I'm am sort of doing a colab with YuGiOh Brony on a MLP/Harry Potter story. It's involves an alternate scenario to the actions of Starlight Glimmer during season 5. Sort of a "What-if-the-Harry-Potter-world-was-Present-in-MLP-during-the-events-of-season-5-and-were-trying-to help-capture-Starlight-Glimmer-to-bring-her-to-justice-for-her-crimes-against-Equestira?" type scenario. Here's my contribution and do tell me your thoughts on it.

Background
It had been some time since Twilight and her friends freed the village of "Our Town" from the evil and powerful Starlight Glimmer. She had sent letters to both Princess Celestia, and to the Auror office of the Ministry of Magic in order to find her and arrest her. So far, she had not been seen since. Out of fear for the princess of friendship's safety, the Ministry of Magic had assigned Cedric Millicent, a high rank auror for protection.

It would take place during the season 5 finale. After Twilight reveals the sonic rainboom in a presentation, she would see Starlight there. Then she would return to the castle, and find Starlight Glimmer waiting for her. It would be like this. He's some of the story I came up with so far. 

Main Story

"Welcome home, Twilight!" Starlight Glimmer said.

Twilight and Spike were surprised that the evil unicorn was now there. Then something on the corner of Twilight's eye catches her attention. She turned to her shock to see the auror, Cedric Millicent lying on the floor injured. She turned back to Starlight who was grinning evilly.

"So much for your protection."

Starlight got up and levitating a scroll from under the cutie map, before aiming her glowing horn and zapped it with her magic. The scroll began to float in the air with magic swirling around, until a bolt of magic struck the cutie map, activating it.

Twilight glares at Starlight. "What are you doing, Starlight?"

Starlight laughs. "I'd tell you, but I don't want to ruin the surprise!" She crumples the scroll and throws past Twilight and Spike. "Won't be needing that anymore."

As Starlight began to laugh evilly, the cutie map began to react wild, with magic beginning to ripple around. The air around the room began blow hard like a raging typhoon, then a portal appeared above the cutie map with the sound of clock ticking. Starlight grinned evilly as her body began to glow, for she was levitating herself towards the portal. She entered into the portal, then the portal closed. Silence was in the room, until Cedric began to moan painfully.

Twilight and Spike rushed over to Cedric. "Cedric! Are you alright?"

Cedric groaned as he struggled to pick himself up. "I'm sorry, Princess Twilight." He finally got to his feet, and held his left rib cage with his right hand, holding his wand with in his left hand. "I tried to stop her, but she was too powerful."

"It's not your fault, Cedric," Twilight said. "Starlight is very powerful. Beyond you alone."

"I now realise that Starlight is not just powerful, but she's dangerous. She overpowered me like I was nothing. She's more powerful then any other magic wielder to have ever existed. It's possible she's even more powerful than some of the most dangerous dark wizards of our world we have dealt with."

Spike eyes widened. "Are you saying Starlight could be more powerful than even Twilight?!"

"There's a great chance, yes. I believe so." Cedric groan from his injuries.

"You've done enough," Twilight said. "You're in no condition to confront Starlight. Go and inform the Ministry about this. We're going to need help."

"Yes, Twilight."

Cedric grunted as he began to limp a few steps, until he raised his wand, and apparated out of the map room, leaving Twilight and Spike alone.

Spike ran over to the cutie map. "Where'd she go?"

Twilight walked over and looked around on the map. "I don't know, Spike, but I think we better find out!"

"I guess we could start with this."

Twilight Sparkle turned around to see Spike bending down picking up the crumpled scroll Starlight discarded earlier. "Spike, no! Don't touch that!"

But it was too late, Spike had touched the scroll, and the portal above the cutie map opened once again, sucking both the princess of friendship and her baby dragon assistant right into it before closing with a flash.

The portal opened up in the map room, and Twilight and Spike, along with Starlight Glimmer fell out, landing on the map room floor. The scroll came out of Spike grasp, and a bolt of magic came out while going towards the portal, before there was a bright flash of light that burst around the castle. There was a moment of silence, until Spike began kissing the floor, happy to be back home.

"One Castle of Friendship – check!"

At the same time, the map room door opened, to reveal five all too familiar ponies at the entrance.

"What in Equestria was that?!" Rarity asked.

"Is everypony okay?" Fluttershy asked.

Pinkie Pie grinned and squeals with excitement. "Can you do it again?"

"One group of amazing friends – check!" Spike said.

Twilight placed a hoof on Spike's shoulder. "Yeah, Spike. It looks like we're home!

Applejack eyes began to glare as she noticed Starlight Glimmer with Twilight and Spike. "Uh... what's she doin' here?"

Twilight turned to Starlight who was looking very guilty, before walking over to her, and placing a hoof on Starlight's shoulder. "Actually, it's kind of a long story."

Starlight Glimmer pacing back and forth outside the door to the map room, waiting as the main six discuss on the fate inside the map room. It had been little over an hour since they told Starlight to wait, and she began to get nervous. She could hear the muffled voices coming from inside from time to time. Then suddenly, the map room door opened, catching Starlight by surprise. She turned around to see Spike at the door, signaling Starlight to come in. Starlight gulped and exhaled a breath, before entering into the map room, ready to face the possible consequences to her evil doings. She stood before the main 6, with a look of genuine remorse and shame for all the terrible things she had done.

"I know there's no excuse for what I did, but I want you all to know that I'm ready for whatever punishment you think is fair."

"I've been thinking a lot about how badly Equestria fared without just one group of friends," Twilight said. "Because even when one friendship dies, the results can be disastrous."

Starlight dropped her head sadly. "I know first-hoof how true that can be."

Twilight got up from her throne walked over to Starlight. "And that's why I've asked you here." She put a caring hoof under Starlight chin. "If you're willing to learn, I'm willing to teach you what I know. You'll have the power to make Equestria an even better place."

Starlight looked around at the main six smiling at her, willing to give her a chance. Just before Starlight was about to say something, there was loud crack-pop sound along with multiple human figure appearing around the room from clouds of smoke, catching everyone completely by surprise.

"Stupefy!"

The wizard aurors shouted the same spell almost at the same time, and shoot a blue light out of their wands, missing Starlight Glimmer as she ducked down in the nick of time, and hitting the walls. Twilight and the others ducked down as well to avoid the stunning spells. Twilight then realized that they were aurors from the Ministry of Magic sent to apprehend Starlight after Cedric Millicent went to them for help, which she had forgotten about. The aurors then surround, and aimed their wands at Starlight Glimmer, ready to engage and apprehend the still thought evil unicorn.

"Wait!" Twilight along with her friends stepped in front of Starlight. "Don't! It's alright!"

"We have orders to arrest the criminal," One of the aurors said. "For she is responsible for so many crimes against Equestria!"

"Please," Twilight said. "I ask for a chance!"

The auror in front glared before responding, "She had one."

The auror then quickly and swiftly flicked his wand, shooting another stun charm at Starlight Glimmer. Right before the spell could hit its target, Twilight casts a shield spell, protecting Starlight. Twilight then began to focus her magic, and with her strong telekinesis, she pulled the wands of every auror in the room out of their hands, sending them out the door. With her horn still active, she then grabbed the aurors in her telekinesis, and very calmly and carefully escorted them out of the map room.

Twilight turned to Spike. "Spike. Send an argent letter to Princess Celestia. Tell her everything on what's going on, what happened with Starlight, and that it's important for her to get here as soon as possible."

"Right, Twilight."

Spike got out a quill and ink, and began to write the letter, just as Twilight closed the door. After a few moment of writing, the letter was finished, then Spike blew fire on it to send it to Celestia right away. Starlight was surprised to see Twilight defending her, even after everything she had done. The others stayed with her in the close map room. Applejack placed a hoof on Starlight's shoulders to comfit her.

"Don't ya worry, sugarcube. Twilight's not gonna let anythin' happen ta ya."

Outside, Twilight used her magic to put a protection spell on the door, before turning back to the aurors with a serious look, ready to do everything she could to protect Starlight. The aurors were confused by what Twilight had done, and even began to think that Starlight had magically manipulated her.

The minutes ticked by, and Twilight had not moved from her spot in front of the door, guarding like a dragon protecting its horde. The aurors stood by, wands in hand, but not making any hostile moves, for they did not want to risk an engagement with the alicorn princess of friendship, knowing she could disarm them all again easily. Just then, the doors to the main entrance opened, and a large number of witch and wizard aurors appeared, lead by a middle-aged woman in a important looking robes. Twilight knew that the woman in front was non other than the minister of magic herself, Hillamerta Cattermole.

Hillamerta Cattermole turned to one of the aurors. "Report."

"The suspect is inside, Minister. But Twilight is preventing us from apprehending her!"

Hillamerta Cattermole was surprised by this, and turned to Twilight. "Princess, stand aside now."

Twilight shook her head and calmly said, "When the Princess arrives, you can enter."

Cattermole's lip began to curl in frustration. "The only reasons you're not in restrains right now is because of your royal status, your relationship with Princess Celestia, and the benefits you have done and provided for wizarding world! Now stand aside!"

Again, Twilight shook her head. "Not until the princess arrives."

Cattermole now very angry looked at Twilight with a icy stare, before pointing her finger at the door to the room that contained Starlight Glimmer inside. "That pony...that monster has harmed so many innocent ponies! Even harmed wizards including aurors like Cedric Millicent, who is now in a critical condition from his confrontation with her. She even travelled back in time in an attempt to destroy the future, nearly resulting in the deaths of many innocent lives! And now you are protecting her, like she's done nothing wrong! If you will not move, you will be moved!"

Hillamerta Cattermole nodded to the witch and wizard aurors, and they all raised their wands. Twilight then suddenly and quickly power-up her horn, and with a powerful pulse of magic, she sent many of the group flying backwards across the hallway, but not to the extent to kill or hurt, but to simply momentarily subdue. Many of the aurors got back to their feet, with their wands raised along side Minister Cattermole who had her wand drawn, preparing to fight the alicorn princess. Twilight glared at them with her horn beginning to glow brightly, until suddenly, a voice yell out.

"Stop!"

Everyone stopped and turned around to where the voice came from. Twilight gave a revealing smile for it was someone she knew all to well. Princess Cellestia, along with members of the Equestrian royal guards down the hall towards Twilight. She was relieved that the Princess was now there before a fight could start.

"Minister Cattermole." Celestia said.

Hillamerta Cattermole bowed before Celestia. "Your highness."

Celestia turned to Twilight. "Twilight. You may let them in now."

Twilight nodded, and broke the protection spell on the door, allowing everyone to enter. Hillamerta Cattermole along with the aurors rushed into the map room, where they see twilight's friends, as well as a guilty, and ashamed Starlight Glimmer with them. The aurors surrounded Starlight with their wand raised and aimed at her, as Hillamerta Cattermole came forward.

Cattermole looked at Starlight Glimmer with disgust as she proclaimed, "Starlight Glimmer, you are under arrest for your crimes against Equestria!"

"Wait!" Twilight came forward towards Hillamerta Cattermole. "Minister? I ask for Starlight to remain in my custody for the time being?"

Hillamerta Cattermole quickly turned to Twilight. "You're in no position to bargain, Princess. But this request...I will grant."

So that's what I came up with for it so far with the MLP/Harry Potter crossover story I'm co-writing with YuGiOh Brony. I think it's a good start to this MLP/Harry Potter crossover scenario involving Starlight Glimmer in season 5. In this situation, I don't see Starlight wanting to fight, and if this story is to have a ending, I would like it to have Starlight being spared, and becoming Twilight's pupil to learn the magic of friendship, exactly how she was at the end of the season 5 finale.
