After some discussion, The Bean and I have decided to reward our voters! We've acquired a new hat (The Trilby!) for this purpose. From this point onwards we will take down the names of those who vote in the contests each month and set them in the Trilby. Every time you vote, your name goes in the hat! Every four months we'll draw a name from the hat, and the member whose name is drawn will be allowed to choose a pairing from the Request Roulette Roster as that month's contest pairing! So if you've got a pair you really want to see, be sure to vote often! You might just get to choose them.

As with anything shiny and new, we need to establish some ground rules. So:

Rule 1) A member's name will go into the Trilby every time he or she votes.

Rule 2) On the fourth month, a name will be drawn. That member will be given the opportunity to pick the couple for the month, but can only choose a couple that already exists in the Request Roulette Roster.

Rule 3) You are not allowed to come up with a pairing right when you win! If there's a couple you really want, you need to request it in the roster before the drawing.

Rule 4) Votes are tracked by PaulAsaran in a private file. Votes remain in the Trilby for no longer than a year, and are then discarded. This keeps our Trilby from overflowing, and reduces the chances of someone who has left FimFiction winning and never claiming the prize. It also makes things fair for newcomers.

Rule 5) If your name is drawn, you will not be eligible for the next drawing. Nobody can win twice in a row. (Your votes will still be counted for the drawing after next, though!)

Rule 6) If your name is drawn, 2/3 of your votes are immediately discarded (oldest first). This prevents someone from racking up votes over a long period of time and maintaining an overpowering majority, while at the same time making it easier for that member to catch back up.
