Chapter 11: Baby Cakes
It’s been a little under a month since Rainbow and I started dating and quite a bit has happened. Well there is now a decent size list of ponies who know the truth. Spike has been informed and he almost freaked out and sent a letter to Princess Celestia, like that would have done anything anyways. I’ve also been informed that Princess Luna is well aware of the situation as well. Also, the Cutie Mark Crusaders found out while trying to get there cutie marks in spying. Luckily they saw it as cool and agreed to not tell anypony else.
Anyways, during this time I’ve been working on my magic. I first worked on perfecting teleportation. It may have taken quite a while, but I was able to teleport whenever I wanted without getting a headache and/or winded.
Then, Rainbow remembered the cloud waking spell that Twilight apparently cased during the Best Young Flyer Competition last year and suggested that I should try it so we can hang out more, but I’m wondering if she has other intentions.
As I was saying I practiced constantly and finally after much trail and error, and by that I mean falling through clouds and face planing in the dirt, I was successful. I was already happy, but what happened next made everything even better.

“Yes! It worked! It finally worked!” I shouted joyfully before Rainbow tackled me down to the cloud giving me kisses on my face and neck. Which is a little strange for her because she doesn’t really get lovey-dovey in public, but I’m not complaining.
Twilight then came up from a distance.
“Well I see that you succeeded.” Twi then looked at Rainbow. “So have you asked him yet?”
“Ask me what?” I said a little confused.
Rainbow then got off me, sat down and tapped her hooves together. “Do you remember a few months back when you didn’t have a place to stay and I said that I would let you stay with me if it wasn’t for the fact that you’re not a pegasus? I mean I know you’re not still not one, and I don’t have any problem that you’re not. Anyways since you can now both teleport and walk on clouds, I was wondering if you would like to...move in...with me?” She was seriously blushing at that point and dammit she looked so cute right then and there.
I gave her a quick kiss and looked directly into her eyes. “Of course I would.”
I was back at the library packing my things into my saddlebags. Which is just my moneybag and some old books Twi said I could have. I have just brought the guest bed back into the basement. I started to speak to Twilight and Spike.
“Guys I really can’t thank you enough for letting me stay here for the past few months. You let me in when I had no home and you treated me like family, instead of just somepony you were renting a room out to.” I wrapped my arms around them in a hug, which they returned. “It really meant a lot to me.”
After we let go of the group hug Twi spoke up. “You know you can still work here at the library if you want.”
“Really? Thanks Twi.”
“No problem and you’ll actually be getting paid now.”
“I don’t get paid.” Spike mumbled.
Twi ignored him.
I levitated my saddlebags on my back and began to walk out.
“Just remember to cast that spell every three days or so, or you’ll fall through the floor.” Twi called.
“Of course.” I responded.
“If you have any dreams you want to talk about I’ll still be your therapist.”
“I kinda figured that.”
“Don’t forget to...”
“Twilight, I said that you treated me like family, but I never said you can act like you’re my mom or something.”
Twi got a small blush on her face while Spike just started laughing.

I got to Rainbow’s house and I found her in the kitchen, where it seemed that she was making lunch. I didn’t think she noticed me till I spoke up. “Hey there.”
Rainbow turned around and flew up to me giving a kiss on the cheek.
“I’m so glad you agreed to move in. This is so awesome!” She made this adorable face when she said those last two words.
“Yes, I can see just how excited you are.” I said pointing at her extended wings.
She then quickly closed them and gave me a playful hit on my arm.
“You’re lucky that I love you.”
I just laughed and the responded with “I know.”
We sat down to eat the lunch Rainbow made, which were HBLTs. I decided that this was a good time to give Rainbow a little surprise I had for her.
“Hey Rainbow, remember when I convinced you to spend the afternoon at the spa with Rarity and Fluttershy last week?”
“Yeah they almost made me get a hooficure, so don’t remind me.”
“Did you wonder why I asked you to join them?”
“To torture me?”
“No, I needed to have you occupied so I can get these.”
I levitated two tickets out of my saddlebag. They were for a Wonderbolts air show next week. When Rainbow saw what they were she let out a fanfilly squeal and hugged me while giving me a string of thank yous.

“Come on Seth! We need to get to Cloudsdale!”
“Relax Rainbow the air show doesn’t begin for another three hours.”
“Yeah but, I want to show you my hometown.” She gave me adorable puppy dog eyes.
“Okay” I said levitating my saddlebag on. “I’ll race you!”
I then teleported outside to a nearby cloud. Rainbow popped out of the house and flew up to me.
“How the hay is teleportation fair?”
“It’s fair because I can’t fly and no way am I asking Twilight to give me some flamboyant butterfly wings.”
Rainbow gave a loud laugh after obviously picturing it.
“Besides if I wasn’t being fair I would of teleported right to Cloudsdale. Yet, long distances do still give me headaches though.”
She gave me a small nudge and flew off.
So we got to Cloudsdale with Rainbow winning our little race.
“Aww Yeah! Not even your magic can keep up with me!”
“It *breath* wouldn’t have *breath* been as fun *breath* for you if *breath* I didn’t *breath* hold back.”
“You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. *breath* Just a little *breath* tired from *breath* all the *breath* teleporting.”
We went around town. She showed me many of the shops and gave me a tour of the weather factory. While there she told me while she was clearing the clouds earlier today The Cakes asked her to babysit for them. I must say how two earth ponies produce a pegasus and a unicorn is beyond me, but I’m not going to make any assumptions of Mrs. Cake.
We got to the stadium and sat down in our seats. Rainbow seemed to extremely excited.
Then the Wonderbolts flew out. While they were preforming Rainbow explained to me who each one of them were and the names of their tricks. Before I knew it the show was over. It’s really amazing how fast time can go by sometimes.
“Well I must say, they may not be able to stop a dragon, but they are talented fliers. I can see why you want to join them.”
“Well they are the Wonderbolts. They’re the best of the best.”
“Yet, I didn’t see them do anything like the Sonic Rainboom, so I can’t see why your not one already.”
“Hey didn’t you say something like that on the day we first met?”
“Yeah I think I did say something similar. I bet back then you didn’t think that in a few months you’d be dating the homeless guy you found sleeping in the Apple Family’s field.”
“Not at all.”
We both laughed and started to make our way back to our home. Huh, it is both our home now isn’t it? You know I really like the sound of that. Our home.
