Chapter 2: Let's Go To The Movies
Riff, Silver Spoon, and the gang goes through the theater, going past the concession stand which has lines. Riff spoke, "All right. We will get us the seats. Baldy, get us some snacks!"
"Roger!" Baldy exclaims, saluting. As his boss, his date and pals heads off to the theater, the minion gallops forward, pushing through a couple of ponies in line. "Come on, move it, pal! Coming through, move and shove it!"
The ponies in line looks upset as Baldy made his way up front to where Mr. and Mrs. Cake are at with the foals. The husband ask his wife, "Honey? Do you want anything?" Suddenly, Baldy cuts in front of them, much to their shock.
"Awww, Mr. Cake called me honey."
"Hey!" Mrs. Cake protests. The husband fumes angrily as Baldy spoke to the usher who got the snacks for him.
"Right, I will have one big popcorn bucket, two substitute meat dogs, no mustard. Gooper of Raisinets. Good question. Hey, ugly, what shall I get?" Baldy ask Mr. Cake. However, the angry Sugarcube Corner owner grabs him and kicks him away. "Hey! I wasn't finish!"
"You are now!" Mr. and Mrs. Cake snaps angrily at Baldy who got send flying into the theater.
Baldy landed in the theater, landing in a bunch of snacks that got stick to him. The minion groans and spots where Riff's group is at.
"Hey, Riff! Boss! Hey, Biff!" Baldy calls out as he goes over to the aisle where Riff's group is at, pushing through a lot of ponies, causing more snacks to fall onto him. "Movie it, loser! Move your...ouch! Hey, rude, jerk! Oh, got some snacks."
"Hoo boy." Pipsqueak said as he, Nyx and Scootaloo got into their seats with their snacks. Luckily, they took the express lane and paid for their snacks ahead of time.
"About time, Baldy." Goggles said as Baldy arrives. "Where's the snacks?"
"Got into some trouble. Want some?" Baldy ask, putting some popcorn into a candy box, offering it to Riff and Silver Spoon.
"Nah, we snuck ours in." Riff remarks, shrugging as he and his other minions took some snacks that they snuck into the theater.
"You will get into trouble for doing that." Silver said in disapproval to Riff. Sneaking snacks into the theater is against the rules.
"Your point?"
Soon the theater turns dark as the curtain lifts up. Matchstick jumps around, calling out, "Lights are dimming-a! Lights are dimming-a!"
Everyone shushes Matchstick in annoyance. A hoof appears on the big screen, holding a conductor's baton as if to begin a musical performance. Silver Spoon is horrified with mostly everyone else as she screams, "Yikes! It's the sound system promo!"
"Hit the deck!" Scootaloo screams out. The CMC and most of the audience head for cover and put on helmets, much to the confusion of Riff's goons.
Soon the hoof waves as a burst of sound broke loudly throughout the theater, many ponies who weren't fortunate enough to duck in time scream as they were blown away. A bunch of glass break, an explosion occurred and a head explode as a result.
Eventually though, the 'MYSTIC' logo is seen as the surviving audience members cheers on with a deep voice saying some small words on the screen, "The audience is now deaf."
Granny Smith, unbudged, frowns as she shouts to the big screen, "Turn it up! Turn it up!"
Soon a river area appears where a stallion is grinning to the camera, speaking, "Hey! My name is Ponywriter, reporter for the deviant stories news!"
"Ugh, I hate commercials!" Riff groans out as he sat down. "They are annoying."
"Writing is a tough for a reporter, I need to relax sometimes. So I come to the river because even serious journalists like yours truly gotta unwind."
"Will you shut up already?!" Goggles snaps at the pony on the big screen. Of course, this made the other movie goers shush him in annoyance.
"Why don't YOU shut up, Four-Eyes?!" Matelda snapped at the goon as she, Jakk Checkers and Colbly Lollygagger sat from a few seats behind the CMC's and Riff's gang's.
"Yeah, down in front!" Jakk Checkers shouted as he threw his popcorn at Goggles, hitting him in the head hard.
"Especially when it comes to making rants on events in comic books, yelling and insulting certain ponies, calling names and even got the alter ego the size of..." Ponywriter said, beginning to get upset. But he calms down and gave an awkward chuckle. "But I digress, really."
Soon the commercial is done as ad shows up which said, "No smoking in the theater". Sure enough, some of the foals cheers as a few smokers frowns and left the theater. A rating appears being shown which said "This movie is rated PG: not suited for bullies." Silver Spoon glares at Riff's group who gave awkward chuckles.
Soon the film's title appears on the screen. Baldy cheers out, "All right! The movie is starting!" The audience shushes at him in annoyance once more.
Riff grins as he prepares to take Silver by the hoof. The filly scowls as she smacks his hoof away, "Come on! I agree on the date, no hanky panky!"
"Come on, we're here, no one's paying attention to us." Riff said slyly trying to get "friendly" with Silver Spoon.
"Will you stop?!"
"Now I don't like the looks of this." Nyx whispers to Scootaloo, not likely what Riff is doing. "We better move in closer."
"Good idea, come on." Scootaloo whispers, agreeing as the two fillies and Pipsqueak left the seats to get closer to make sure that Riff doesn't try anything funny.
Riff chuckles as he tries to tickle Silver, making her push him away, snapping, "Riff, stop!"
"Come on, it's fun!" Riff exclaims with glee.
"Get your hooves off or I will yell out "rat"." Silver remarks with a frown to her "date'.
"Better do as she says, Flankface!" Jakk snapped to Riff.
"Hey, make like a banana and scram!" Riff snaps at Jakk in annoyance.
"Duh, that's split, dummy!" Colby corrected with a frown.
"Boss, we got a problem." Matchstick said, motioning to Nyx's group getting closer.
"Well, deal with them, go on!" Riff snaps, trying to get "friendly" with Silver. He notices his pals still around. "Well, get lost, this ain't no peep show!"
"Oh! Y-Yes, boss!" Baldy said a bit quickly before he and the rest of Riff's goons headed towards Nyx's group.
"We better help make sure Silver Spoon doesn't get violated." Matelda whispered to Jakk and Colby cautiously.
"Right. Let's go." Jakk agreed quietly before he, Matelda and Colby started following after Nyx's group.
Goggles got to work on using his special goggles. Anyone who saw a special glow around the screen dismissed it as part of the special effects.
Nyx's group is coming up as a growl is heard. Pipsqueak nervously say, "Err, Nyx?"
"Not now, Pipsqueak. Can't your stomach keep quiet?" Nyx asks Pipsqueak quietly.
"I think we were right in thinking those guys are up to something." Pipsqueak mumbles a bit.
"Why you say that?" Nyx ask her friend curiously.
"Because THAT ISN'T MY STOMACH!" Pipsqueak cries out in horror.
The trio turns, yelping as a huge bug like creature roars at them. It's Beera!
"GIANT BUG!!!" Scootaloo screamed in fear.
The bee roars as he snaps at the trio who dodges. The ponies gasped but cheers, they think this is part of the movie!
"I love the movie effects!" One of the Cloudsdale jocks Hoops laughs eagerly.
Nyx didn't waste time in turning into her adult form, blasting away Beera. Goggles brought this to life to keep her group busy.
Scootaloo yelps as something almost got her: a huge Pegasus pony with boxing gloves roars out, "YOOOO!!!"
"Gah! Rocky Balpony! And he isn't even a bad guy!" Scootaloo exclaims in alarm, dodging a boxing punch.
"Hang on, Scoot-Scoot! We're coming!" Jakk shouted as he, Colby and Matelda charged towards Beera and Rocky.
"Duck!" Colby exclaims in alarm as the trio dodges a laser slash from a masked pony. "Gah! It's Cyro Ken!"
"And here I thought the Mystic Wars was a movie franchise!" Matelda exclaims as she dodges lightning from the villain.
Beera flew at Nyx who dodges it, making the monster hit Rocky instead, knocking him away from Scootaloo. Adult Nyx fires at the two, blasting them into oblivion.
"Come on, we got to help Jakk's group." Nyx said, seeing that Jakk's group needs help against the Mystic Wars villain.
"Right!" Pipsqueak said with a nod.
With the others continuing fighting the movie villains, Silver Spoon groans as she tries to get up, only for Riff to pull her down.
"Going somewhere, Silvery?" Riff ask slyly.
"I ain't going to be involved if you attack my friends like this!" Silver Spoon scowls angrily. She is seeing the fighting happening. Although the audience thinks it’s part of the special effects, the filly knows otherwise.
"Ignore them and kiss me." Riff laughs as he leans over for a kiss.
The grey filly gasped in outrage before she punched him in the nose as she shouted, "You impertinent pig!!! How could you say such horsecrap and think only of yourself?! I can't believe you!"
"Better do it, kid." Matchstick demands as he makes fire magic appear.
Riff comment, "Look, Silver, either you go out with me AND allow me to kiss you or Matchstick will use his fire magic to burn down the theater. The choice is yours."
Silver Spoon looks worried. If she refuses, this whole place will go down. But luckily, Pipsqueak appears and smack both Riff and Matchstick from behind with a club.
"Back off, manure-for-brains!" Pipsqueak shouted.
"Gah! Matchstick, beat him!" Riff exclaims furiously to Matchstick.
"Not a chance!" Scootaloo snaps as she flies in and knocks Matchstick before he could attack. "This is a movie theater, not a fighting ground, and you got no right in almost hurting Silver Spoon and us!"
"What does she have to do to make it clear to you plotheads?!" Matelda yelled, "She wants to be with her friends and not you!"
"Lookee what we got here, a unicorn who thinks she's a witch!" Riff exclaims mockingly. Then he said to Matelda in amusement, "Why don't you go back to Canterlot and get lost, horn head!"
"DON'T CALL ME HORNHEAD!!!" Matelda shouted in rage as she casted a spell on Riff, which shockingly hit him across the face real hard like an invisible fist!
Jakk quickly knocks Goggles down and steps on the goggles that fell off, breaking them. This causes the movie villains to disappear from sight. At least they won't be a problem.
"It's over, get out of the theater now!" Scootaloo exclaims furiously to Riff who recovers from Matelda's attack.
Riff ask, "What's the matter, Scootaloo? Chicken?" before adding "That's it, isn't it? Too chicken to try fighting me without your alicorn friend backing you up."
Scootaloo snarl, "NOPONY calls me "'chicken'"." She propel her scooter at Riff and his gang fast enough and hard enough to literally bowl them over and then zip around all four of them with a length of rope just as they are getting to their feet. The Pegasus filly add, "But I am ALSO not stupid enough to try going hoof-to-hoof with you."
“But that doesn’t mean she can’t.” Matelda said with a smirk, motioning to Silver Spoon. “Care to do the honors?”
"With pleasure!" Silver snarled as she grabbed the rope, "Riff, you sir are the biggest jerk in Ponyville! The only thing richer about you is your bullying attitude! Didn't you hear what my friends said before?! I am TRYING to get away from YOU! You are nothing but a selfish, worthless waste of pony! You have a personality that rivals spore mold! On the evolutionary chart, you rank someplace between head cheese and toaster ovens! You're a cruise to nowhere! A null, a void, a zero! You, sir, stink like horsecrap!"
"But Silver, babe--" Riff started to protest.
"But nothing, plothead! And don't ever! EVER! Call me babe!" Silver shouted in rage. She then grabbed Riff and yanked him to her face and gave him a hateful, threatening glare in the eyes as she snarled, "Read my lips! I! DON'T! LIKE! YOU!!!!" On 'LIKE', With Nyx's help, on 'I', Silver Spoon grabbed the four bullies and spun them around like mad on 'DON'T' before she threw Riff up in the air on 'LIKE', and on 'YOU', she jumped and kicked Riff in the grapefruits, sending him and his gang flying out the theater doors. The crowd, seeing this, cheered wildly.
Nyx changes back to normal as she said, "Sorry about that, folks! We can go back to the movie viewing now!"
Everypony goes back to watching the film, Nyx sat down next to Pipsqueak who comments, "At last, we can watch this in peace."
Nyx comment, "The odd thing is, Riff and his gang provided almost as much action OFF-screen as the villains and monsters that were ON-screen."

A few weeks later....
"Happy birthday, happy birthday to you!" Everyone at the birthday party sings out to Silver Spoon's mother in the shadows. The foals like Diamond Tiara, Pipsqueak and all of the CMC are present with the birthday present she worked all summer to raise the money for. It took all summer but Silver Spoon was able to get the money necessary for the present.
The party continues onward with the guests eating cake and/or having fun. Silver Spoon sighs, "At least all that mess is over. I can't believe you almost got killed by a mad griffin hitchhiker!"
"Yeah, me too." Diamond remarks with a chuckle. The former bully comment, "I owe you an apology for missing the mess with Riff, Silver, but I AM glad you STILL had all the help you needed."
"Me too. Granted, Riff is gonna be stubborn and go after me, but at least he will think twice before asking me out again."
"Your summer is a bit advanced than my trip to Whinny Land, as well as Apple Bloom's tinkering and the play Snips and Snails are in."
"I know!" Silver Spoon giggles in delight. She sighs, "Wow, can't believe summer is almost over. We're going back to school soon."
Diamond comments, "Considering the messes we got into this summer, going back to school is actually going to be a relief, as much as I can't believe I'm actually saying that."
"Yeah, me too."
