Maybe a seapony to keep with the theme. Still considering that monster normally dont have kuch in terms of sapience it'll still try to act like a big predator. Turn that big leviathan into a small seapony colt and have him/her start biting ponies(+drool) left and right all cute-like and that may work ... I think.

Ponies may think its some colt who lived in the wild all it's life, like The Jungle Book but more screwed up.
