Have you ever read a fic you loved? You tracked it, favorited it, and just reread it so many times? And the chapter updates just got better and better? Doesn't it make you downright "annoyed" when you eagerly read the next chapter, only to find out that the author snuck in an old as heck, and downright ire-inducing cliché, that makes you want to break whatever you're holding in half?

It might just be that I'm some sort of weird mental masochist, but I personally love when a fic is bombarded with them.
That moment you're talking about? That one where you want to break what you're holding?
I live for it.
The sheer hatred for the writer and myself for reading it gives me such a rush.
Like I'm being crushed by the stuff
I bucking love it.

(yes I did bucking because of the overuse.)

Aaaaaaaaaanyway, I see you're point. They can be very distracting and break the flow.
