//------------------------------// // Protect The Village! // Story: Dawn Of The Young Star: A role-play turned story By Dalton1 and TheStarKnightOfLuna // by TheStarKnightOfLuna //------------------------------// Twilight had looked at Shasmir when he had been shocked that these strange, shadowy creatures had invaded Hana No Mura. "Wait a second. You know these thing?!" The young princess said in a bit of shock. Shasmir had been in shock as well, before turning his head to her. "OF COURSE I DO! These 'things' are the shadows of people way before our time, brought back, knowing one objective and nothing else. This objective? Destroy towns and villages, Corrupt the souls of others, and Take Over civilizations long lost to rebuild their numbers. They were given many names, but the one they were known by most... Shadow-lings." Shasmir explained. Caring didn't want to sit around anymore. He got up and headed straight for the door. "YOU WANT TO FIGHT THEM?! ARE YOU INSANE!?" The village elder was shocked by Caring's rash action as he went to the door. Caring looked into his eyes with a glare of confidence and bravery. "It's the only thing we can do right now." He answered at last. It was silence for another five to seven minutes in the room. Twilight, who had a worried look on her face, got up, along with the others. "I'm afraid h-he's right, S-Shasmir." Fluttershy quietly murmured. Caring had conjured a sword with his magic and grasped it tight, looking at the others who held weapons like he did. "Now, when these doors open, we must be ready to fight anything that attacks us or others. Are we all in agreement?" Caring had seemed to be giving motivation to them, as the room was about silent for three minutes, as the shadow-lings started to slowly seep into the elders house. "I guess we have no choice. So yes." Spike finally answered. They busted out the door and started to fight them off. Fluttershy showed some signs of aggression while fighting them, but showed some signs of sadness while destroying them as well. Rainbow didn't hold back, as she took them down with her swift yet strong movements The Element of Loyalty had on display, As the others fought in small groups, fending them off and leading the survivors to safety. "Flutter, I didn't know you could be this aggressive. But its working." Rainbow noted as they fought more off together. Flutter let out a small sigh and continued fighting as well. "Sometimes you have to let loose of the bottled anger you keep deep inside of your soul." She replied shortly after. As the shadow-lings slowly started to retreat, Twilight looked at the burned and destroyed village that surrounded them. "We have to lead everyone as far away from here as possible. You must get negotiations with the Princesses before this gets out of hand and see what we can do to fight them off." Shasmir told her, like it was the only viable thing he could come up with. "... Your right. Alright, lead your people to Canterlot, it's the only place they can truly be safe." Twilight replied in a calm sense of manner. Shasmir nodded his head and lead the people to Canterlot, along with Twilight. A young boy, who had blue hair with a small streak of light purple going through it, and wore a Polo, Jeans, and Tennis Shoes, had rushed home after seeing the fires and destruction coming from the village. He looked all over for something, or... Someone. As he approached his destroyed house, he checked around to see if his adoptive father was still around the area. While walking, he found a small necklace. He knew this necklace that was in front of his destroyed home, and got on his knees in grief. "N-no.... No.... This can't be....!!" He muttered, slowly starting to cry. After a brief moment of sadness, he wiped his tears off with a small cloth he kept in his pocket, and looked around. He had saw Twilight from a distance, going through the village gates, as the shadow-lings began to follow the group. He felt furious when he saw this. "It was her.... They would only follow whoever had summoned them, or by order. She must have ordered them in a small group to follow....!" He thought deeply, frustrated. "Whoever you are, whatever your goal is... I will not let you retrieve it. I will avenge my adoptive father and all those who died in the village... BY KILLING YOU." He muttered, taking another route to Canterlot.
