Story Reviewers United 4 members · 3 stories

This is a group dedicated to providing POSITIVE feedback or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism on stories.

Guidelines for members:
-If you see any reviewers acting like those in the Train-Wreck Explorers did, report them to me and I will take care of it.
-Please do not spam my inbox saying "please review my story" or something because there is a higher chance I will NOT if you spam me with messages about it.
-If you see a story you want me to review (please do not post your own), please put it in the "QUEUE" folder. The rest of the folders will be blocked from posting by non-admins.
-PLEASE do not submit fics marked as Mature as I cannot see them at this time.
-If I cannot take the load, I will request extra admins to help by posting a blog post requesting it. PLEASE be respectful in your reviews as you will be kicked if you are found to be rude in the review.
-If you'd like to become a reviewer (contributor status placeholder), please send me a message. However, I will ask you to agree to a statement that you will NOT give harsh criticism on a story. If you are accepted, do the same as standard members do, however, you will be allowed to submit to the Contributed Reviews folder. I will put the stories in this folder in their respective folders.

Zero Tolerance rule:
-If ANY reviewer is acting rude in their reviews, they will be kicked from the group.

It will be tough work, but I hope to make this group one of the better review groups in FiMFiction.

Review guidelines:

Word count rating:
0-1000 = Too Short rating. Advise them to increase the word count.
1000-2000 = Short but Sweet rating. Advise length increase if needed.
2000-3000 words = Decent rating. Usually does not need to be advised to increase chapter length.
3000+ words = Good lengthy chapter rating. Definitely does not require lengthening most of the time.

Grammar/Spelling errors:
numerous and unintelligible = advise them to reword the chapter, but don't flame them.
Numerous errors but intelligible = advise them to reword, but it is of less urgency than the lower rating.
Moderate errors = Some grammar errors and spelling mistakes, but only somewhat disrupts readability. Advise to reword if needed.
Minor errors = A few errors, but they do not inhibit readability. Advise if needed.
No errors = Perfect. No advising is necessary.

On Topic rating: (this section does not apply to stories marked as Random.)
Off Topic = Story does not follow the central theme of the story.
Strays off = Some elements of the story stray off, but the story comes back in. Since it is sometimes used as a plot device, advise if needed.
On Topic = Story is on topic. No advising is necessary.

Summary:
Summary (if needed) should be short and define what is needed and the good points of the story, and any extra information. Just don't go insulting the writing.

Overall rating:
just a simple 1-10 rating, a 5 star rating scale, whatever you want ;)

However, I will ask you to agree to a statement that you will NOT give harsh criticism on a story.

Harsh criticism is not inherently bad.

0-1000 = Too Short rating. Advise them to increase the word count.

Those aren't allowed on the site, ya know. That rule's kinda silly as well.

Did you know that three of those reviewers are Seattle's Angels? Unless you really want to reward good behavior, I have no idea why this is a thing.
