The little purple pony stuck her tongue out as she colored inside the lines of the little filly on the picture.Her ears back in focus, her tail resting on next to her hoof.She hummed in rhythm a tune she liked, but tried not to break focus on the pretty coloring..
"You're looking so pretty little Mimi.." She giggles as she held the crayon away from the paper in her teeth.She moved her head to the beat in her head as she trotted to the crayons, she bended her head down looking through the colors, her eyebrows furrowed,
"Where's the dark pink..?" She trails off searching all over the crayons, She sighs, "Where is the dark pink crayon!?" She says irritated. She pulls her head up frowning, she huffs and her ears lowered.Suddenly an exclaim made her ear fly up,
"Hey watch out!" They exclaimed, Twilight looked around confused, she then looked forward to see a cyan colored pony dashing her way out of control, She gasped, "Ahhh!" The blue pony screamed.
CRASH!!
Right into the the creating area they crashed, the table tossed on it's side, papers flying everywhere includng paint and crafts, other fillies screamed and ran away right before the crash came.
The two ponies were on the ground, purple on her stomach, blue on her back, both covered in feathers and paint, they both groaned in unision, equal pain."Owww.."
The purple filly pulled her head up and set it on the floor by her chin squeezing an eye closed.The blue filly groaned, her eyes soon widened when she realized she was on the other,she jumped off,scooting back.
"Oh gosh!" She exclaims, she suddenly smiled and chuckled her squeaky laugh, "Sorry." She says as she rubs her head in the back. She looked around and picked up a crayon with her teeth, "Hey, the dark pink crayon!" She giggles nervously.
The purple pony shakily gets up, she slowly eyes her mane,"Oh no!" She exclaims and looks around, she suddenly sees her picture laying on the floor, she quickly trots to it and picks it up with her teeth and hugged it close, her ears lowered, she,looks at it and smiles. Her ears flicked, she growled and turned around, "How dare you!?" She safely sets the picture down and ran to the cyan growling, the other leaned her head back quickly, her ears flying back, "How can you just come here and just crash into me ruining my coloring!?" She exclaims at the pony,
"I..I didn't mean to.." The other says softly.
"You're such a clutz! What are you someone who crashes all the time!?" Her voice squeaky which makes it hard for her to seem angry, but her expression did show it,"Crashy!" She snarled, but her anger dissapears to the other's hurt look.
"..I'm..I'm sorry.." She looks down her wings closing tightly, her ears flopping down."It was an accident, I promise.." She explains.The violet pony blinks and frowns to see what she's done."Please don't yell at me.."
"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry!" The gulilth pony exclaims jumping in front of the sad one.The cyan was about to look up, the purple hugged her close.The blue pony's eyes widened, the other filly let go and put her hooves on the floor, "I didn't mean to yell at you.!" She says low, "I don't mean to be mean.." The cyan pony just nods whipping her face.
"Its okay, I'm sorry for ruining your coloring.." The rainbow maned muttered, The purple filly shook her head
"Its okay!" She smiles, "I can always do a new one." She shrugs, the blue pony looks at her and her ears lowered as she smiled.
"Okay." She replies smiling, she sees the other sit in front of her and take the feather out of her ear,the cyan smiles,the violet smiles back, there was a sudden gasp,they looked up to see the teacher shocked, she looks to them and glares at the purple pony then points to the area, the filly frowns.
"Well um, sorry for yelling at you.." She says hanging her head low, "Your friends need you.." She starts walking back to the area, she started to pick up everything, the cyan looked back at the other pegasi waving at her,
"Rainbow come on!" They exclaim laughing, the rainbow maned growled and her ears lowered,she looks to the purple pony, she eyes her friends, she looked and stuck her tongue out blowing a raspberry to them, she flew and went to help the other filly.
The purple pony struggled to get the table flipped back up, she groans, she pushes again. Her magic is too weak for this big table. She pants and pushes again, suddenly she feels it lif over, she looks over to see the blue pegasus filly flying, she lands on the floor and smiles at her.
"You didn't have to.." The purple filly says low, the cyan scoffed.
"Of course I did! I can't let you take the blame for something I did, its my fault too, so I want to help you out. No isn't in my vocabulary so don't even say it!" She smiles cheekily. The purple pony stares at her and she smiles slowly.
"Okay." She nods, the pegasus flaps her wings fast smiling big.They went and started to clean up the place they've crashed into.
15 Minutes Later
The two fillies finished cleaning, they also got the paint from their coats and hair, the purple pony is brushing the others hair, it seemed to not get out if it frizzled state so she just left it like that, she set the brush down and looked at her hair,
"Your hair won't stay down." She stomped a hoof pouty, the other one laughs.
"Sorry, but that's just my mane, its a spiky mess but I like it like that." She shrugs, the other nods.
"..Well I guess it's unique." She smiles,
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," the purple one says fixing a book in the shelf, it suddenly hit her, "Hey!" She looks back at the cyan pony, " I never even got your name.!" The other makes an 'o' with her mouth.
"Oh! How stupid of me," She laughs, she flies and dashses from side to another, she stops in front of the purple filly,"I'm Rainbow Dash! The fastest and greatest flyer in all of this classroom!" She says extremely confident.
"Yeah right! Make sure you proof yourself Crash!" Some brown colt says laughing hoof bumping another, Rainbow growls.
"Don't worry! I will! You'll see, I could take you on any day!" She points to him, the purple filly giggles as the other lands on the floor in front of her, the blue pony looks at her.
"So? What's your name?" She asks, her wings closing,
"I'm Twilight. I'm like books and magic!" The purple pony uses her magic to raise a crayon,it sound and she lands it behind Rainbow's ear, making the other giggle her squeaky laugh.
"That's cool.!" She says, Twilight hangs her head high,smiling.
"..So.. Um.." Rainbow looks as Twilight talks,"When I..When I called you crashy.." Rainbow's ear moved back a slight,"I saw how hurt I made you.." Twilight mutters,"And they called you Crash..was..is that why?" She looks up at the pony.
"..Yeah..some call me Rainbow Crash a lot.." She frowns,her ears lowering,"I didn't know much about flying so I used to crash a lot and I get out of control..so some called me that." She sighs,she sits and her tail wraps around.Twilight frowns to the other pony, the rainbow maned suddenly feels a hand to her shoulder,
"I'm sorry for calling you that, I didn't mean to..and don't pay attention to meanies like them, you seem to have flying down on the spot!" She nods, Rainbow smiled a bit and her wings open and close.
"Thanks.." She says low,
"You're gonna be be a great flyer, if that's what you want and you're gonna show those downers." Twilight encourages,"I know it!" Rainbow smiles softly
"You really think so?" She looks at her, the purple pony nods, she smiles bigger."Thank you, Twilight."
"You're welcome Rainbow!" The purple filly giggles, Rainbow rubs her arm and looks at her.
"Hey Twilight.?" The purple one looks at her,"..Are we um..are we friends?" She asked her head tilted to the side,"Or..can..can we be friends?" she asks a smile growing up her face. Twilight smiled big
"Of course we can!" She exclaims hugging her and pulling away, Rainbow inhales.
"Really?!" Her wings flying open flapping fast as she smiles big,Twilight giggles and nods.
"Yeah." She replies, the cyan pony smiles big cheesily.
"YAY!" She dashes from spot to spot and then around Twilight in circles, the purple pony can only see a blur of rainbow.The rainbow maned finally stops, she hovers, "Thanks Twilight!" She exclaims, Twilight just nods.
"Not really the biggest deal,Rainbow." She says smiling a bit confused, Rainbow sighs.
"Yes it is! You're my first friend that doesn't expect me do things for or to impress them!" She exclaims,"You're nice and they're not,you're real and they're fake fake fake fake fake!" The cyan huffs through her nostrils, the purple pony slowly nods. "Were going to be the best friends EVER!" Her squeaky voice breaking which was adorable to Twilight.
"I bet we are." Twilight smiled shaking her head, Rainbow nodded a big toothy grin playing across both her cheeks.
"Yeah we are! I know it!" The cyan points a her new friend."And the one reason, or one of the reasons I say that is because I'm in this friendship.I'm pretty awesome." She runs her hair back but it comes back forward in its frizzled state.Twilight giggles, she joins along.
"Of course." Twilight smiles cheekily as Rainbow goes on and on about how their friendship is going to be great.
"This friendship is going to last a lifetime! I know it! Its the rainbow knowing! I kinda made that up," She winks to the purple filly making her chuckle.
"Well I heard rainbow, so I kinda figured." She says moving her hoof.Rainbow smiled.
"Yeah its what I told my parents about! They thought it was prettty silly, but I was a serious pony!" She stomps a hoof." The rainbow knowing is a serious thing you shouldn't take lightly, its really sp-" Twilight put a hoof up.
"Rainbow..you're rambling."
"..Right." The blue pony's ears lowered and she got back on topic with pink cheeks."As I said..we're going to be friends of the best of the best for lathe longed time. I'll make sure of it!, even when we make and meet new friends and other ponies.." Rainbow sat next to Twilight waiting for her to finish her sentence.
Twilight stared at the cyan's big gleaming eyes, "...We, will always be each other's number one." She tapped at Rainbow's nose, Rainbow laughs squeaky and nuzzled the purple once before pulling back smiling at her.
"Very well said, Twiley." She laughs lightly, Twilight smiled and shrugged."Hey! We should have a saying every time we promise!" She gasps.
"Oh god, Rainbow.." She looks pouty, Rainbow still smiled." Okay.."
"Alright! Let's see.." She sat in front of Twilight tapping at her chin."..Ooh! How about this!" She starts, "I-"
"I got one!" Twilight exclaims, Rainbow blinks and then smiles."If you don't mind."
"Sure!"
"Um.." Twilight leans forward and whispers in her ear, Rainbow listens intently and soon smiles big and leans back nodding.
"Perfect!"
They adjusted and they look to one another, before they began:
"I promise."
"Our promise?"
They then started, "Yes I promise these words I say.With your trust I never play.You and I,friends as one.Our future stay as bright as the sun.We be by each others side forever, always fun.They day we part, the breath we have will be our final one." They stop by crossing their hearts.
Rainbow squeals, "PERFECT!" She hugs Twilight close, Twilight hugs back smiling.
"Thanks." She giggles and ruffles Rainbow's hair.Rainbow let's go.
"So?" Twilight hums, "Friends forever right?"
"Forever."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"..Our promise?" Rainbow grins big, Twilight huffs as a smile hangs at her lips, she nods.
"Fineeee." She says huffy.
"Yay!" They prepared for their once again promise speech.

Rainbow smiled as she returned to that memory as she watches Twilight fixing a book shelf that fell.She fixed it all on her own since she's all strong and taller now.Rainbow flicks an ear as she returned her gaze to the book she was reading offered by the purple pony.
"Spike! There's a book missing!" The mare panics dramatically, Spike grumbles rolling his eyes.
"You gave it to Rainbow." He replies passing by, Twilight turned her gaze to the giggling cyan pony as she keeps reading her book.
"Yeah, Twilight. Rainbow has it." Rainbow grins up to her flipping a page.Twilight smiles after a breath of relief.
"Oh good." She flaps her wings lowering herself to the floor, she walked to her friend."Why didn't you say anything?"
"Its fun to see you so pressurized and worried like a crazy filly." Rainbow smiles and lowers her chin to the floor trying to look innocent with her big gleamy eye look up to the glaring mare.Twilight couldn't give so she groans in defeat and smiles.
"I hate when you do that." She murmurs. Rainbow laughs lightly and sits up straight still on all fours laying on her stomach."..Hey, I thought I gave you "The Attack of Returning Mummy?" She looks down at the book Rainbow read through.
"I finished that one! I went and got this one." She looks pouty.Twilight slowly nods and chuckles.
"Okay.Well just put it back when you're done.The map might be ringin' " She jokes and starts to trot away, Rainbow growls and grabs a hold of her tail by her teeth.Twilight squeaks and stops before looking back at the blue mare before whipping her tail from her mouth.
"No! Come read with me!" The cyan stomps a hoof by the book, Twilight stares.
"Rainbow. Just finish your book.don't you have wonderbolt stuff to do? Don't hold yourself back." She motions a hoof to her words.Rainbow huffs.
"They can live without me! Now is my best friend time. Come on! Read with Dashie." She smiles scooting over.Twilight soon sighs and smiles before walking over and dropping laying on her stomach adjusting next to her friend.
"Wing please?" Rainbow grins as they look down at the book, Twilight laughs lightly remembering how this mare loves it when she has a wing on her when they read.Twilight opens a wing and lays it over the cyan pony.Rainbow adjusts, her shoulder touching Twilight's. They lean down looking at the book humming to themselves.
20 Minutes..
"No! Daring he's there too!" Rainbow exclaims, a wing flying open, making sure the other one doesn't hit Twilight. The purple pony giggles to the mare's overreacting senses.She nuzzles Rainbow to cool her down, Rainbow lowers her ears and looks at the book again.
"Geez, Dash I didn't know you cared so much just by a book." She laughs lightly.Rainbow shrugs.
"She's my hero." She says putting her cheek to her hoof.Twilight hums raising an eyebrow before growing a grin.
"Wow Rainbow, when're you gonna tell her you love her?" She jokes.Rainbow laughs lightly and nudges her, Twilight laughs.
"Cute.But I'm not into Daring Do like that." She shakes her head.the purple mare nods, "I may have someone else in mind." She says as a pink shade dares to fill her cheeks.Twilight instantly gets interested,
"Tell.Me!" She smiles big, teeth showing.Rainbow shakes her head, "Rainbow! Were best friends! That's not faiiirr, I told you I liked Flash! Now its your turrnnn!" She looks pouty.Rainbow's blush vanished and she frowns.
That why.. Rainbow thought in her head before she looks sadly at the book.But smiled at her friend."I'm not sure I like them yet, I'll tell you when I'm sure." She smiles her way from a lie.Twilight looks pouty but she smiles and nods anyway.
"Okayyy." She chuckles, "I'm getting in your business.Bad Twilight." She laughs."Sorry."
"Its cool."
"So back to the booook?" She looks at Rainbow.the cyan looks at her back and smiles back nodding.
"Yeah I guesss." She likes out a lip.Twilight chuckles and pokes her nose.Rainbow laughs and looks st her poking her back.
"You dork." Twilight giggles, Rainbow hums.
"You're the dork.Maybe its rubbing of on me." She grins blowing a raspberry, they laugh as Twilight scoots her closer by her wing.She nips at Rainbow's nose making the other laugh more as they joke around.
"I hate you." Rainbow grins.Twilight scoffs.
"No.You 'Love' me." She grins back.Rainbow slowly smiles genuine and stares at Twilight, focusing on her eyes closely.Twilight smiles back slowly.Rainbow's ears lower as she blinks.
"Tw-" The library door suddenly opened. Twilight looked over, Rainbow snapped out of her trance and blinked.
"Twilight! Ah have to talk to you!" Applejack's voice rang out.Rainbow's eyes widened and she instantly shook from under the comfortable wing and stood up backing away from the other mare fast.
Twilight stared at her but looked to the orange pony approaching them."Hey AJ.?"
"Twi! I have a huge problem dealing with the caterin' at the farm for the gathering of the relatives again!" She groans in frustration.Twilight slowly nods.She suddenly sees Rainbow standing awkwardly.."Rainbow what are you doin' here?"
"Oh me and Rainbow were just-" Rainbow cut Twilight off.
"I was just uh picking up a book for my wing training! Heh." She dashed to a section.She grabbed a book and read through it."Yup! All done! Thanks Twilight!" She laughs nervously."Wow look at the time, I should go.Wonderbolt business and such!?" She exclaims. Applejack and Twilight look at one another."Yeah Twi seems really busy heh, yeah sorry.Gotta gooo, KAY BYE!" She dashed out, only a blur of rainbow trailed after her.
"...What was that about?" Applejack looks to the purple confused pony who closed the book with her magic getting up as she walks around the shelves.
"I have no idea." She shrugs.
