Trixie's Princess Dream

Trixie's Princess Dream

Trixie decided she would stop in Dodge Junction on her way to Manehattan for her next magic show. As she strolled into her hotel for the evening she watched the beautiful sunset.

Trixie crawled into bed that night and lay down her head, hoping for wonderful dreams. But what she didn’t know was the dream was going to be not just good, but spectacular…

Princess Trixie stretched her fore hooves in the air, it was morning in Vanhoover and Trixie was the ruler. She had a white four-poster bed with blue curtains. Her castle was a beautiful blue color, the perfect shade of blue, in Trixie’s opinion. She hopped out of bed and put on her tiara. Today is going to be a good day, she thought. Trixie was going to Gala Gowns today to pick out a new ball gown for her next gala.

As she strolled down Mane Street, ponies everywhere greeted her with smiles and waves. “Good Morning Princess Trixie!” They shouted. Trixie smiled and waved back at the ponies who greeted her, she loved all the attention. Being princess was delightful!

Gala Gowns was in an expensiveshopping plaza that Trixie loved going to often. She strolleddown the cobble stone path in the shopping plaza on her way to Gala Gowns, glancing in the other shop windows as she passed.

The bell rang as she entered Gala Gowns, the shopkeeper, Lyra Heartstrings, grinned at her as she entered. “Hello Princess Trixie! How are you this fine morning? Are you here to buy a gown for your next gala?”

Lyra knew Trixie all too well, Trixie came to her store about once a month; always buying ball gowns, and of course accessories to go with it! She did occasionally wear the same gown twice…but most of the time she bought a new one.

“I’m doing well, thank you.” Trixie replied, smiling to the pastel green pony. “Yes, but this time…” she grinned, “it’s for the Grand Galloping Gala in Canterlot!”

“Ooh!” Lyra squealed. “I’ll be there too! I’m glad you can finally make it this year!”

Trixie had only been a Princess-and ruler of Vanhoover-for about two years now, and both years she had been too busy to go.

“This is going to be fun!” Lyra squealed, leading Trixie to the gowns she thought she might like.

After about two hours, Trixie finally had the perfect outfit for the gala. It was a light pink dress with gold trim, gold-colored shoes, and a gold-colored necklace. “You look stunning, Princess!” Lyra exclaimed.
Trixie grinned, following Lyra to the check-out counter.

A week later Trixie flew to Canterlot for the Grand Galloping Gala. She was an alicorn now-being a princess-and she absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed her wings. Being able to fly wherever she wanted whenever she wanted was brilliant! No more waiting for the Friendship Express to arrive, she could just leave when she wanted.

When Trixie arrived at the gala she was greeted by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They said that the other princesses, Cadance and Twilight Sparkle, would arrive soon. Ponies were already in the large gala room, chatting away with their friends while waiting for the rest of the ponies to arrive to start the dancing and eating. Trixie waited outside with Celestia and Luna, greeting all the ponies as they entered the gala room. She was eager for Twilight and her friends; Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack to arrive.

Even though their first impression wasn’t that great, Trixie had changed and was now friends with them. She was also eager to see Lyra, she and the shopkeeper had become good friends over the past two years.

When Trixie’s friends arrived they greeted each other with smiles and hugs. They all entered the gala room together. Shortly there after, all the guests had arrived and princesses’ Celestia and Luna went to the front of the gala room to say, into a microphone of course, that the gala had officially started!

Trixie and Lyra decided to go to the refreshment table first. After picking up their petite fours they went outside onto the balcony, that connected to the gala room, to eat. The balcony was a fairly largehalf-oval shape, the swirly black metal wall surrounding the balcony covered in vines with blooming yellow flowers and green leaves. There were several tables and a few otherponies on the balcony. Lyra and Trixie chatted about various things going on in their lives while eating their cupcakes and drinking their fruit punch. After they had finished their refreshments Trixie and Lyra went back into the gala room for some dancing.

A few hours went by, Trixie was having so much fun with her friends the time seemed to pass quickly. Sometime during that evening Fleur Dis Lee - a white unicorn with a light pink mane-slowly, inconspicuously, edged her way towards Princess Celestia. Trixie noticed this and was instantly suspicious, what was Fleur Dis Lee doing?

Trixie told the nice colt she was dancing with she had to go, then slowly, trying not to draw attention to herself, she walked towards Fleur Dis Lee. Unfortunately, she was a bit late. Fleur Dis Lee was right in front of Princess Celestia now, Celestia seemed to be chatting with her. Hmmm…what was going on? Trixie couldn’t help still being suspicious. Fleur Dis Lee noticed Trixie standing nearbystaring at her, Fleur Dis Lee gave Trixie an evil grin; but only for a moment, then turned back to talking with Celestia, all smiles again. Something was definitely wrong.

Trixie was about to approach them when Fleur Dis Lee suddenly started aiming all her unicorn magic at Princess Celestia’s horn. She was draining Celestia’s magic! Celestia gasped, surprised, but only for a moment. She used her alicorn magic and defended herself; bringing her alicorn magic back to her horn.

But that wasn’t enough, it seemed Fleur Dis Lee was much more powerful than she should have been. She was winning. Trixie quickly stepped forward, prepared to help Celestia with her unicorn magic. Together Princesses’ Celestia and Trixie stopped Fleur Dis Lee from draining Celestia’s magic.

Fleur Dis Lee collapsed on the floor, exhausted after failing from her duel with Celestia. She still had her magic, just not Celestia’s. Fleur Dis Lee changed into her true self, a changeling. Everypony gasped. “Leave Equestria alone!” Princess Luna bellowed, running over to join her sister. The changeling, knowing that it had lost, quickly retreated, flying out the big window in the gala room. The changeling was gone, the only problem was; where was the real Fleur Dis Lee?

Trixie woke up, the sun was shining brightly through her window. Ugh! If only I’d remembered to close the curtains! Trixie grumbled, after realizing it was only a dream. Too bad, it would have been wonderful if it were real. Also too bad the dream had to end early, Trixie really wanted to find out what happened to the real Fleur Dis Lee.
