Their names are Xenophon of Clan Everfree and Snow Dancer of Haven, and they are both Earth Ponies. Xenophon was the Chieftain of the Clan, a title that Celestia would inherit while his wife was a Memory Singer a keeper of lore and oral history of ponydom during the Age of Chaos. Both were killed by Discord's minions when Xenophon tried to save Snow Dancer from slavers.
