

Support charity. Choose where the money goes -- between the developers, the It Gets Better Project, and, if you'd like, a second charity of your choice via the PayPal Giving Fund. For details on how this works, click here. If you like this bundle or like what we do, you can leave us a Humble Tip too.

I figured the fact that Humble Bundle is doing a LGBTQ Bundle with money going to charity would be worth pointing out here. I believe this would be the charity it'd be going to, unless there are two with the same name...

Saw it this morning, I am considering whether to get it or not. Mainly because I have still yet to even read 1/4th of the My Little Pony comics from the comic bundle. :twilightsheepish:

It's a good deal though, and it's great to see Humble Bundle support LGBT pride month and the It Gets Better Project.

5284103 Wait, they had the MLP comics! Noooooooo!

Two bundles in the past actually.

It is a really good deal, and I tend to buy the bundles to support the charities in question anyways. Of course, I do already own one of the volumes in the bundle... :twilightsheepish:

That does make it likely that they'll do it again at some point, at least...

5284105 They'll probably do it a third time, and most of the content from the first bundle was, in a different way, in the second one, with the key difference being that the first bundle had each issue in a separate file, and the second one the trade paperbacks with four or five issues each. You'll probably be able to get a lot more when the third one arrives.

Do you need any kind of particular device to actually read them? A kindle or the like?

From past experience in buying humble book and comic bundles, not really. The books are generally in epub, pdf, and mobi format, and the comics would be in cbz, epub, and pdf formats. Usually each book or comic has multiple formats you can download.

Pretty much anything can read pdf, and there are plenty of ebook readers you can download for any platform that read epub. cbz is comic book specific, but there are readers for it across most platforms, too, and it's really usually the best format to grab comic books in.

There are some links in the first post that have where to download readers...

Ah. Thanks. For some reason that didn't register in my brain. :twilightsheepish:

No problem. I ended up grabbing the bundle, so I can verify that every book and comic listed is downloadable in at least three formats, and one is downloadable in four.

Personally, for comics, I try to grab cbz files, books that don't have much in the way of formatting, I grab in epub, and I'll go pdf after that. Sometimes filesize will influence my choice, or if a particular book or comic turns out to look better in one or another format. (And wow, the pdf of "The Infinite Loop" is *huge*. I'll take a 153.7 MB CBZ file over a 1.7 *GB* PDF, thanks...)
