======================================================================

It was the time after the Dark Ages of HaS had struck the hardest. In the middle of the powerful storms that had rendered the land almost devoid of communication, the Old Guard faced constant rebellion among the starving population of their dying nation.

Brutal uprisings were put to the sword on a monthly basis, while entire cities went silent all at once, as the storms roared with their fiercest screams yet, and trading caravans were lost in the roads with no explanation.

Amid the chaos that had ensued, several Old Guards and their genetically engineered regiments desperately attempted to maintain some form of order within the heart of the nation. However, not all of them were so keen on maintaining the old regime.

Seneschal Colonel Iron Galley, an Old Guard Regimental Colonel in HaS, but de facto ruler of a much larger empire far away from HaS' borders, sought to stop his people from fleeing his tyrannical rule and escaping to HaS. By his hand thousands had been slain and imprisoned, and now that they sought to flee, he feared his empire would be met with an adversary worthy of bringing it battle should HaS ever recover from the plague that now tormented it and find itself fueled by the deserters.

So he plotted to destroy the threat before it arose. In secret, he commanded his Bio-Cultists to raise him yet twenty thousand more of his Iron Rams, his genetically engineered soldiers, to prepare for an invasion of HaS. He raised six hundred Armored Chariots and three hundred Land Galleys from the forges of his Engine Serfs, and bought some fifty mercenary Sky Brigs.

Still, he knew these forces were not enough. Not if the rest of the Old Guard were to unite and fight against him as one. So he plotted some more. Inside his great throne far off from HaS, he decided to recur to the Dark Arts to turn the Old Guard against itself.

Taking a six hundred strong force of Iron Rams, Iron travelled into the Accursed Wasteland of Misanthropos, where The Sires of Misanthropos dwelled. There he led a bloody campaign of five months against the Fallen Pagan Lords of Misanthropos, and eventually emerged victorious, and with his prize: an ancient, dark relic of the Pagan Lords that had the power to make even the most faithful member of the Old Guard falter in his beliefs and succumb to the ancient ways of the world, when men hated men and worshipped beasts from other planes of existence.

Iron and his remaining Iron Rams left the wasteland and returned to his domains, where he tasked his Engine Serfs with transmuting the raw power of the relic into a new set of weaponry for his Iron Ram regiments. The Serfs did as best as they could, but in the end of it all, only six hundred Humanus Odium type weapon and armor sets were ever made.

Colonel Iron Galley took the remnants of his expeditionary force and a few others and armed them with the weaponry. Although he kept a gallant set of armor, a sword and pistol to himself and several rounds of ammunition, he made sure to make his regiment a priority, as always. Fully armed and ready, Seneschal Colonel Iron Galley set on the path of no return.

He first arrived in his fiefdom of HaS to prepare. It was a small, unimportant seat compared to many of the other Old Guards, but it would do. Using his newly amassed forces, he set about crushing the rebellions that had sprouted in his lengthy absence. Truly, an entire new government had been established while he was away.

With his fiefdom fortified and readied for war, he sent forth messengers to invite his fellow Old Guards to a meeting with an obscure purpose. Four Old Guards were contacted at first: Lady Patlestia, Guardswoman of HaS and Mother Empress of the Domain; Lord Grey Knight, vassal of Mother Empress, Guardsman Saint Kelly, and Lord Redshirt of HaS.

The first to arrive was Lord Grey, a proud, strong believer of mankind's superiority over the lesser species. Colonel Galley knew that if such a man could fall, anyone else could as well.

Both men met outside the walls of the Ironhold, Galley's fiefdom-turned fortress. Grey met him with suspicion, as such fortifications surpassed the base need of self-defense against mere rebels. He suspected something, but he would not be allowed to suspect for long.

Lord Grey and his Grey Knights, his regiment's soldiers, were invited inside the Ironhold, where they were tricked into a false sense of security by the hospitality of the Iron Galley. A feast was had, music was played, and when the night had fallen, Grey had grown tired of the festivities, and pressed Iron to make clear why he had been invited.

It was then that Iron commanded his Iron Rams to let loose the essence of the relic into the room. Both men and their retinues were clad in their armor, but only Galley and his Iron Rams wore the Humanus Odium type armor sets. Galley stalled for time as Grey was slowly and unwittingly poisoned by the relic's power. Soon, he grew impatient and left the room, accusing Iron of pestering him with idiotic nonsense while there were wars to be fought.

Grey stormed out of the Ironhold in a rage, but he left his host smiling.

Mother Empress was the next to arrive, but she was in the company of Lord Redshirt. The moment they saw the fortifications of the Ironhold, they doubted. Lord Redshirt insisted Lady Patlestia waited outside while he and his Red Guard regiment advanced on the fortress.

Iron Galley sallied forth from the Ironhold then, clad in festive garments, and invited Lord Redshirt into the stronghold. He had not yet seen Mother Empress, as she had opted to leave her Domainian Guard behind while Lord Redshirt advanced on the fortress. Alone and far behind, she was invisible to the men on the walls.

Lord Redshirt, wary and suspicious of the strange runes carved into the armor of the Iron Rams that accompanied Iron Galley, said nothing about Lady Patlestia and accepted the offer to fully investigate.

Once inside, Iron attempted to do with him as he had done with Lord Grey, but a Red Guard by the name of Makarius Blahn chanced upon the Iron Rams escorting the artifact into the Ironhold's massive dining hall, where Lords Redshirt and Galley were talking. Makarius followed the Iron Rams and witnessed the dark powers of the nefarious thing. In an act of unprecedented heroism, Makarius sacrificed himself to destroy the artifact and warn Lord Redshirt before he was corrupted.

The artifact was destroyed then by Makarius detonating a grenade near it, killing both the Iron Rams and himself, as he shouted for his lord to flee.

Now aware of Iron's treachery, Redshirt's Red Guards entered a bloody melee against the Iron Rams inside Ironhold's dining hall, while Lord Redshirt and Colonel Galley battled one another. The fight was short-lived. Certain of his victory, Iron had been wearing nothing but loose, highly decorated clothing to the meeting, while Redshirt wore his suit of armor. With a frightening blow, Redshirt incapacitated the colonel and commanded his Red Guards to inform Lady Patlestia of Iron's treachery.

However, as Redshirt prepared to leave the Ironhold, the colonel managed to muster his strength and shoot him through the leg with the Humanus Odium pistol. The shot tore through Redshirt's armor and lodged itself in his leg, where it commenced to spread its poisonous corruption.

Wounded, but alive, Redshirt fled the Ironhold with what remained of his Red Guard retinue. They would not have made it past the gates, but Colonel Galley commanded the Iron Rams keeping guard to let him through.

Redshirt met with Lady Patlestia outside of Ironhold, and the siege commenced.

Aware of Lord Grey's proximity, Lady Patlestia commanded him to join forces with them. Soon enough, the Domainians, the Red Guards, and the Grey Knights had Ironhold surrounded. All three regiments cut off the Ironhold from all outside communication, or so they thought. Within the Ironhold, Colonel Galley smiled as he recovered from his wounds.

After several months of endless waiting, Lord Grey finally grew tired and demanded an assault be made immediately. Lady Patlestia and Lord Redshirt accepted, only because both Grey and Redshirt had begun to grow ill, and should their conditions worsen, they would not be able to fight at all.

So an assault was planned. The Grey Knights would spearhead it, while the Red Guards covered them. The Domainians would guard both their flanks.

The day came when the attack would be made, and still the Ironhold kept its eerie quiet that had characterized it since the beginning of the siege. Without delay, Lady Patlestia commanded the assault to commence.

The first moments of battle went well for the Ironhold. As the three regiments drew closer, heavy gunfire from the war turrets mowed down dozens of soldiers, and mortar fire decimated entire squads. However, soon enough the tables seemed to turn. The Grey Knights shouldered their way through the trenches that had been dug around the walls, slaying the Iron Rams defending them, while the Red Guards shot and advanced, steadily advancing through the carnage of the battlefield to man the captured defenses. The Domainians used propulsion packs to dash on and off of the walls, destroying key targets and then fleeing as the Iron Rams concentrated their fire on them.

Tanks and light artillery rained down a rain of fire on the defenses, and eventually a breach was made. Lord Grey was in his element. Blood-drenched and furious, he charged ahead, leading his Grey Knights into the breach, where the Iron Rams had taken position to defend it. Lord Grey raised his massive energy halberd, and succumbed to the corruption in his blood.

The Iron Rams standing before him wore the strange armor he had seen before, but now the runes in them seemed to scream a thousand different things. Still, the loudest resounded with cries for betrayal.

Unable to resist the wicked powers of the Dark Arts, Lord Grey halted his charge and turned to face his children, the Grey Knights. His eyes glowing an unnatural violet, he commanded them to charge, but not against the Iron Rams...

Lord Redshirt had fallen to his knees at the sight of the terrifying runes in the Iron Ram's armor. He too felt his will transformed as he turned to face the Domainians and bid his Red Guard massacre them all.

The men would not disobey their genetical fathers, as it was in their minds to obey every command that was issued and to protect them. In a matter of seconds, the tables were turned. The Iron Rams, Grey Knights, and Red Guards threw themselves against the Domainians with a vengeance.

It was a massacre. The Domainians had been split to guard the flanks of the advancing force, and now they were cut off from one another and surrounded. The Domainian tanks were rapidly destroyed by the Red Guard and Grey Knight artillery behind them, and Lady Patlestia found herself betrayed and alone, surrounded by foes.

From his tower in the Ironhold, Colonel Galley smiled.

However, it would not end as such.

On the horizon a new force appeared. Clad in polished armor the color of molten rock, Kelly's Saints thundered into the battlefield below mounted on massive war machines of his own design. He himself led the charge, cape flowing in the wind as he pointed the way with his fiery sword. His Saints rapidly tore into the carnage, ignoring the artillery and shrugging off the bullets as though they were stones being flung at them from a child's toy.

They knew not who was loyal and who was not. In fact, Saint Kelly had no idea what was going on. His Saints put everyone who opposed them to the sword and subdued Lords Grey, Redshirt, and Lady Patlestia alike. Most of everyone from the Grey Knights and Red Guards perished while trying to protect their Lords, while the Domainians were already mostly dead.

The Iron Rams put up a mighty resistance, but the moment Kelly remembered how to turn his war machines to face the walls, that resistance was over. His guns leveled the entirety of Ironhold, except for Colonel Galley's castle. Kelly himself led his Armored Saints to storm the castle.

The Six Hundred Rams, the ones armed with the Humanus Odium weapons, managed to stall their advance into the castle for days. They battled in every corridor, every room, and every staircase, all the while the colonel's war machines waged a terrible battle against Saint Kelly's forces.

In the end, Colonel Galley faced Saint Kelly in a duel.

The battle lasted for hours, but due to his injuries, the colonel finally fell before the Saint. Kelly grasped the man by the collar of his armor and lifted him up to eye level.

"Never invite me to anything again. Get it, loser?"- Saint Kelly, Battle of the Ironhold.

It was then that High Lords Hood and Tux had to involve themselves, and shaking their heads all the while, they sorted it all out. Colonel Galley was imprisoned, but his Six Hundred Rams freed him soon after; Lords Grey and Redshirt were cleansed of corruption, given fresh regiments, and sent to chase after Colonel Galley, who had fled back to his crumbling empire; Lady Patlestia was granted more lands, and Saint Kelly accepted the title of 'Crusader Hero of HaS'.

And so did the Dark Seduction end.

I do have a question for you galley, are these lore's including everyone on this page or do they only include the one of mention such as yourself and the more knowledgeable members

4183072 I can't get everyone in the group! D: I would die doing so! I'll be focusing on the people I know the most, but I can totally squeeze you in. Next time, tho. I won't be doing another for a while.

4183074 Ah I can understand that my friend, and thank you for the acknowledgement, but I didn't think of my self important enough for such a thing, so why include me when I don't really have such a strong foothold in the group? Is it because of our past interactions with each other?

4183076 EH. Glorious HaS lore is open to everyone! \O3O/ No discrimination! Unless I don't like you... >:c

Also, yes. Muh frends get VIP treatment. Duh. :rainbowwild:

4183080 Ah okay then, it will be interesting to see what you make of me, just don't make me be too bad eh :ajsmug: but insane oh you can make me as insane as you wish :pinkiecrazy: thank you my friend, and oh guess what I nearly go banned :derpytongue2: heh it seems that happens too often with this group

I fucking love this group.

4183067

4183527 Funniest of facts: This thing included gender-swapping and really weird shit before I decided to use those things in a different piece of lore.

4183678 YOU DARE USE SUBTLETY AGAINST ME?!

lel jk. Sure thing, m8 \O3O/

4183979

I'm trying to decode this too.

Could you squeeze me in to next time little one? Next time you make another one that is.4183074

4183979
4183988 Some day I'll find a shiny coin to amuse myself for a while, and then you'll be able to catch a break. Not sooner though!

4184104 Will try! \O3O/

4183497 Lies, eh! :raritydespair:

4183527 wat?.. That doesn't make any sense, eh!

4183849 Gender swapping, eh?...

4184536 Yes. It was weird.

4184549 ... share it, eh.

4184550 :rainbowkiss: Maybe I will. :rainbowkiss:

4184536
It's a reference to Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. (Also, I was injured in story, so it's relevant.)

4184582 I'm doing it! \O3O/

4184593 It's totally relevant you say, eh?..

4184606 GUD!

4183067

Okay i know it's been a while since i been here and this is the internet.... But whaaa?

4184636 Oh hey! It's you! :D

4183067

I think you're kind of obligated to write one about the shit I went through with TCB. People keep highlighting it as my rise to glory or whatever the fuck they're calling it...

But eh, I don't really care.

4184640

Oh hey it is me! I never knew!

4184657 So how'd you like your regiment to be called? :rainbowkiss:

4184664

A regiment? Buddy, it was just me, myself and I back then. I didn't have the Kokyuna clan to back my ass up or any of the people here.

Fuck, I didn't even know anyone here at that time, yet I just went balls out for no real reason.

Now I'm a fucking admin.

I don't know anymore.

4184637 Oh boy.... that looks like a fun movie, eh... :pinkiecrazy:

4184668

Shady's back. back again. Guess who's back. Tell a friend.

4184677
You have no idea...:pinkiecrazy::heart:

>Attacking Pat and not Red

0/10

4184671 That's the spirit! I was made admin of HiE just for constantly commenting on shit. This is the true way of the admin!

So I totally know what to write about you. It'll be swaggy as hell. I even got you two theme songs off the top of my head:

...Um, sure. I guess. I have no real objection to anything here so...

4184697 SILLY GREY! That's for another piece of LORE! \O3O/

4184709 Is very unrealistic. :U

4184708 So apathetic. lel. Doesn't suit you. The uncontrollable rage is more your thing.

4184728

Eh, I've settled down in the past months. I've kind of retired the red text of rage for the time being. It'll sit idle until some fuckhead states something just dumb enough to make it necessary.

4184725 YOU DARE QUESTION MY DOCUMENTARY-ISH SKILLS?!

This is totally based off of somewhat-ish real events! It's during the time when notifs went dead and I totally tried to goad Alexer into deleting the group, since he was seriously considering it then and I really wanted to do something to appease my boredom (I also am admin of HiE and people totally flocked here and other groups because I didn't like their shit-posting). Pat, Grey, Kelly, Red, Tux, and Hood all played some part in preventing it, sort of, I guess.

So yeah. It's a bunch of tiny stuff that I took out of context and made weird! \O3O/

4184717 It is realistic as fuck. >:c

4184738 Might be for the best. All that rage could only lead to an artery rupturing during a berserk fit.

4184794 \O3O/ You can never defeat me, Zephyr! I will someday corrupt you all! Pat is almost Slaaneshi by this point, and you too have been blessedly touched by Chaos in ways the Emperor never touched you!

...unless your devotion to him was, uh, more personal than I know of. ._.

4184779 But I didn`t try to kill Red. Is no realism.
