Somewhere in The Void
"Hello! Is anyone there!" Zidane screamed as he stood over a glass floor over what looked to be water
"Welcome young hero of light." A female voice said out of nowhere.
"What do you mean? Show yourself." Zidane said as he reached for his daggers. "What the?" Zidane said as his daggers were not there.
"I go by many names, but people of your Equus call me Cosmos.” The voice said as a flash of light shone throughout the world revealing a woman with blond hair wearing a long white sleeveless dress. "Don't be alarmed. I am not your enemy." She said in a soothing tone.
"So where am I." Zidane said, lowering his battle stance
"You are in the world that exists in between realms." Said Cosmos.
"And why was I called here?"
"That is simple, you need ally's that are just like you."
"What do you mean just like me?" Zidane asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"You feel you don't belong. Correct?" She asked getting a nod. "That is because you are Displaced from your own reality. Before I continue, what do you remember?" She asked.
"The last thing I remember is stealing this from a vender." Zidane said as he pointed to his empty dagger pouch.
"It seems you lost some of your memory." Cosmos said with a sigh. "Never the least, what I need you to do is make a Token so others may call for your aid and vice versa. Do you have anything you can use?"
"I was going to use, my daggers but...will this do?" Zidane said as he took an orange crystal out. "Cid said he found me holding this."
"That will do. Now you must put a message on it so others know who it belongs to."
"Ok...A message...A message." Zidane said as he paced back and forth. "I got it. Achham. I, Zidane Tribal one of the heroes of light, will aid you in any fight against a fiend or if you need something.. Let's say liberated. Just hold this crystal up to the sun." Zidane said as he held the crystal up in the air.
"Okay. Now then all I have to do is send it into the void so others may find it." Cosmos said as she ripped a hole in the fabric of space and threw a copy of the crystal into the hole. "Now awaken, for you have a long journey ahead of you."
"Wait." Zidane said before his vision became blurry.
"Wait!" Zidane scream as he shot out of bed
"Oh no! Cid and I have been waiting for hours, so get up now!" Sunset said from behind his door before walking away.
"Ahh." Zidane said as he looked around the room, he saw the crystal still on top of his dresser. 'Was it just a dream.' Zidane thought as he got out of bed.
On the deck
"Finally! You ready?" Sunset asked as she leaned on the map.
"I guess. Couldn't you look this up in Canterlot?" Zidane asked back.
"Yes, but Celestia did not want me too look into this, and the Manehattan Library has almost the same info as back in Canterlot."
"Whatever, I;m just going to look around abit." Zidane said.
"Good for you, I don't need any help." Sunset said in a sarcastic tone.
"Okay then." Zidane said as he exited the ship.
"Wait for me..." She said as she followed him.
Manehattan, train station
"What do you mean you're all booked!?" A young girl with blond hair tied at the end with a red band and freckles said in a southern accent.
"Sorry, even if we had space I can't allow you to travel without a guardian." The man behind the ticket booth said as he played with his glasses.
"Well that's just great." The girl said as she stormed out of the station. As she walked away mumbling she bumped into Zidane . "Oof. Sorry about that."
"It's ok. So what's got you upset?" Zidane asked.
"It's none of your concern, but..." The girl let out a sigh. "I need to get back home, to Ponyville. It’s there's like something drawing me there."
"Let me guess without someone to take you they won't let you on?" Zidane asked get a nod. "I would ask if you need a ride but that sounds creepy."
"Yep. Ah’ll find my own way back." the girl said as she marched down the street.
The equestrian field
"Stay back." The girl screamed as she fell on to her back with her eyes closed as two Imp's attacked her. After a few seconds of not getting hit she open her eyes and saw the guy from before.
"You ok." Zidane asked as he helped her up.
"I could have dealt with them mah self, but thanks." The girl said.
"Man, you are stubborn. By the way my name is Zidane." He said.
"Ahh, Applejack. Were you following me?" She asked.
"Look, I couldn’t let someone your age go out and get themself killed."
"I have a weapon to defend myself see." Applejack said as she pulled out a kitchen knife.
"Do you have any experience using a knife?" He asked. getting a blank stare from Applejack. "Thought so. Look I know you want to be independent and all, but these fields are dangerous."
"So you are just going to follow me then, even if I got lost." Applejack said, getting a nod form Zidane. "Fine. Let's go." she said with a sigh.
After a day or two of walking they found themselves in the town of Mist.
"I’ll go find us a place to stay. Why don't you look around?" Zidane said as he ran over to what looked to be an inn. Applejack let out a sigh, then looked around and saw many kids playing with their friends, but there was one girl that looked to be the same age as her just sitting on a bench.
"Mind if I sit with ya?" Applejack asked as she walked over to the girl.
"I guess so." the girl said, she had black hair with a blue streak.
"So why aren’t ya playing with the rest?" Applejack asked.
"Me and my family are just here to see my aunt and they seem nice and all..." The girl trailed off
"You don't have friends back home do you?"
"It's just hard to talk to people sometimes."
"Well you're doing a fine job now. By the way name's Applejack." She said as she extended her arm.
"Coloratura. So what brings you by here?" Coloratura asked as she shook hands
"Well first that name's a mouthful can I call you Ra Ra or something?"
"Like a nickname?" The girl asked get a nod from Applejack. "Then sure."
"Ok Ra Ra it is. And to answer, just passing through with a guard of sorts."
"Hey Applejack I booked us both...Oh...hi." Zidane said as he walked up the the girls.
"So thats your guard of sorts." Ra Ra whispered to Applejack and she responded with a nod. 'He’s kind of cute, especially that monkey tail.' Ra Ra thought.
"Am I interrupting something?" Zidane asked.
"Nope just talk..."Applejack said as Zidane got swarmed by the kids around them.
"Okay, okay settle down." Zidane said.
"We're glad you're ok." one of the kids said.
"Nothing I can't handle." Zidane said with a cocky grin before looking over at Ra Ra. "Hey. why don't all of you go play a game together. And you two can join in."
"I don't know." Ra ra said as she gave a look to Applejack.
"Come on it’ll be fun!" A boy said befor they all ran off.
"Kids..." Zidane said before they walked over to see Quina, after hearing that her/his shop was closing.
Zidane walked in and saw that the restaurants looked like it had seen better days.
"Oh it's you. Sit." Quina said. "What get you?"
"The usual." Zidane said. Quina nodded and went into the back and brought a sandwich.
"Here go." She/he said as she/he put down the sandwich.
"Thanks. By the way I heard about what's happening, is there anything I can do to help?" Zidane asked as he took a bite.
"No no. me happy, get to taste new things." Quina said as he/she went behind the counter.
"How so?" Zidane asked.
"Get to travel." Quina said as she/he put down a cup of water. "So where Friend Girl." She/he said getting Zidane to choke on his water.
"If you mean Sunset she is back in Manehattan looking for some info." Zidane said as he wiped his chin. "Well I wish you luck. But I have things to take care of." Zidan said as he got up. As he reached for the door he heard some whimpering
"Can I come?" Quina asked.
Zidane turned around. "Sure, I guess? I am leaving tomorrow, I am help escorting some kid back home." he said as he left
A little later, Zidane brought Applejack to Henry's store.
"So why exactly did you bring me here?" Applejack asked.
"To get you a better weapon. That Kitchen knife won't cut it." Zidane said as he rang the bell on the desk.
"Ah’m coming ah’m coming." Henry said from the back. "Ah Zidane! What can I get you today?" he asked with a smile
"Yeah. We need a new weapon for Applejack here, so can you do one of your readings?" Zidane asked.
"Applejack, as in the Applejack Apple." Henry asked getting a nod from Applejack. "Well then how is you father, I have not been down to Ponyville in a while?"
"Not good last time I checked." Applejack said with a sigh.
"Oh..Well then come this way." Henry said as he lead the to the back. "I don't normally do this for kids your age. So just put your hands on the orb." He said as he sat down.
"Alright." Applejack said as she put her hands on to the orb, after a few seconds, the orb shone brightly enough to almost blind everyone.
"Well thats new." Henry said as he rubbed his eyes.
"What do you mean 'that's new'?" Zidane asked
"It seems she has a very important destiny. Now then ah, the weapon I saw was.." Henry said as he looked around.
"Ah ha." Henry said as he put a metal box out from under the table. "This weapon is very powerful when used with something... Crap I can't remember what though." he said as he opened the box. Inside was a pair of metal gauntlets with orange markings on them with a gem slot in one.
"So, this is a weapon then." Applejack said as she put them on. As she tightened her fist, spikes came out of her knuckles.
"This must cost a fortune." Zidane said as he took a closer look at the gauntlets.
"Not at all. This were made for.. Arg can't remember for the life of me for what. Anyway it's free of charge." Said Henry.
