I love Godzilla, but the only good Godzilla groups are on FIMFic and Reddit. The rest suck balls. GODZILLA!!!" is, it's the belief that a Godzilla movie is worthless unless it is directly culturally relevant for the time it was released in, forget timelessness.

So Invasion of Astro-Monster and Terror of Mechagodzilla, two timeless and substance-rich entries that new fans and casual fans tend to like? PART OF THE EVILE AMURICAN CORPORATE CONSPEERACY TO STAMP OUT THE TRUE! MEANING! OF! GODZILLA!!! This is why most of the older Godzilla fanfictions suck. The Lorax was culturally relevant, but it was a fucking shallow movie. It's dated and ignores substance for the sake of ridiculous amounts of cultural relevance. Older Godzilla fanfictions make similar errors. Newer Godzilla fanfictions suck too, actually, but for totally different reasons, an entirely different can of worms to open.
