Chapter 18: Morning news

I awake to noises coming from the bathroom
“Are you Alright Rarity” I say tiredly
“Yeah im okay I guess it’s just morning sickness” moans Rarity
“You sure, how long have you been like this?” I ask
“a couple of days now”
“Rarity I think you should go and see a doctor”
“Na I’ll be alright in a minute”
“Rarity im not asking if you want to, Im saying you have to”
“Fine I’ll go and see the doctor, but let me get ready first”
“I don’t think the doctor is going to care how pretty you look” I laugh
“I need a shower first anyway” giggles Rarity
As Rarity heads to the shower I hear a knocking at Rarity’s front door
“Ill get it” I say rushing down stairs, “Hold on I’ll be there in a minute”
I open the door to a purple pony 
“Twilight Sparkle you wanted to see me if I’m correct”
“Yes I did, may I come in”
“Sure”
“Thanks”
“So what exactly did you wanna see me for?”
“First is Rarity here”
“Yeah but she’s having a shower, so Celestia knows how long she’ll be”  
“Okay good, I’ve got some very important new for you, You know when you came to see me last about going back to earth for the first time and I found out you were a human, Well ever since then Princess Celestia, Doctor hooves and I have been working on a device that could send you back home, but the only catch is you can’t come back”
“Well that’s great news, but I understand why you don’t want Rarity to hear this” I say thinking should I be overwhelmed or sad, “If I tell her she’s going to be gutted”
“I know but it’s better to tell her first off before you drag the problem out long enough before it blows up in your face” comforts Twilight
“I know but she’s so happy now about the wedding and all”
“I know Shadow, there is still some time before the device is full complete and operational…So you have some time before you need to make a decision”
“Yeah thanks Twilight”
“Hey Shadow, who are you talking to?” yells Rarity from upstairs
“Im talking to Twilight” I yell back
“Hey Rarity…I was just going you two have fun know” says Twilight awkwardly before bolting out the store
“What was that about” asks Rarity
“Nothing to worry about now” I say, “we better get you to the doctor”
“Do we have to im feeling better now, I’m only feeling abit blotted that’s all”
“Come on Rarity I’ll fly you”
We begin to fly to doctor Hoofman’s clinic, we enter the clinic and are greeted by a cheery receptionist.
“Hello how my I help you today”
“I was wondering if it was allright if my girlfriend could see the doctor”
“Yeah sure, she will just need to fill this fo…Oh it’s you Rarity, I see you have finally found yourself a gentlecolt”
“Yeah I have and he’s amazing….Is it alright to see Dr.Hoofman to put my boyfriend’s paranoia to rest” giggles Rarity
“Sure the doctor will be with you in a minute”
We wait for roughly two minutes before the Doctor comes out for Rarity
“Lady Rarity” announces the Doctor
“Yes” 
“Will you come with me please?”
We follow the doctor into his office and I sit down in a chair next to Rarity facing Dr.Hoofman
“So Rarity what brings you here today?”
“Well my paranoid boyfriend wants you to check why I’ve been feeling sick a lot lately”
“Hmm how long have you been feeling sick now Rarity?” Asks Dr.Hoofman 
“Two or three days” replies Rarity
“Any other symptoms you have noticed” 
“I’ve been feeling really dizzy at work and I have a very sore back which could be from something else”
“How about we take a blood sample and see what is wrong with you”
The doctor pulls out a syringe from his utility belt and draws some blood from Rarity’s foreleg
“Alright this will take a couple of minutes to inform us about what’s going on with you”
We sit around at the doctor’s office in a awkward silence until the nurse comes in with the test results
“I have your test results here…and it says” Says Dr.Hoofman sounding like a contest judge, “Okay the test results say…Hmm…You probably not going to believe this, but let me be the first to congratulate you on your first foal because you are four days along in pregnancy
“OH MY GOD” I gasp
“Where having a foal” Yells Rarity 
“I can’t believe it” I say in shock
“Are you sure doctor” says Rarity trying to hold back the excitement and be lady like
“I am entirely sure we ran a couple of tests to make sure it was true information” smiles Dr.Hoofman
“Shadow can you believe it where going to be having a foal” says Rarity turning to me with a massive smile and still trying to cope with the shock
“I know I can’t believe it ether… where having a foal” I say jumping out of my chair in joy
“Where having a foal” says Rarity before giving a massive huge
“Well thank you so much Doctor” I say with a cheesy smile
“Don’t thank me…you guys did all the work, metaphorically speaking”
“Well without you doc, we would haven’t known for weeks”
“Well im glad to help, Well you kids better get going I have another patient waiting for me outside”
“Oh yeah Sure, Rarity lets go back home”
“Sure”
I help Rarity out of her chair and smile still surprised that im about to be a father
“Hey Rarity I’ll fly you back home to save you having to walk” I say with a grin
“Na I’ll be right Shadow, but thanks for the offer”
“No worries”
