This thread is devoted to the character biographies, which should be written by their owner. This will be used as a reference page to remember the basics about the character and whatever might have happened to them at different points. Next is a basic outline - which is merely a suggestion, not a complete piece - followed by Ako's bio.

Full Name (Nickname):
Approximate Date of Birth:
Location of Birth:
Pre-Doctor Experiences/History: Everything before our first posts, essentially.
Gear: Things we started with, things we got, things we lost...
Should include when they were gained/lost if that is applicable
Current Plot Threads: I.E.: Ako being incapacitated, her and Sharpwit starting to be in a
relationship, her grudging trust of Riptide, etc. Pretty much this should cover how your character
is interacting with the game's world and characters. Note: This is facts, not them talking. This
information should be known in character by only those who should have access to the
knowledge.
Their 'Future' Selves: Any data we have on them, and possibly how our current characters are turning into them.

Feel free to add any more to this in making your characters, and keep in mind this is meant to eventually be a very cohesive piece about our characters. I suggest a month of so after we make these biographies that we come back and look them over, and edit as necessary. And oh, as a final note, please don't try to be funny and put [REDACTED] or INFORMATION LOST in them. These are meant to help each other with the task of managing 'ourselves', and thus this will cause more problems than this is meant to solve.

EDIT: Almost forgot, let's keep discussion about our characters out of here. That'll be the next thread I make, unless someone wants to beat me to it.

Full Name (Nickname): Ako Swiftwing
Approximate Date of Birth: Before Discord's Reign by about 20-50 years.
Location of Birth: A small town in the Gryphon Lands. It may have had a name, I need to check.
Pre-Doctor Experiences/History: Worked with her mother and little brother in an inn during her fledgling years, which they were basically paid staff that also lived in a small set of rooms on the second floor. In this time, Ako loved to read legends and was an avid dreamer, and although she had quite the pretty voice had no interest in being 'another songbird'.

Her little brother was taken away at some point, forcibly enlisted in the local lord's military. A week later he was returned, near death. In the ensuing grief Ako remembers that she stormed out of the inn, but in here mind it is a little foggy on how she caught the eye of her sensei. He said that she fought against several boys and was kicking their tailfeathers, but that is far from the truth. What truly happened is something we as a group have not gotten to, thus I cannot write down what does not exist.

For several years she trained with her sensei, during which her flight feathers came in and she made her first actual flight (Well, first that wasn't her jumping off a rooftop insisting she could fly, but I digress). Also in this time she competed against other swordsgryphons-in-training, who usually were being taught by soldiers of the Lords, and thus had very static techniques which were fairly easily countered by a more flexible approach. During these competitions was when she earned the surname 'Swiftwing', for her lightning reflexes and quick thinking with her blades as well as her incorporation of winged maneuvers in ground combat.

I had an idea on how her master dies, but I'm forgetting where I wrote it down, so I'll have to get back on this bit.

For 4-6 years, she wandered the lands as a Ronin or in other words 'Masterless Samurai'. Ako had many small adventures or in some cases misadventures, which includes but is not limited to: A gryphon inventor discovering the basics of weather control and cloud creation, a couple of towns being besieged by fantastical beasts, and a mischievous travelling unicorn illusionist. Her name at this point had gotten around a fair bit in certain circles, enough for one Lord who she had help a great deal to offer her a more permanent position.

She accepted, and my first post picks up pretty well from there.

Gear: Swords: (Note to self: I really should know their names by now)
______: One of her original swords, a twin blade of ______. Lost in meeting the Alliance
______: One of her original swords, a twin blade of ______. Snapped by Sharpwit and currently broken.
______: Forged by ___ Hattori during Discord's Reign.
Set of Armor
Small Pouch of Gryphon gold coins
Current Plot Threads:
Characters:
Sharpwit: Tentatively thinking of being in a relationship.
Riptide: Grudgingly trusting, but watchful and suspicious of her movements.
Cain-9: Approving, thankful, and feeling like she should repay him somehow.
Scribble: Trusts him, but is cautious of his powers due to their rather absolute nature.
Primeval: A bit unsure of, as she does not particularly like the fact that the pony is entirely encased in technology. Trusts her enough to not watch her constantly, but will be much more suspicious if she sees her acting like a machine.
The Doctor: At the moment, she really isn't quite sure about him. While yes, it seems like he has been truthful and honest, he also has been hiding things from them, and Ako hates not knowing things that affect her and her friend's continued existence.

Injuries/Implants: (Am reading back through our story to find the specifics)
Ribs broken
Amped Voicebox
Slash down through one eye
Wings broken
Spine knocked out of alignment.

Their 'Future' Selves: 'The Cyborg', who apparently has both of Ako's original swords. Is a heavily augmented gryphon that leads an army of cyborgs.

Full Name (Nickname): Riptide

Approximate Date of Birth: about 25 years after Discords reign ends

Location of Birth: Fish Farm outside the sea pony capital.

Pre-Doctor Experiences/History: Basically forced to flee from her home when a Captain Silverfin and a guard came to collect her after she accidentally outed herself as a kelpie to her friends. Due to a lack of a deep pony (sea pony unicorn) and an intervention on her family's part, she was able to escape. It was some time after this that she encountered Longshore who decided to teach her what it means to be a kelpie. (This was to be by edict by Queen Riptide, but it never really made it in) It is here she is taught all the sins of the Sea Pony empire.

After several years in which she finally molted and became an adult, Riptide left him to find her own place in the world. Thus she traveled to the shallows, surfacing not far from an unnamed sea-side village. SHe spent a couple year here, learning about the surface races. It was in the waters near here that she meets a seapony that offers her a job (she was disguised as a regular sea pony) down near Baltimare. She accepts and promptly moves.

It wasn't until after she moved here that Riptide finally encountered a changeling. Following it back she discovers the entrance to the hive itself, but due to warnings from Longshore, doesn't attack due to the queen's power. Riptide decides to take on a long term plan, hunting changelings to hurt their food supply and hopefully drawing their queen to her cove where she could at least use the sea to her advantage.

Gear: Severed tail of Commander Shadow Shine (trophy), evolutionary nanites from Primeval (now lost due to magic)

Current Plot Threads: Becoming queen of the kelpies and issuing decades long edicts to ensure the survival of the kelpies.

Primeval: Wary due to the fact she has effectively come back to life after what should have been a lethal blow. Formally, she liked Primeval well enough.

Sharpwit: Outside of what interactions they have, Riptide considers Sharpwit to be the confirmation of ponies tendency to assume the worst of non-pony species.

Ako Swiftwing: Respects her prowess as a warrior, but irritated by the griffon's words during their time in Ponyville.

Scribble: Trusts him the most out of the companions, though still doesn't know what to make of his powers.

Cain: Trusted but also seen as a bit of a curiosity.

Doctor: Trusted and yet distrusted. Not fond of some of the Doctor's mannerisms nor his tendency to be a bit....random (has yet to fully grasp the pattern of said randomness)

Their 'Future' Selves: All that's currently known is Tsunami is she is one of the Dark Generals and despite her strength, has a lot of personality traits in common with rogue kelpies (which are still being refined)

Full Name/ Nicknames/ Aliases: Sharp WitPre
Approximation of Birth: About twenty-nine years before the show starts (not sure of what an actual year would be)
Location of Birth: Downtown Cloudsdale
Pre-Doctor Experiences/ History: Was raised in poverty by his father Sharp Eye and his brother Quick Wit. Neither brother quite fit in with other pegasi children due to his unusual intelligence, and therefore became resentful of the pegasi race as a whole. When he became older, his father found employment in Canterlot, and the colts were sent to the finest schools in the city (it wasn't until later that they found out that there father had been working as an assassin for a local mob boss). Both Sharp and Quick found their ways to law-enforcement agencies: Sharp began training for The Canterlot Bureau of Investigation, whereas Quick was recruited by the covert Torchwood (or Torchwhoof) Organization.
While in the Academy, Sharp quickly became known for his investigation skills, his uncanny perception on the criminal mind, and his massive ego. Despite being disliked by many of his professors, he was quickly instated as an Inspector at age 20 (a new academy record) and put to work with a veteran unicorn named Golden Scales. Golden saw past Sharp's bravado and slowly but surely forged a brotherly relationship with Sharp, balancing out the pegasus' hot head and callous demeanor with a calm and collected mind and a gentle way of speaking. At this point, Golden is pretty much his only positive relationship, as his father had been more and more distant from his sons after they began their careers in law-enforcement and his brother had effectively given up on his family in order to work more efficiently in Torchwhoof.
About five years after he was instated, Sharp had found a series of reports on a strange stallion in a blue box appearing in different parts of Canterlot. He began to look further into the matter and found that this blue box had been seen in nearly every nation at varying points of history. He kept this investigation of the Doctor as something of a hobby, not really giving it much thought until after tragedy struck.
The first of the tragedies involved a series of assassinations of important members of the Canterlot society. Sharp and Golden found that a local crime boss, Money Grubber, had hired an assassin to kill several wealthy business owners in order to obtain their companies. Little did Sharp know that this assassin was his very own father, who had been spending years as a contract killer in order to support his family. Upon the discovering this, Sharp went to his father's apartment with the intent of arresting him, only for Sharp Eye to escape by crashing out a window and flying into the night. Sharp became obsessed with the case, finally gathering enough evidence to charge Money Grubber with several charges, but due to a lack of witnesses willing to testify, the court was unwilling to follow through. At this point, Sharp's father came forward to his son and offered to testify in exchange for a reduced jail sentence and witness protection, but Sharp refused to out of pride and mistrust of his father. A week later, Sharp Eye was executed by Money Grubber in cold blood, leaving the case with no witnesses and Sharp without a father. Quick found out what Sharp had done and hated his brother for it, breaking his nose in the middle of his father's funeral. Sharp became a recluse after this, sinking deeper and deeper into his obsession with the Doctor. Golden Scales attempted to help, but was only pushed away by Sharp. It wasn't until Golden was also killed by Money Grubber (Scales had found out that there was a rat in the Bureau that ratted on Sharp's father) that Sharp snapped out of his funk and devoted himself to the case. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late, as the rat in the Bureau informed Internal Affairs that Sharp had refused his father's help in the case. Sharp was stripped of his title and was put on the blacklist, as the bureau saw him as a threat.
The day of his discharge, Sharp was recruited by the Doctor, and joined him and the other host of characters literally seconds before his brother, who had become the director of Torchwhoof, would come and recruit him.
Gear: Long dark overcoat (no special properties) and the All-Seer, a device that gives him near omnipotence (confiscated due to the brain damage he suffered upon his first attempt at using it).
Current Plot Threads: Possible relationship with Ako, attempting to escape his brother's organization.
Riptide: She's earned his respect, but he is very wary of her savage Hunger. Also doesn't like Isop much.
Ako Swiftwing: Although they began on rather bad terms, Sharp has come to respect and even fall in love with the griffon.
Scribble: As he is the only stallion from his time-period, Sharp views Scribble with the affection one would have for a younger brother. However, he is somewhat on edge about his new powers.
Cain: Sees him as a trustworthy servant.
Primeval: Guilty about the damage he caused her earlier, curious about her new format. Also wants to set her up with Scribble.
The Doctor: Originally the object of his obsession, the Doctor has now gained Sharp's respect as a leader figure. However, he is constantly at odds with him, due to the fact that Sharp's never met anyone that was more intelligent as him and is rather uncomfortable with the situation.
'Future' Self: Known as the Memory Keeper, although Sharp only refers to him as The Dark Voice. Apparently has mastered the All-Seer and has the ability to control the minds of others, as well as use telepathy to transcend temporal limitations. By using the All-Seer as a conduit, he has been able to establish a strong telepathic connection with Sharp, his influence ranging from mildly annoying to debilitating. Has twenty times the ego Sharp ever had, and actively attempts to use his past self to interfere with the Timeline and undermine the other Generals.

This is what I recall off the top of my head from my notes (which I recently lost). Hope I didn't miss much!

Full Name (Nickname):Cain-9 (Technician #9)
Approximate Date of Birth: About 3,000 years after the dawn of Equestrian Space Travel.
Location of Birth: Longreach Station #43
Pre-Doctor Experiences/History: Born as one of 16 genetically identical clones, trained from a very early age in general space-station maintenance with a specialization in doors, gateways, and seals. The Technicians of Longreach Station were effectively treated as living machines created for the upkeep of the space station. Had an abstract sort of friendship with Technician #10 involving a sort of scavenger hunt. At the time Cain Entered the TARDIS, only four members of his 'batch' were still alive (himself included).
Gear: Wears a silvery bodysuit designed to minimize the effects of radiation and temporary exposure to the vacuum of space and minor temperature variations. Over this Cain wears a utility vest containing a number of small but useful tools, various lubricants for a wide variety of mechanical joints, a personal datapad meant to record the Technician's work log (Cain himself has forgotten he has this, since he hasn't used it since traveling with the Doctor and co.)
Previously had a larger mechanical tool that operated as a hydraulic lift/mechanical scredriver/Drill/Spanner/Lift Jack... but traded it for food during the bazaar before having a full understanding of how 'purchases' work.

Current Plot Threads:
Riptide : This freewheeling, shape-shifting, mischievous creature is completely baffling to Cain. She has never been mean to Cain, so he is inclined to be friendly, but they seem to operate on different wavelengths.
Sharp Wit : This one is frustrating. Continually displays dominance behavior with no provocation, and no sign that he will settle once (if) a pack structure is ever established.
Ako Swiftwing: Soldiers seem to be the Technicians of conflict. Cain respects her skills, and somewhat identifies with her lack of complete self-knowledge. There is a gulf in their opposing perceptions of technology, but it is becoming less of an issue.
Scribble : Seems to be the least likely to suddenly start shouting,
Primeval : This 'pony' is a perplexing paradox, advanced technology and primitive impulse struggling for order. Of course, now that the evolutionary has suffered near braindeath and has been reanimated by her suit... Cain finds talking to 'Primeval' a little creepy. He's not sure if the others understand what has happened or not, but he doesn't want to be the one to tell them if they don't.
The Doctor: Ambivalent. The Doctor is obviously very effective, but seems to become distracted far too easily. Plus his tendency to avoid explaining things until right before they happen is tiresome. And yet he is capable of a great deal of compassion and kindness. Ambivalent.
'I, Me, and We' Cain is still struggling with the use of personal particles in conversation, and when distracted, annoyed, or distressed often reverts to his earlier overly technical speech style.
'Scavenger Hunt' though he hardly remembers why, Cain has been on the lookout for four small items (a 10cm wooden cube, a 1k ohm Resistor, silicone putty, and something containing chlorophyll)

'Future' Self: Giant Gaseous Dog/Wolf's head, known as the Star Devourer. Current signs of influence... none identified (yet).

Nexas
Group Admin

Full Name (Nickname): Scribble

Approximate Date of Birth: About twenty-two years before the story begins

Location of Birth: Canterlot, specifically near the entertainment district.

Pre-Doctor Experiences/History: Born in Canterlot to a middle-class family, Scribble's life was incredibly plain. He was just another pony, trying to get by in the world. He tried out for just about every job related to writing he could before he ended up in the TARDIS. Has a number of friends and acquaintances around the area of Canterlot he lives in that like him, including Sugar Spoon, a waitress at the coffee place he frequented.

Gear: Scroll bag from back when they were in llama times, filled with scrolls and paper for easy writing access. Chaos pen, taken from Discord's evil deer lackey in a battle of wits. Able to bring to life anything that is written, or cause literally anything to happen. (carries in scroll bag at all times, no, you can't touch)

Current Plot Threads: Currently stranded in Canterlot ten days after Princess Twilight's coronation with Ako and Cain-9. Possesses slowly growing affection for Primeval, although he hasn't made a move on it yet.

Sharpwit: Fellow Canterlotian, as well as someone from his time. Kind of thinks he's a jerk, but also an okay guy. Might ask for relationship advice. Probably wont try to betray them if they're in a jam, but he should stop punching everything.
Cain-9: Diamond Dog from space. Kind of like a big, confused, robot puppy Scribble likes him.
Ako: Ronin from the time of Equestrian conquest. Easily best fighter in the group, but wounded. Afraid of technology and possibly magic.
Primeval: Proto-pony from the dawn of time, now fused with her suit to become a cyborg pony. Has mad dokis for. Scribble is worried about her.
Riptide: Kelpie, the first one Scribble has ever seen, and likely the only one that would never eat him. Unless of course she gets hungry enough.

Their 'Future' Selves: Scrawl, earth pony changed by the powers of chaos and leads an army of nightmarish creatures that come the depths of his warped mind. Possesses a pen capable of bringing the written word to life, although he has grown so powerful merely speaking or thinking hard enough will create what he desires. Very intelligent and uncaring of others, he's currently reaching back through time and space to direct his previous self to a path that will turn him into what Scrawl is, leaving him messages that only appear before his eyes.

Ok, we need to talk. Seriously. We once had an agreement to post regularly and we've pretty much fallen off on that. We've drawn this RP for a year and a half now and while I've had a ton of fun watching this story progress, I've also had my frustrations with you lot as well. We're in the character arcs so it makes sense that the people whose arc is currently going on need to step it up a bit.

Of course everyone has something going on and life happens. So in that case, do the sensible thing and tell everyone. Simply falling off the map only frustrates others. Even telling one person would make it easier on others. Nexas informed us he would be gone. This is good. Sharp Wit, you need to do the same if you're going to disappear for weeks on end. Especially considering half of this is your arc.

Of course the main question is this: Do you lot still actually want to continue this RP? I do. If you don't that's fine, but tell us instead of posting slower and slower and slower.

I have no intention to stop now, especially since we are a long way into what we already had planned to do. :rainbowdetermined2:

Personally I've been going off of the same system I have been this entire time, waiting for everyone in what group I am in to post, however it seems that Nexus is away so I agree I'm going to have to pick up some slack there.

I would like to point out to everyone something I've noticed. At the start of our time together, we used each other's characters to a small degree, just for small things during our own posts. But as time has gone on, we've done this less and less, leaving it to Chaotic Dreams and notMurphy to do that for us. I realize that this isn't exactly something we can 'fix', but I think it is necessary to move in the right direction.

Zervziel
Group Admin

3563906 I actually remember that as well. Ako putting eel-Riptide around her neck for example.

I admit we really have relied on notMurphy and before him, Chaotic Dreams, to move the story along and for most of the action. It'd probably help that while nM moves the story along, we could have our characters interact more, physically (no, not like that). The last time I remember doing anything like that was when Riptide sat on Sharp Wits head and that was months ago.

InspectorSharpWit
Group Admin

3563906 3563970 To be honest, the only thing I'm worried about is accidentally pissing someone off by putting someone in a position that is compromising to where the story was headed... Something I've done a bit too often over the course of the RP :twilightblush:

Zervziel
Group Admin

3564437 At the same time this is your character arc and notMurphy has already left it to you to take the story where it needs to go. We're in Canterlot and we have threeunconcious beings and a flight )minus one) of changelings now armed with a gun above our characters.

Before you ask, no simply trying to take care of everything yourself won't work. It never has and each time anyone has done it in the RP, it's usually backfired. You have teammates and you've set Sharpwit up as a clever (if asnine at times) individual whose seen what each of the characters can do (with the possible exception of the current-incarnation of Primeval since what she can really do is up in the air.). Analyze the situation and use them accordingly.

Speaking of which 3564437, 3563906, 3361913, and 3360594, we need to incorporate Cain and Primeval a bit more. While we've seen snippits from the characters, we've really kind of pushed them to the wayside. I know nM is busy and Chaotic isn't here anymore, but that shouldn't prevent the rest of us from doing something.

In that vein, I need to make use of Isop some. He'll stick to the background for the most part though since that half is based more around Ako and Scribble.
