Because no one has posted a real recipe:
Time from front door to plate: 30min
Bulk beef roast such as those that can be found at Sam's Club or CosCo for about $2-2.50lb.
White onion.
Black pepper.
Meat tenderizer.

Preheat oven to broil at ~530f.
Cut the meat into ~1 to 1-1/2 inch thick slices. Apply the tenderizer liberally, rubbing it into the meat so no powder in visible, meat should take on a slightly rough outer texture.
Arrange steaks on broiler pan and apply black pepper to taste and large onion slices pressed firmly against eat.
Cook for 10 minutes then flip over, replace or re-use onion, cook 8-11 more minutes depending on how rare you want it.
Done
With a little practice, you can turn cheap roasts into fine steaks for half (or less!) the cost.

Mississippi Roast

1 stick of butter
1 package of Au Just gravy
1 package of dry ranch mix
1 roast
6-8 Peppercorn peppers

Put all ingredients into slow-cooker for 6-8 hrs. Flip once in the middle of cook time. Important: DO NOT add water!
