chapter 1 : Target: Sweetie belle
Sweetie belle the small white filly unicorn with a dark pink and light purple mane and tail . strolled through the small wooded area between her friends farmhouse and their clubhouse. She had a saddle bag over her back with a sleeping bag inside. Her two friends were waiting for her, but because the young filly had been helping her sister for most of the day; she had lost track of time.
"What tookya so long Sweetie belle!" a smal voice called down to the young unicorn.
"Sorry!" Sweetie belle yelled up. "I had alot of trouble getting out because of my sister Rarity." She continued.
Sweetie belle looked upward at the small treehouse/clubhouse. Her friend's head popped out of the doorway. Apple bloom the yellow filly with a scarlet mane smiled down at her. Her warm inviting gamboge eyes almost sparkled in the dim light. The earth pony's heavy southern accent always gave her away; that and the raspberry colored bow she wore in her mane.
"whatcha mean?" Apple bloom said as she tilled her head and raised one of her eye brows.
"I had to basically plead with Rarity to let stay over this weekend." Sweetie belle started.
"She thinks having a sleep over at a club house is uncouth." The unicorn said as she rolled her eyes.
"Well thats just silly. me an my sis have slept out ere a number of times." Apple bloom said while closing her eyes and smiling.
sweetie belle almosted pointed out that this wouldn't have changed Rarity's opinion; but shook the thought from her mind as she had no intensions of hurting her friends feelings.
"I tried telling her that but she's so stubborn. In the end she only let me come because i promised i'd take a bath as soon as i got back." Sweetie belle said with a sour face as she started up the wooden plank staircase to the club house.
Sweetie belle's parents had gone on vacation again so she was staying with her sister Rarity. Living with Rarity could be hard at times because of her perfectionist attitude and hate of messes. As such she could be very strict at times especially when it came to what Sweetie belle could and couldn't do when she was at her home; But deep down Sweetie belle could tell that Rarity cared deeply for her; as much as Sweetie belle cared for her.
"Finally!!" an annoyed young voice came from inside the clubhouse. "Do you know how late you are.The suns starting to set."
"I said i was sorry!" Sweetie belle said with a squeak.
a low sigh came from inside.
Sweetie belle stepped foward following Apple bloom inside the small club house. it always amazed her quickly Apple bloom had fixed up the tree house that her sister Applejack had left them.when the Cutie Mark Crusaders (the name Sweetie belle and her friends called themselves as none of them had their cutie mark yet.) had first seen the tree house they didn't think too much of it as it was run down and falling apart.Apple bloom single hoofly fixed the place up in a very short amount of time.
The two of them were greeted by the orange pegasus with a fuchsia mane and tail Scootaloo. The tomboyish pegasus rolled her eyes.
"your sister can be a real pain sometimes." Scootaloo scoffed
Sweetie belle didn't know how to reply,while Scootaloo had been correct, Sweetie belle still didn't like anyone to talk negatively about her sister. Before Sweetie belle could utter a word Apple bloom pulled the two together.
"Our cutie marks ain't gonna find'em selves ya know." she said pulling the two in for a hug.
"yeah yeah." Scootaloo replied as she tried to pry Apple bloom off of her.
Sweetie belle smiled then nodded in approval. She wasnt one hold a grudge for long.
"we gotta do as many things as we can, cause we don't got much time. My sis is suspose to be checkin' up on us an hour after sundown."Apple bloom said with a slight amount of worry in her voice
Scootaloo narrowered her eyes and glared at Sweetie belle who could only smile nervously back.
"When my sis comes we can pretend were asleep until she leaves but we can"t be a hollerin' too loudly cause my sis has awfully good hearin."Apple bloom continued
Scootaloo smiled: her mood finally back to normal.
"Ok Crusaders!!! time to get our cutie marks!!" Scootaloo bellowed with excitment
"Yyaaaaaayy!!" Sweetie belle cheered with a squeak
" i gotta list of things we can try out." Apple bloom said as she moved to the back of the club house and grabbed a piece of paper with her mouth.
"..ee.." Apple bloom said holding up the paper
The three Crusaders stared at the paper for a few minutes then started their quest. One by one they tried the things on Apple bloom's list from jump rope to other sport-like activities but nothing seemed to come of it. By sundown they had already finished two thirds of the list. Tired and exhausted the three of them layed on the floor of the club house.
"Why...is..getting...a...cutie...mark..so.hard."Scootaloo said breathing heavily
"we.....just gotta keep at it." Apple bloom said as she jumped to her hooves but quickly lost her balance and fell backward.
"I don't know maybe we did enough for one night." Sweetie belle said still on her back
"come on girls we can't give up so easily." scootaloo said as she turned to her side to stand back up.
"i mean we have all night to tr......" scootaloo began
"Hey girls its time for lights out." a familiar voice called from outside with the same southern tone as Apple bloom.
"oh shoot it's my sis!" Apple bloom exclaimed
the three fillies quickly ran to the doorway of the club house only to see Apple blooms older sister Applejack the orange blonde maned earth pony Standing just under the club house
"I reckon you girl been up long enough." Applejack called up
"but sis!!" Apple bloom called down.
"no buts you girls need your sleep." Applejack said with a stern face
"Come on were trying for our cutie marks." Scootaloo said in defiance
"I understand how you girls feel....heck i can barly remember a time without mines but..."Applejack shook her head to stop herself
" The point is that ya'll got to go to bed now you hear me." Applejack yelled up to the three fillies
The three fillies knew their was no arguing; afterall they planned to stay up anyway, but felt they needed to put up a defence to trick Applejack.
"Ok sis, ain't no reason to continue this we'll go to bed right away." Apple bloom said winking to the others.
"Ok then you three best be off to bed now ya hear." Applejack said with a smile.
the three Crusaders moved to their sleeping bags as Apple bloom turned off the lights.
"Good night guys, good night Applejack."Sweetie belle called out as she stuffed herself inside her sleeping bag
"Yeah good night, and you too Applejack." scootaloo said as she pretended to get into her sleeping bag.
"Good night guys and good night sis" Apple bloom said as she placed her sleeping bag over herself.
"Alright then good night girls.I'll be back in the mornin." applejack said as she turned around to go back to her home.
"Now i don't wanna be comin back here so you girls go to sleep now alright."Applejack said turning her head back to the club house.
"we will!"Sweetie belle called back to Applejack
Scootaloo simply shook her head and sighed
Applejack shook her head and smiled.
"Those girls'll be up all night." the Mare chuckled to herself. "There ain't too many chores with the Zap apples still not in season yet so i'll let'em sleep till noon or so."Applejack thought as she continued home.
"Ha i don't think she suspects a thing." Scootaloo whispered
"Alright we'll wait a few minutes then we'll continue from where we left off." Apple bloom whispered back.
Sweetie belle stared out the window looking over the stars and the moon.
"you know there sure are alot of stars."Sweetie belle said with a smile.
"yeah i reckon there is" Apple bloom replied slowly.
"Star smars: who cares about stars it's cutie marks we should be thinking about."scootaloo said crossly.
Apple bloom glared at Scootaloo for a second before scootaloo put her head down.
"Uh yeah sorry." Scootaloo apologized quickly.
Sweetie belle didn't think anything of it and continued to look upward into the sky.
"Hey do you guys ever wonder if there are other worlds out there, like a different reality or something?" the unicorn asked slowly.
"I gotta say i've never thought about it." Apple bloom said quietly
Scootaloo opened her mouth to say something but Apple bloom quickly gave her a glare.
"Yeah neither have i." scootaloo replied reluctantly
"I mean there could be another ponyville or even another equestria." Sweetie belle said with wonder
"Maybe...." Apple bloom replied
Scootaloo simply sighed
"Whatever lets get back to us getting our cutie marks."Scootaloo scoffed.
sweetie belle continued looking up into the night sky wondering if another version of herself was staring up at the same sky.

Meanwhile at that same moment in the Friendship is witchcraft reality;(a parallel reality close to the original) a dark cloud was slowly forming over a small cottage in the woods.
"I'm so glad i finally profected baking portals, and i'm sure mines will be better then the gyspy's portal." A quiet but determined voice said.
Fluttershy The yellow pink mained Pegasus stood wearily infront of a gapping onxy pot. She turned slowly showing off her three butterfly cutie mark on her flank.
"Ok then time to test it." Fluttershy said as she put the last ingrident (an eye of newt) into the pot.
Suddenly the room began to flash as the portal began to form. Fluttershy took a few steps back as not to get sucked into the portal. A black mist began to seep out of the interdimensional hole; then a shadowy arm appeared from the portal.
"After years of preperation the day has finally come." Fluttershy thought as the shadowy creature continued to step out of the portal.
"Free at last!!!!!"the shadow creature screeched, it's voice echoed through the cottage.
The yellow Pegasus stared blankly at the strange creature. It looked nothing like the creature she was expecting it to be. She was expecting a blob-like creature but instead it looked like a demonic shadow.
"I...um thought you would look differently....you are Lord Smooze...right."
The demonic creature tilted it's head.
"Yes" It hissed
"Hail lord smooze!" Fluttershy yelled but her voice was barley above a whisper.
"Was it you who freed me? " The creature questioned the yellow pony
"Oh yes it was me, i started this cult in order to free you.It all has to do with my father but....oh i'm sorry " Fluttershy said still speaking very softly
"Did you now,to think a pony would be the one to free me from my prison. " Smooze said with an overpowering voice.
" It took alot of work and quite a few bunny fires but i finally found a way to do it." Fluttershy said smiling
" Tell me creature what are you called? " Smooze said staring at her with red glowing eyes.
"Oh i'm Fluttershy, but in the cult they call me cult leader Fluttershy. you can call me Fluttershy if you want to." Fluttershy said still a little intimidated by the creature
The shadow creature started to laugh an unholy laugh
" Then i shall call you The Cult leader from this day forth. " Smooze said nearly knocking the yellow pony over with its voice.
"oh thank you but...do you think it's a little much." Cult leader Fluttershy said blushing
"Not at all . " The creature said with a twisted grin
"Thank you sir....praise lord Smooze." Cult leader Fluttershy continued.
" You shall help me in my goal of dimensional conquest,as my full strength is yell to recover. " Smooze said as it started to move on its shadowy feet.
Cult leader Fluttershy nodded happily.
"oh yes i'll do anything lord smooze.Well almost anything....theres still a few things i don't think i can...oh i'm sorry...am i talking too much."Cult leader Fluttershy said as she started to the door.
Smooze didn't answer so Fluttershy continued.
"Oh but you should know i had a little help from this pony from another dimension. The first time I opened a portal... it opened in her world and after some talking to she agreed to help with your resurrection and so...."Cult leader Fluttershy stopped when she turned only to see Smooze's body shaking violantly.
"No this feeling.....it couldn't be.... "Smooze said,it voice was much lower
Smooze turned to Fluttershy
"Pony who freed me.... you haven't destroyed it have you....why would you free....me if it still exists. "Smooze said as if in pain.
Fluttershy was baffled
"I'm sorry sir i don't understand, what haven't i destroyed?" she question the demon.
"The medallion of hope....i can feel it...even from this distance...i can feel it . "Smooze said it's voice even lower now.
"where can we find this medallion of hope?"Cult leader Fluttershy quickly asked.
"not...here...not in this.....dimension...this isn't the original.... "Smooze started
Smooze lifted it's shadow hand up.
"Um sir what are..."Cult leader Fluttershy started
"i will use my strength to find....it. "Smooze said as it closed its eyes
suddenly an image appeared in the center of Smoozes hand.
"Yes i see....it is connected...to her...whether she knows it or not...it's there." Smooze said as it stared at its hand
Fluttershy gasped upon seeing the imagine
"You mean it's in her possession."Cult leader Fluttershy said quickly.
"Yes and no but until.....she is taken care of my power will....never be at it's full. "Smooze said still staring into it's hand
"You mean kill her."Fluttershy said quickly
Fluttershy stared at the image, it was Sweetie belle.
"but surly we can just take medallion from her....we don't have to hurt her...." Fluttershy pleaded
"Foolish mortal...you know nothing..The medallion...is connect to the last one....to touch it....it exists as long as she lives....it is likely.......she knows nothing about it...and as long as she doesn't the medallion will.....not show itself....therefore.... " Smooze said with labored breaths
"but to kill her...."Fluttershy said softly
"It is the quickist and easiest solution. " Smooze said without hesitation
"But i can't...,bunny fires are one thing but murder is another thing entirly.After killing my father i promised myself i'd refrain from murdering anypony else."Fluttershy said as she took a few steps back.
Smooze stared at Fluttershy it's red eye began to glow brighter and brighter.
"You think you have a choice! You who have woken me now feels unsure!! what did you think would happen with my return!!! " Smooze snarled
"anything but this...." The yellow Mare cried.
"It's too late now! you will help me no matter what! "Smooze barked.
"Please i can't Rarity will never forgive me." Fluttershy pleaded as tears began falling down her face.
"Don't worry your help will involuntary. "Smooze said with a twisted smile
"what do you..." Fluttershy started.
Smooze stood up. it's body began to spread out.
"no!! what are you doing..."Fluttershy screamed
"My body isn't strong enough right now, as such if nothing is done i will simply fade away.so thats where you come in." Smooze said as its body became vaper-like
Suddenly Fluttershys body felt very cold, she looked down in horror as the vaper was seeping into her body.
"Now i will have your body, and with it i will destroy the medallion of hope.Then i will take my revenge on all you stupid foolish ponies!!!! " Smooth shouted
"no...please..this...isn't...what i wanted..........." fluttershy managed to get out before everything went dark.
Fluttershy let out one final earth shattering scream then went silent.
fluttershy fell to the ground then slow got back to her hooves.
"Yes this will do nicely. " Fluttershy said her voice was now a combination of her own voice and smooze's voice.
Fluttershy turned to a mirror;her eyes were now blood red.Fluttershy waved her hoove and a cape of darkness formed around her.
"Cult leader Fluttershy was it.Such a good name i have given you. " Fluttershy chuckled.
"i think this is the start of a beautiful friendship ." Cult leader Fluttershy said to herself in the mirror.
She turned then began laughing maliciously, blissfully unaware of the bushes outside the of cottage as they began to sway back and forth.
"[error code 01101 abnormality detected, initiate help sequence]" a voice from the bushes said.
With a flash a second Sweetie belle lept out of the bushes and began heading back to ponyville.
(The friendship is witchcraft or Fiw version of Sweetie Belle; unbeknownst to herself and everyone around her is actually a robot. Whenever she moves she makes metelic sounds alhough nopony seems to notice this.)
Sweetie bot had been getting weird signals all night. Her curiosity got the better of her and the robotic filly had followed the signals to their source .She had seen everything; heard everything involving the demon Smooze. She knew what to do but she needed help and there was only one pony capable of helping her now.
