The US shifts rapidly between two extreme moods. When in a manic mood (Democrat), the US is wildly optimistic, recklessly spends large amounts of cash and engages in dangerous behaviors like giving Iran access to nuclear weapons. When in a depressive state (Republican), the US becomes extremely pessimistic, convinced that they are declining and develops paranoid delusions about being surrounded by enemies.
