Personally one of the stories from that war I like a lot as it shows not all Germans were evil heartless Nazis like people and media like to think and portray.
Same with the story of General Walther Wenck, a German general who disobeyed direct orders from Hitler when ordered to attack the Soviet forces as they invaded Berlin. Instead he ordered the 12th army to open up a corridor in the city to evacuate civilians and survivors of the 9th army(the army charged with defending Berlin from said Soviets) across the river Elba in order to surrender to the US forces on the western front. He was the last to leave and saved 250,000 refugees
I personally think this one of the most fascinating WW2 battle I've read about...but what do you guys think?
My opinion is meh. More of a Russian/Britain WW2 guy

I think its an interesting battle as well and the battle of Stalingrad and Kursk
