I sat in a dark room, then a door appeared and opened. Luna walked in and said, “What was this nightmare about?”
I walked up to her and said as I hugged her, “Being in the cell blindfolded.” I don’t know why I’m friendly to Luna, but not as much to Celestia.
She nodded and said, “Do you think it’s because of your ability that you’re dreaming of being blindfolded.”
I let go of her and said, “Maybe that’s the reason. It’s been awhile since I last saw ya. How’s everything going with ya?”
She shrugged her shoulders and said, “The usual.”
I was about to answer, then I got this weird feeling, I turned around to see a darker and lighter version behind me. The lighter version had a chain around its neck and it was being dragged by the dark version. He looked at me and said, “Ah, the middle one’s here, been awhile. How are you, spy?”
The lighter one looked up and, “Hello, Eric and Luna.”
Luna and I looked at each other, then I said, “Guess this is tonight’s dream. I always wonder about them, and is it me or do they remind you of Discord and Fluttershy, apart from the leash thing.” Luna was speechless at what was going on, she just nodded and disappeared. I opened my eyes and sat up. I quietly thanked Luna for getting me out of that nightmare, I never been able to get out of nightmares, it like I’m chained up and being tortured with these nightmares. I rolled over and went back to bed
The next morning, I got up and got in the shower, and got ready for my day off. I ate a light breakfast and walked out the door. As I was walking, I saw Twilight at the market. I walked up and said, “Hey, Twilight.”
She turned to me and said, “Oh hi Eric, Have you gotten a hold on your ability yet and how have you been?”
I shrugged and said, “I’m doing fine, and I don’t know. Haven’t looked ponies in the eye in a while.”
Twilight nodded and said, “How about we meet for lunch, I’m going to meet Fluttershy for lunch, but I don’t think she’ll mind if you join us.”
I nodded and said, “I can’t make any promises, but I’ll see if I make it or not.” We said our goodbye and I headed to a different part of ponyville.
As I was walking, I felt something grab me and pulled me into a nearby alley, then I was slammed into a wall. Standing in front of me was Chrysalis, I think it was Chrysalis, I just heard about her from the mane 6 and the princesses. I started to scream but felt a leg with holes in it on my mouth. She stared at me and said, “Master, do you remember me and your army?”
My eyes widened with fear and when she removed her leg, I said, “Please don’t kill me, I don’t know you, you must've got the wrong pony.”
Chrysalis was taken back by the comment and said, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to kill you, master. My name is Chrysalis, and I am your lieutenant. I was sent by you five months ago to tell you a word that will make it all clear, robots, and your letter is in a book of hypnosis in Twilight’s library.” Then she took off. I stood there for what seemed like an hour then I collapsed on my but and sighed that I’m alive. I got up and headed to the hayburger to get some food after this scary encounter.
I got there to be lead to a table with Fluttershy and Twilight already there. Twilight saw my expression and said, “Eric, what’s wrong?”
I was about to say something, then our food came, Twilight said right before she took a bite, “Hope you don’t mind that I ordered for you if you showed up.”
I shook my head and said, “I don’t mind and I just had a scary run in with Chrysalis.” I took a bite, then looked up to see Fluttershy and Twilight’s expression.
After a few minutes of silence, Twilight broke the silence and said, “Why, how, what was she doing here?”
I shrugged and said, “She called me master, said her name, that she's my lieutenant, and gave me a random word that I don’t even know what it means. I think it was robot or something. I looked up to see Twilight’s and Fluttershy’s mouth open I picked up my burger and said before I took a bite, “Close both of your mouths, nothing happened after that.” I turned to a waiter and said, “Could I get a drink? When the waiter placed the drink on the table, Fluttershy and Twilight jumped. I turned to them and said, “Is it okay if I go through all your books on hypnosis, to see if Chrysalis was telling the truth about me sending a message five months ago?”
Twilight finished her burger and said, “Sure, it will be interesting to see if Chrysalis lost her mind after trying to kill me.” She got up and ask Fluttershy if she wanted to come.
Fluttershy looked down and said, “I need to back to my animals.”
As we separated, I rubbed Fluttershy’s head and followed Twilight back to her castle. After looking through the books, I found a letter. My heart almost jumped out of my throat when I saw the date. I was five months ago, just like Chrysalis said.
It read, “This might come as a shock to you, but this isn’t a fake. If ya got this that means that ya lost, or was betrayed, and had your memory erased. I placed a failsafe in the ponies closest to us, then erased their memory. I had to erase our memory so that Celestia or whoever is in control now, wouldn’t find out when torturing ya. I’m guessing Twilight is there with you, and you probably have our ability. Tell her robot and then give her a command. I added our notes and a list of everypony that has the failsafe in them. The fate of our era is in your hands now. Eric Lumber.”
