The First Official Fluffle Puff Writing Contest

Prompt:
To keep things fresh, this prompt is going to be a bit more serious than what we usually see with Fluffle Puff. Tags can include pretty much anything you prefer. Sad, Dark, or Tragedy? That's okay with us! Comedy, romance, or adventure? Whatever you want, so long as it's heartfelt.

Starting Date:
The contest will start on the fourteenth of this month. Please, to keep things fair, do not submit your stories until after the starting date.

End Date:
The final day for submission of your story will be the first of August, giving you over six weeks to write, edit, and finish your stories. Extensions will be granted for reasons such as hospitalization, legitimate real life issues, or whatever other reason we deem worthy of an extension. Extension grants will be judged on a case by case basis, but don't worry, we're pretty giving with our leeway.

Rules and Regulations:
Word count: 2000 words+

Rating: Everypony and teen ratings. No mature.

Tags: As stated above, there are no tag regulations.

Other: Of course, follow all general site rules regarding your stories. Use no explicit sex or gore.

Prize:
This contest isn't about the prize, and, as of yet, no prize has been decided upon yet. But rest assured, there will be one.

Scoring Guide:
This scoring guide was given to us compliments of LightningBass94.

Grading scale for each category: 1-10

Categories:

1.) Grammar: word choice, punctuation, and spelling
2.) Storyline (Mostly on personal preference of judges...)
3.) Characterization
4.) Story flow
5.) Emotional strength
6.) Originality

Each judge will decide on a score for each category, then add them up for a maximum of 60 points. The judges will then add their scores together. If there is a tie between stories, then the judges will read the tied stories once more and reevaluate their scores. Score for the winning story will be posted. All other scores will be posted if specifically asked by author that we do so.

This is problematic for us as well, but for a different reason, surely. We're trying to get a hold of him so we can help him. For someone to go to such lengths just for attention, he must be in a dire state of insecurity. Yes, he did something bad, and we should really just ignore him, but we still want to help him. Behind every bad deed is someone in need of help.
