Prologue

My name is Lucerna.

I'm fairy normal, I guess. It's my family that is strange, and I didn't even notice that until I was older. They're... obsessive. No, not obsessive-compulsive. They're just obsessed. With me.

I have a loving mother. My father died when I was little, but no one likes to talk about it, and frankly, I don't care too much. It's not like I ever knew him. My whole family lives together in a big mansion on the outskirts of Ponyville- we're rich, though I don't like to brag about it. I have cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents, so I'm never lonely.

I guess I should start with when I was younger, huh? Then things might make a little more sense.
