Unfortunately, the difficulty of moving in the water and the agility of the tiny fish meant my clumsy attempt fell dispiritingly short. The fish bolted, diving into a crevice between coral outcroppings, and I could feel the rumbles of laughter from Sawtooth, still holding me.
