Say, what if a wealthy vampire faction from the future wanted to escape annihilation by humans, and so deviced a way to open up a portal between worlds. In theory, the portal would have taken the vampires to the promised land of their religion, but instead, it takes them to Equestria.

Everything goes down, however, when the base where the portal is being built is assaulted by humans. Turns out that one of the vampires gave the whole thing away to save himself. Anyway, so the base is assaulted, the vampire soldiers make a stand, and manage to push the humans back with the use of Soul Rifles, which are basically weapons that use bullets with the infused ability to revive the dead and turn them against their former friends.

But the humans call in an artillery barrage. The base is left in shambles, with only the portal room left intact due to it being far underground. Human forces storm the broken fortress and start sweeping every level, clearing them of vampires. To the point, the humans break into the portal room after the vampire leader and his bodyguard have crossed. The final stand of the remaining vampire soldiers take place, but a grenade explodes near the portal, causing a malfunction, explosion, and unwanted teleportation to Equestria.

So now, several armed humans and vampires are scattered across the country of Equestria, trying to be reunited with their respective side, while battling each other, and trying to keep friendly relations with the locals.

Go for it.

Interesting. What's the humans motive for attacking the vampires (other than simply 'they're vampires')? Is it something like 'Misunderstood the vampires' intentions, believing the project to be something malevolent? Or did some idiot on the vampire's side strike first, making the humans believe that they had to protect their homes by killing all vampires? Or are the humans villains? I'd like to know. This has the makings of an actually original vampire story.

Vampires had gone unknown for a long time, but as technology increased, they were eventually found out. When asked to answer for their crimes, most refused, claiming it was their nature, which led to armed conflict.

Their resistance didn't last long, despite having supernatural abilities, humans were more numerous, better armed, and trained. In the end, rebel vampire lords were hunted down, their strongholds destroyed, and the last ones resorted to superstition and mysticism instead of strategy to win.

It's basically some rebel vampires against humans. Not on Earth. :derpytongue2:

Interesting. Very interesting. You have the go-ahead, and get going with it now!

Um...I mean... if that's okay with you...:fluttershysad:

2503790 This is a way to get people (and vampires) to Equestria. Every HiE has that. But that's not the most important part of the story. That's just a back-story. I would imagine, that the real story begins in Equestria. But you didn't write much about that and that's the most important part. I feel, that you have the premise (vampires) but are missing the entire plot.

But yea, the premise seems solid. Vampires are cool.
