Fluttershy ducked her head, hoping upon hope that the stallion that had just entered Sugarcube Corner hadn't spotted her. It would be a disaster if he had. Her luck didn't hold out however, as Soarin made his way over to the booth she was hiding in.

"Hey Fluttershy, how are you on this fine morning?" The Wonderbolt asked, fixing her with what he was sure was his most charming smile.

"I-I-I'm fine Soarin, and you?" She asked timidly, hoping Rainbow would return from the bathroom soon. Since professing his crush on the shy mare, the Wonderbolt before her had taken to asking her out every time she'd seen him. While Soarin was a handsome stallion, Fluttershy just didn't like him in that way, but being the kind of pony she was, she didn't want to hurt his feelings and so far had yet to reject him.

She was saved the humiliation of having to speak further with the Wonderbolt when her brash friend announced her return with a rather un-befitting crash down into her seat across from Fluttershy, and had yet to notice one of her idols presence behind her. Fluttershy giggled at the shock on her friends features when Soarin spoke up.

"Hey Rainbow Dash, how's it hangin?" He asked cockily, smirking when his fan turned to face him. He would have to get rid of her overprotective friend if he wished to ask Fluttershy out.

Fluttershy discreetly nudged Rainbow beneath the table, capturing her attention long enough to give her a look that spelled out save me. Dash looked confused and then remembered her friend telling her about the stallion that had been asking her out, and how she just wasn't interested but couldn't bring herself to hurt him.

It took her a moment to put two and two together and deduce that it was Soarin, but when she did a devious grin crossed her features. Her eyes conveyed the silent message to just go with this.

"Hey Soarin, wanna see a cool new trick that only I can do?" She asked her idol, smiling when he nodded. Looking back towards Fluttershy and begging with her eyes for her to play along, she lunged across the table and caught her shy friends lips in a soft kiss. Fluttershy eeped in surprise but relaxed and began to kiss back, feeling a tounge dart across her lips she parted them, allowing her friend access. They kissed for a while longer before their make out session was interrupted by Soarin clearing his throat.

The two pegasi blushed, before Rainbow looked to Soarin. "Neat trick huh?" She asked, delighting in his embarrassment as he hastily beat a retreat. Turning back to her friend she smiled.

"U-um Rainbow, not that I'm complaining, but what was that for?" The timid Pegasus asked, a blush on her cheeks.

Grinning wildly, Rainbow replied "That my dearest pal was the Fake-Out Make-Out. The sure fire way of getting rid of unwanted suitors."
