Title: My Little Pony: A Race Against Time
Tags: [Adventure][Romance][Comedy][Mystery]
Pitch: CJ’s series of MLP fics, that begins with this one, all display a great understanding of the series’ characters and how they work. His original character, Casey, is fleshed out very well as the series progresses, and a big help with that is his friendship with Stardust Balence. Yes, the Stardust Balence from the popular “A Journey Beyond Sanity.” Stardust’s creator DID give him permission to use his character and CJ has been doing him justice. For those who are familiar with AJBS, they’ll enjoy seeing the Stardust they know and love. I would recommend this entire series to everyone.
Other stuff:
If you want to see more of this series, it’s sequel, My Little Pony: Good vs. Evil, is currently being updated on Fimfiction, and has already been finished on Fanfiction.net. In fact, CJ is currently about to begin his fifth fic. in this series on Fanfiction.net. CJ and I have actually become great buds, so much so that I wrote scenes for the series’ fourth fic. “Seeds of the Past,” this is because I provided the villain in the fic.

Title: Sierra

Pitch: Girl tells her life story in a paragraph-by-year format. It details childhood and starts off purposely using simple words to describe things, as fitting for the mind of a young girl, and progressively gets more complex. It doesn't mess around, and tells exactly what you need to know, nothing more.

There's not a single line of dialogue. A brilliant piece of work, here. I implore you to read it. I've been talking this story up for months, guys. It deserves love. It's only like, 4.5k words, too. A short story, but it stays with you forever.

Thanks.

Title: The Stink Bug
Author: Some1Else
Tags: [Teen] [Adventure]

Its a fairly well written adventure story staring Twilight. The setting Some1Else created has a lot of potential with some fun original monsters. His take on magic is interesting and I've little seen it before. Its apparently his second fanfiction of any kind ever and the writing style could use some polish but there are no real grammar or structural problems to speak of. I'd hate to see a new author with so much potential get discouraged because his first pony work got no attention.

Pitch: One of the best-written Trixies I have come across. This one was originally written for a contest and while it didn't win and its viewership is very low, it appears to be very well-liked. Trixie is embarking on a new tour after being reformed and must learn to put on a great show while learning from her past.

Title: And I Will Love You...
Tags: [Romance][Dark][Sad][Tragedy]
Pitch: I've been trying to call more attention to this one for a while now. A crackship on the surface, but Scootareader makes this work better than most authors do normal, legit romances. While not the most eloquent story out there, it more than makes up for it with an unusual premise, surprisingly large scope, and sheer defiance of all expectations. I like to cite this story as the reason I believe any ship can work in the hands of the right author.

This is my first recommendation and I don't know if this has been in the Feature Box but here goes:
Title: Me Again
Tags: [Horror]
Pitch: Look, this was a great story. Unlike a lot of bad horror stories and films where all they focus on are the 'I SCARE YOU! I SCARE YOU AGAIN! I SCARE YOU A THIRD TIME!' mentality, this story focuses more on the mysterious, eerie feeling you get when you know something bad is going to happen, otherwise known as Creepy. The story plot line is, ... is ... What's the word?! It is... [Insert Description here].
Link:https://www.fimfiction.net/story/392405/me-again

So... yeah. I recommend this story. Sorry if this is badly written.

Title: Happiness Is What You Make Of It
Tags: Random, Slice of Life, Original Character
Views: 275
Pitch: I’ve been wanting to recommend this story for a while, but it wasn’t complete yet. Now that it is, I can safely say that Happiness Is What You Make Of It is the perfect deconstruction of the show, and wholly inspiring. It keeps MLP’s main themes of positivity and friendship, as well as the setting, but changes the characters and plot completely in an unnerving manner. The protagonist is a brain-damaged homeless pony who maintains a profound appreciation for things most of us haven’t ever been without. Throughout the various twists and turns of his life, ponies are drugged, beaten to near death, completely incinerated, and worse. Yet, he maintains his outlook, and in doing so helps those he meets turn their own lives around with his own special brand of childlike innocence. Not to mention the incredibly thematic and thought-provoking twist ending. This should be required reading for everyone in the fandom over the age of 16.

Hello and greetings Seattle's Angels reviewer! :pinkiehappy:

Title: The Radio
Tags: [Gore] [Dark] [Sad] [SoL]
Pitch**: A second fic from relatively new author this is probably better than average but I liked it. So here goes nothing.

This story made me hate a certain four legged creature. :pinkiecrazy: Hatred aside this story is really great that it is a respectful and cautious attempt at bringing light to a past controversial issue. The Vietnam War. This story is also written in different than usual writing style. I do not really understand what is the different though. The author also based his writing from historical facts. Twilight will be proud of him, imho. Subjectively it's great but it is not really easy to enjoy. Hard reading some may said. Or it's probably just me being dumb.

The Radio by Antiquarian

I also wanted to recommend Worth Fighting For from the same author but it was already featured once eventhough only at the lowest column and still sitting at 200-ish view.

Thanks!

Pitch: If for no other reason that this dude seems to have made an account to post one single story, why not do it for the fact that it's actually a pretty good one? If you're wondering about the sex and profanity tags, it's super light.

Title: The Pinkie Collective, by DIO Brando

Tags: MLP: FiM,
Comedy, Drama, Random, Crossover, Human, Alt. Universe, Pinkie

Pitch: Every Pinkie from every universe and fanfiction meet to decide on the fate of Cupcakes Pinkamena, among other things. It's a short read, and an abstract, peculiar one at that, but it's both oddly amusing and highly entertaining.

The fourth story from DIO Brando, a pony who usually writes crossover fanfiction, The Pinkie Collective provides an amusing glimpse at the reality-bending abilities that Pinkie somehow possesses.

Title: What Rough Beast, Its Hour Come 'Round at Last, by Cynewulf

Tags: MLP: FiM, Violence, Profanity, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Twilight, Pinkie

Pitch: Pinkie Pie has sensed something terrible on the horizon, but has no idea what it could be. She tells Twilight, who races to get more help. Little do they know how mismatched they are against their strange new visitors from beyond their planet.

This story is a promising start for what I'm sure will be another fantastic story from Cynewulf. It's worth a read and deserves more attention.

Pitch: I know it's probably a little early to try and apply this story to the group considering it was published less then a day ago, but not one of her stories has got more then 500 views so I'm just assuming that this one won't as well.

Title: White and Purple
Tags: Romance, AU
Views: 488
Pitch: It's maybe not the most accomplished poem I have ever read, but at over 3,000 words long, it's certainly one of the most impressive. This is the kind of effort I expect out of only a scant few authors on this site, but I guess I can add one more to the list. Along with a solid rhyme scheme and meter, this presents a fantastical romance set in a Nightmare Moon AU. It's definitely more than the sum of its parts.

Title: Without Another Word
Tags: [OC], [Other]
Pitch: This story is fantastic because it explores the effects that Pear Butter's death had on her parents. It does it maturely with a lot of heart. As opposed to relying on cheap feels and nonsense, it paints a more realistic picture of what a stubborn old man might actually do in this situation. Worth a feature.

Title: Celestia XVIII
Author: Brokenimage321
Tags: [Drama] [Slice of Life] [Alternate Universe]
Pitch: This story is a true masterpiece as it portrays Celestia as a teen and going through the ropes of being a princess while dealing with school and a middle aged Luna. The author made an Season 1 AU that opens a whole new world where instead of the two being immortal, they're as mortal as the regular ponies they rule, with both Alicorn princesses being very different from one another, Luna coping with what she did as Nightmare Moon and Celestia having to deal with being the 17th princess on the throne after the death of her mother. Definitely worth a read and feature!

Title: The Unicorn and the Crow
Tags: Drama, Mystery
Views: 131
Pitch: You want classic murder mystery on a tropical island? You got it. You got it in spades. And you got it with fantastic characters that leap off the page. The setting sometimes feels tangential to show canon, but this is very pony at its core. Moreover, it's got a thrilling mystery, and have I mentioned the characters are amazing? Because they are. They're what you should be reading this for. The writing is a tad dense, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Go read this.

Pitch: I'm not good at writing, so forgive me for this pitch. The story did really well about going into AJ's mind and her decision making, and the ending left me with goosebumps. It's short and fairly simple, but it does its job well.

Title: Clouded Minds

Pitch: Short as it is, this is one of the most intense personal dramas I've ever read. It features a Rainbow Dash wracked by guilt and self-doubt, turned up to 11. She's comforted by her lifelong friend Fluttershy, turned up to 11. And it nearly veers into fixfic territory, save that it knows precisely where to go, and when to stop.

Title: The Milliner on March Street
Tags: Slice of Life
Views: 115
Pitch: This is one of those stories that lives and dies by its word choices. Though it almost assuredly lives. We're introduced to a simple hatmaker, her shop, and her very dull life, which is put in excited disarray by the arrival of a very beautiful mare looking to buy a hat. Then things take a turn. I'll let you find out how.

Title: My Little Problem

Tags: [Comedy][Slice of Life][Human]

Pitch: Do you love silly little stories with adorable, yet truly hilarious situational comedy? Is Derpy Hooves your best pony? Do you like stories that have the protagonist losing their mind in frustration trying to cope with a 3-inch tall pegasus in their life? The story follows the day by day frustrations of one human named Donovan Lacscon as he tries to survive life and insanity dealing with a tiny Derpy Hooves.

This little story is probably the story that inspired me to write fanfiction. It originally started out on Fanfiction dot net in 2012, but has since begun a run here on FimFiction, being rewritten by Sedentary Vagabond.

Title: Daring Do and the Accursed Atoll
Tags: Dark, Adventure, Sad
Views: 880
Pitch: Still without a cutie mark, a young Daring Do is washed up on a deserted island after a shipwreck. What surprised me is how much she ends up fighting in the name of survival. Yes, there's the island itself, which her own skills and instincts are enough to surmount. But there's loneliness, there's fear, there's guilt. It's not the same kind of adventure a full-grown Daring would have, and it's a great origin story.

Title: Before Closing
Tags: [Romance][Slice of life]

Pitch: This story is about a chance encounter between two ponies at a carnival as they continue the rest of their day together until the carnival closes. I found that their personalities are well written and they bounce off each other well in conversation.

I'm new to this group and this is my first recommendation so I hope that you will consider this one.
Title: Trinity
Tags: [Tragedy] [Dark]
Pitch: This story deserves a lot more recognition than it got. It is a collection of three poems that were all extremely well written and unique in its own right. It showed the character of the main characters, Discord, Celestia, and Luna, really well, and it was one of my favorite reads.

Title: The Clown Sentry

Title: Dearth
Tags: [Romance] [Comedy]
Pitch: This is a DiscordXPinkie Pie story that basically sums up why these two would be great together in the first place, they're both bat[BEEP] insane. That's exactly what this story is too, with fourth wall breaks that have readers in stitches to finding out why it is taking so long for the two to admit their feelings to each other. I can't exactly write an accurate enough pitch without spoiling all the jokes, which is really what makes this story shine, and as the saying goes, when one spoils a joke, there is no joke. So, it really just needs to be read to be believed.

Title: A Crow Looked At Me
Tags: [Sad] [Slice of Life]
Pitch: This story really speaks to the bond between Twilight and Celestia from the lathers perspective. The story follows Celestia as she helps Twilight through her last days, and the author really captures how much Twilight means to Celestia. It's a simple story, but I think it works in its simplicity. It's just a story that enhances a relationship we already know about from another perspective we normally don't get as much of. Plus it explores the idea of Twilight dying and Celestia having to deal with that.

Ocellus really serves as a mouthpiece to show that Starlight's actions in the Season 6 finale have had a profound impact on the changeling race, Ocellus included. It's just a very touching story showing Ocellus giving Starlight a good pick-me-up.

Title: Never Again

Pitch: This story gives some much needed history for Celestia. This particular one-shot tells the story of why Celestia purposefully limits her power. She has the ability to be the End-All-Be-All, but she chooses not to be because the consequences for doing so would be too great. This story does a great job of explaining that, a great piece of world building if I do say so myself.

Pitch: PonyThudner delves into a new element of the "Scootaloo might never fly" story, and gives us a new side of the conflict that still reins true to its predecessors, but also incorporates the fallout of "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" very well as well. It's kind of hard to explain, but I think it deserves a read for doing a great job at tackling Scootaloo's flightlessness from a new angle.

Pitch: After the events of "Surf and/or Turf," Sky Beak and Ocean Flow have a conversation on where they feel they're meant to be. Even though the episode itself was probably an allegory for divorce, it doesn't take away from this story, which depicts Sky Beak and Ocean Flow as still together, and in love, they just live in different places. The relationship between these two is adorable, and their conversation also gave some insight into how Seapony/Hippogriff society was affected by The Storm King.
