As we all know, Both MLP and TTTE have a good amount of songs. The question is, which one is your favorite. What i would like is for anyone, who wants to that is, to share your top favorite songs from Thomas, and explain why you like them. Then, do the same for your favorite songs of MLP. After enough people share, i will share mine.
(It's so relaxing, the kids choir version robs this song of that feeling, so that's why I picked this demo version only seen on "Rusty to the Rescue".)
(I swear this song is so catchy, and it helps that I can hear in my head whenever Terrance the Tractor shows up in the classic series with his theme.)
(It's so beautiful, almost like you're in heaven. And it feels like a tribute to the Rev W. Awardy, who passed away not long after this song came out.)
(It starts off sad sounding, but then it picks up to become more cheerful. And did I mention I hear it in Bill and Ben's theme?)
(Feels kind of like a march, sort of a "Sing it loud, sing it proud!" kind of thing. And it fits the classic series' slogan "Little engines can do big things!" to a T.)
(Even though it never tecnically got a classic series music video, it got released on a CD during the classic series, so it counts. Just listening to it makes you wish it had gotten a classic series music video at some point.)
And for MLP:
(Because this song screams "propoganda", but it's so deceptively catching. Heck, Daniel Ingram admitted to basing it off of propoganda films from World War II, and he got the intended feel down pat.)
(A beautiful song that is the emotional highlight of Amy Keating Rogers' farewell episode, she couldn't have asked for a better send-off if you ask me.)
(I think everyone would agree that a song like this had to be included in the best of the show's songs no matter what. What more needs to be said about this amazing early masterpiece from the show?)
(Another amazing song that pretty much everyone agrees is one of the show's best. This is what Pinkie Pie truly is, not some random Looney Tunes esque character for comedic relief.)
(An emotionally powerful song that single handedly changed how most people felt about Diamond Tiara, and who would've imagined she could sing so well?)
(This song will hit you right in the feels, and it's everything Pinkie Pie is supposed to be. In a lot of ways, she's very much that sad clown figure, she longs to make others laugh out of the kindness of her own heart, so that others don't have to feel as lonely as she can.)
Thomas had a ton of songs that I never cared about until 'the great race' and all of a sudden I was like, Wow. there are a lot of good songs in this movie. and honestly I like just about every song in that special more than any song in MLP ever. if I had to pick just one, I would have to go with streamlining.
as far as MLP. Pinkies Lament, Smile, but the king of them all is a little ditty called "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000."
Hoo, boy, do I have a lot to choose from here. I suppose any of the classic series songs would work. And as far as MLP, gotta go with "Raise This Barn" and "Bats". Raise This Barn is just a good ole country song, and darn if Bats just wasn't catchy.
I’m actually surprised there haven’t been PMVS of some of the Thomas songs. I think “The Island Song” at least could easily lend itself to MLP (especially the line “Imagine a place where the sun always smiles”)

Tough call, both have a LOT of good songs!

But I like streamlining better.
