Chapter 14: Plans

Twilight and Karn are talking to each other while Chrysalis is sobbing on the floor. I then look to Luna with conflicting emotions. "What shall we do? She does need to be punished for her attack on Canterlot," I ask her.

"We believe time in the dungeons will suffice until a new home can be found for her," Luna replies.

I look back to Chrysalis and sigh. "I agree. It will also allow us to protect them until they can relocate," I say.

With the amount of changelings I saw during their invasion, plus the creatures in that forest the technocyte must have a large swarm gathered now. I'm going to need more Tenno to fight this.

As much as I don't trust the guard to be loyal to the Tenno, I've got no choice. "Twilight. We're going to need more Tenno to destroy that hive. Do you know anyone else we can trust?" I ask her.

She hums in thought, "My brother might be a good choice. He's the Captain of the royal guard," she suggests.

"Have I met him yet?" I ask.

"Uh-huh, he's standing right behind the Princesses," she tells me.

I look behind the Princesses to see the white unicorn with the blue mane and tail glaring at Chrysalis, wait... He's her brother? "I get the feeling he doesn't like me," I tell Twilight with a sarcastic tone.

"He's just being protective of Equestria, you're a powerful alien with advanced technology. He's just worried you might turn on us," she replies.

"So, do you think he would leave his position as an Equestrian guard and follow the laws of the Tenno?" I ask her.

Twilight grins sheepishly. "Maybe?" she says.

I just sigh. "Just ask him then, see what he thinks about it," I tell her.

I'm glaring at Chrysalis, who is just quietly crying on the floor. "Shiny. Karn wants to know what you think about becoming a Tenno," I blink and look at Twily.

"Huh?" I just say confused.

"I said, Karn wants to know what you think about becoming a Tenno," I stare wide eyed at her and then at Karn. He just has his arms crossed while looking at me.

I look back to Twily. "I, errr. I'm not sure. It would mean I can protect Equestria better... but what's the catch?" I reply and ask.

They talk for awhile again while Chrysalis looks intrigued. Twily turns back to me. "It would mean you would fight to protect those that need protecting and follow the laws of the Tenno," she tells me.

I frown at that last part. "Would that mean I would have to forsake the Princesses orders?" I ask.

They talk again. "Yes, you would receive orders from their leader, Lotus. Or from the leader of the clan you are a part of, In this case, that would be Karn," she tells me.

I stare at Karn and after a short pause I ask. "And what are these laws?"

Luna gasps while Twily talks to Karn. "Captain. Thou can not possibly be considering this? If what she said is true, it would mean we have lost the Elements to him," she says.

Twily speaks before I could. "That's not true. We can still use the Elements to defend Equestria against any evil that would attack it," she says to Luna. "As for the laws. Law one, Tenno never attack a nation unprovoked. Law two, Tenno will defend a peaceful or allied nation from any hostile invaders. Like he did against the changelings," she says which Chrysalis snorts at with a frown.

"Law three. If any Tenno technology or knowledge is taken by anypony not a Tenno, you will take it back by force and eliminate the ones responsible... and law four, betray the Tenno... and your life is forfeit," she says seriously.

I look from Twily to Karn, then to the Princesses. I then look down in thought. If I become one of them, I can prevent another invasion on Equestria from happening, but I would also no longer take my orders from the Princesses.

"Captain," Celestia says, getting my attention. "If you wish to join them, then you may," she tells me. I just gape at her, as does Luna. She wants me to join them? B-But what about the guard? What about the threat of Gryphonia? And if I do join, I'll have to take orders from an alien of whom we know nothing about!

But Twily thinks I'd be a good choice to join them... What do I do?

I look at Twilight's brother with doubt in my mind, who looks like he's conflicted.

While I wait for his answer, I head over to the kubrow pod and check on the egg. So far its incubating perfectly. Seems like it only needs a day or two at least.

"Karn?" I hear Twilight say so I turn and look at her. "Shiny says he would like to think about it," she tells me. I look from her to 'Shiny' and he's frowning at me with uncertainty.

"Then tell him he has three days to decide, do you know anyone else who would be good?" I ask her.

She frowns for awhile, thinking. "I'm not really sure, maybe the Wonderbolts?" she suggests.

"The who?" I ask.

"The Wonderbolts, they're the best team of flyers in Equestria. They're also the main unit of the Equestrian air force," she replies.

"So basicly just elites of the guard then?" I ask with a raised eye brow.

"Errrr, I guess so," she says. That makes me frown, I really don't want to involve the guard, I just can't trust them yet.

"No, I can't trust the guard yet. I'm giving 'Shiny' a chance because he's your brother and you vouch for him... I'm just going to have to make due with who I've got for now. Just means I'll have to train you all harder then," I tell her.

"I guess so, but what about other ponies in Ponyville? Maybe they could help us?" Twilight suggests.

"Perhaps, so what's going to happen to her?" I reply and then point to chrysalis.

Twilight turns and talks to the others which got the bug's attention. After a few minutes Chrysalis's head droops as some guards try to enter my Orbiter. I growl and storm past the Princesses and push the guards out forcefully. No one enters my ship without my permission.

They trip over themselves and glare up at me. "Karn!? What are you doing?" Twilight asks me with wide eyes.

"No one comes on board without me saying so, I don't need some curious ponies poking and prodding things they don't understand," I tell her.

"Oh..." she says and tells the others that. Celestia nodded to me and talks to shining, he salutes and a bubble appears around Chrysalis who doesn't resist. He walks past me and out the Orbiter with Chrysalis floating behind him.

After watching them leave, I walk back to the Princesses and Twilight. "Please tell the princesses they can leave now. I have to get back to the Dojo and finish its construction quickly," I tell Twilight.

"Okay," she replies and tells the Princesses. They nodded to me and I guess saying goodbye to Twilight.

They then leave and the door closes behind them. "Ordis, take us back to the Dojo and get as many construction drones made as you can. We'll need to work overtime to get the Dojo made quickly," I tell him.

"Yes, Operator."

As we take off, I head over to the foundry and see Ordis begin fabricating the drones. I then turn to Twilight. "Once we land you're free to head home," I tell her.

"Okay, I need to make sure Spike has everything set up so he can run the Library without me," she replies.

After a few minutes we land at the plains and I head out with a few newly made drones, with more on the way.

Karn's work on the Dojo with the drones progressed nicely. The Tenno lab is completed and is ready for making more frames. He even started work on the duelling room. The extractors continued to bring back more materials from the forest for construction as well.

Rainbow Dash has been practising her stunts and tricks while waiting for Karn to finish his work, with her new physique she's faster, stronger, and doesn't get tired as quickly now. Once she finished her practise, she also went to collect her muffins from Sugarcube Corner when it was four in the afternoon.

After she ate her muffins, Rainbow Dash went back to her home for a nice afternoon nap.

Applejack and Big Mac have been keeping an eye on their new extractors. During the time they got them, they've cleared half of the northern orchard in just over five hours. It would have taken them a few days to clear it between the two of them.

Granny Smith woke up and almost had a heart attack at the sight of the siblings, but Applejack managed to calm her down and explain the situation.

Granny wasn't exactly happy about it but accepted the reasons why. Applebloom still tried to convince Applejack to let her and the other CMC join them as well... Applejack and Big Mac had none of it though.

Pinkie Pie went back to Sugarcube Corner and continued her work in the bakery. To say the Cakes were surprised is an understatement. Mrs Cake fainted upon seeing Pinkie, and Mr Cake had to look up to look her in the eyes. Despite the physical change, she was still her bubbly self and went back to baking cupcakes.

Fluttershy went back to her cottage and was greeted by Nightshade and Angel. Angel just gawked at her, if he had trouble looking her in the face before, now he had to lean back just to look her in the eyes. Fluttershy was now Nightshade's size.

She fed her animal friends and changed the bandages on an injured beaver. She then fed Nightshade a nicely cooked fish and Angel got a tossed salad with a cherry on top.

Angel's first meeting with Nightshade was not the best first impression. Angel threw a small cup he was drinking from at Nightshade when he walked through the door, but Nightshade just took it in stride as the cup bounced off his chest. He just stared at the bunny before curling up on Fluttershy's couch.

After all the animals were fed, Fluttershy headed to the forest's edge to check on Harry, a bear who lives near the tree line with Nightshade tagging along to protect her. She arrived to find Harry nowhere to be seen so she called out to him, but got no reply. She just hoped he was okay.

She returned to her cottage and tended to her garden.

Rarity returned to her boutique and went back to a dress she was making for the next Grand Galloping Gala that was coming up in the next three months... until she realised it would no longer fit her. She screamed at the horror of it all and had a dramatic wail.

Sweetie Belle came home earlier and was in her room colouring in a picture book when she heard her sister's whining. She went down stairs to see why Rarity was whining, but was stunned when she saw her new size.

They talked for awhile as Rarity explained why she looked different. Sweetie wanted to join just so she could look like Rarity as well, but Rarity denied her. Sweetie awww'd and went back to her room.

Rarity went back to her sewing room and retook her measurements. Once done she began work on a new dress.

Twilight left the Orbiter and went home to begin preparing Spike to look after the Library for when she goes to train with Karn.

After the long hours of preparation, Spike cooks dinner and after that went for a nap while Twilight was fiddling with the datapad Karn gave her now that she could read Orokin, but she discovered it only contained a program to teach Orokin. Still, she glossed through it just to find out what the datapad could do before going back to her studying.

As the day draws to a close, the ponies settle in for the night while Karn continues to work on the Dojo.

In a dark candle lit stone castle, in the capital of the Gryphonia Kingdom, sat a large scarred black furred, grey feathered male gryphon with chain-mail armour, a manticore pelt cape on his back, and an iron crown on his head. His beak is also slightly chipped on the left side.

"So... how did the Equestrians react to our little... surprise?" the scarred gryphon asks.

"Oh, they were livid, especially their Captain of the Guard. Our spy says the Captain's outrage could be heard a mile away, hehehe," replies a dark brown gryphon with dirty white feathers.

The black gryphon then grins cruelly. "Good. How goes the training of the army? How long till it can march?" he asks.

"Not much longer my King, four months maybe... but there's a problem," the brown gryphon replies.

"Oh? And what problem is that?" the King asks with an un-amused tone.

"Some strange tall black and red creature fell from the sky in some strange metal vessel. It slaughtered the changelings invading Canterlot and chased off their Queen all by itself. Our spies reported it being resistant to even pony magic," the brown gryphon says seriously.

"Ah yes, the strange two legged monster," the king says while scratching his neck. "It matters not. It will fall to our might just as Equestria shall... but just in case keep an eye on it, I don't want any complications," the King tells the brown gryphon.

"Yes, my King. Shall I send our best spy?" he asks.

"Hmmmmm. Yes, and tell him not to get too close," the king replies.

The brown gryphon bows to the black gryphon and heads out the room. The King leans back on his throne with a cruel smile on his face. "Soon, Equestria shall fall to the might of the gryphons, and once they do, the rest of the world will follow," he says while leaning back into his throne grinning viciously.

A tan female gryphon with white feathers with purple tips and markings around her eyes stares wide eyed at the King through a gap in a side door. She slowly slips away and heads for the Castle roof.

She opens a set of doors to a balcony and takes off towards Equestria, unaware of a cloaked gryphon following behind her.
