The Shadow King

The arrival at the fifth floor throne room had kept Mokuba, Caring, Twilight and the rest on their guard. They had walked through the portal which lead to a hallway. The group walked down together before arriving at the throne room's doors.

"When we get in and they focus on us, everyone begin to attack. Got it?" Mokuba told them with a stern-yet-encouraging voice. They nodded their heads in agreement and opens the doors. To their surprise, the room was empty besides the Shadow-lings resting on the walls as little shades. The throne was cursed and occupied by an elderly figure. Mokuba was in shock when he found out who it was, along with everyone else.

"S-S-Shasmir?! Your THEIR leader!?" He exclaimed in surprise. Shasmir was cursed, as there was shadowy marks all over his body, and his eyes glowed dark purple.

"I HAD A FEELING YOU WOULD SHOW, SON OF SOMBRA." The cursed elder said in a dark, echoing and terrifying voice. "I SHALL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DESTROY THE CORE OF THE PORTAL. EQUISTERA.... IS THEIR HOME NOW!" He slowly extended his hand, waving it slowly, and the shadows switched from resting mode to attack mode. Twilight, Caring, Mokuba and the others had held them all off.

"WE WON'T ALLOW YOU TO TAKE EQUISTERA!" Caring shouted as he slayed countless shadows. They kept fighting until the shadows were no longer. Then, Shasmir summoned a shadow of.... MOKUBA?!

"T-that's... THAT'S ME! But how?!" He said in shock. "NO TIME FOR TALK. FINISH THEM NOW!" Shasmir said, and the shadow attacked Mokuba.

Mokuba's reaction was fast, as he pulled out Monoceros and began fighting off the shadow of himself. One wrong mistake for him and it was over, but he could say the same for this evil shadow of himself. They collided blades, clashing and trying to slash the skin of one another. Mokuba realized the one mistake he and the shadow couldn't do to counter... Dodge roll-Attack. As Mokuba blocked the next swing from his shadow's sword, he jumped back, dodge rolled and swung his sword perfectly at the shadow's head. The shadow tried to counter but with the hit of Mokuba's blade, the shadow's head was decapitated. Twilight, Caring and his friends were chained to the wall by shadow as Shasmir approached.

"EXCELLENT WORK, SOMBRA'S OFFSPRING. NOW I SHALL GIVE YOU A CHOICE. JOIN ME, JOIN THE SHADOWS, TOGETHER WE SHALL TAKE OVER EQUISTERA. USE YOUR AGGRESSIVE FEELINGS AND STRIKE YOUR SO CALLED FRIENDS DOWN. LET THE HATE FLOW THROUGH YOU!" Shasmir moaned.

Mokuba was silent for a moment, looking back at his friends before looking at Shasmir.

"... Never. I've already made myself sworn to protecting the world I grew up in. I won't let you destroy it. You've lost. Give in, Shasmir." Mokuba answered. Shasmir had gotten angry at this.

"THEN YOU SHALL DIE!" He exclaimed, jumping back and starting to electrocute him. Mokuba tried to block with Monoceros, but when too much damage came to it, it broke. He moaned and yelled in excruciating pain.

"No... NO!" Caring yelled, breaking the shadows on his friends and running to Mokuba. Shasmir saw him and blasted him back, knocking him out cold.

"CARING!" The elements said with a scared manner.

"T-Twilight... I need the elements power.... I-I won't last l-longer without tapping into i-its powers!" Mokuba was still getting shocked but reached out to Twilight. Twilight nodded in agreement and teamed with the other elements to power up Mokuba. He began to glow as he absorbed the powers of the elements, as Monoceros reformed to a more powerful form, and Mokuba appeared, fully powered by the elements and his power, into a new form.

"Wow... He's reformed into a new form!" Twilight gasped, looking in amazement.

"This is the power.... OF THE NEO-STAR KNIGHT!" Mokuba said, firing a giant multicolored beam from his sword.

Shasmir fired one of his own, but could not defeat it's power. "THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Shasmir said, fading away to the laser. As Mokuba turned back to his original state, he passed out due to exhaustion.
