Brothers are forgiving and loving right? These brothers used to be just that. They were happy, and loving to each other. They looked like their parents, the oldest, Blue shield, and the youngest, red shield, had everything. They loved the princesses, but Red shield saw how the night princess was sad and sorrow filled. He often showed up at the castle to speak to her and give her love. He wouldn't tell, but he loved her. 

Blue Shield, had a job as a guard for the day princess and he saw how his brother's job was to protect the night princess. He tried to reassure him, but he wouldn't listen. Blue shield had blue eyes and green fur. His brother had red eyes and gray fur. He wanted to make sure that his brother was fine, and every time he saw him, he was talking with the night princess. 

Once Blue Shield had saw his brother taking the night princess out for a walk, and he stayed quiet about it. The day princess made sure that nothing was going on between the two, Blue Shield saw how hurt his brother was. And he had to stay loyal to the day princess.  He had to speak to his brother, and he was going to do that now.

"Red Shield....are you okay?" Blue Shield asked with worry in his voice.

"No Blue Shield. I'm not. And that's all thanks to you!" Red Shield shouted.

"What? Red Shield, I didn't do anything!"

"Sure you didn't. How did Princess Celestia know then?"

"I don't know! But, I do know that-"

"No, there's no point. I hate you, and you being a brother to me!"

"What?! Red Shield! Please listen!"

"NO! THERE'S NO POINT LISTENING TO YOU!"

His brother's shout made his ears hurt badly.  Red Shield was mad and he was the cause of it. He knew better than to speak to loudly to his younger brother, and he ignored that.  He knew that his brother hated to be reasoned with, so it was no point. 

Walking away, Red Shield looked at the picture of Luna. He had gotten it when they were out one day. He hated not being close to the one he loved the most. And he was going to make sure that he never had to leave her side again. He thought that today couldn't get any worst, until he was told that Princess Celestia wanted to see him. This couldn't be good.

Finding himself alone with the day princess was the most serious thing he ever done. He knew that the day princess could get seriously mad. And not one pony should be around at that time. He saw anger and seriousness in the eyes of the ruler of day. He bowed. 

"Red Shield," Princess Celestia began with a serious tone," Is it true that you had a relationship with my sister and still do?"

"....Yes I once did. But YOU made her break up with me." 

"I did nothing of the sort."

"Sure you did. Anyway, what's this about?"

"Your duties as a guard. Are you still doing them?"

"Yes...."

"I want you to go get Twilight and her friends."

"Alright Princess."




Twilight was relaxing with her friends, when Pinkie Pie jumped into a song. Twilight heard Rainbow Dash sigh and hit Pinkie to shut her up. After Pinkie calmed down, she began to talk really loud and fast. Twilight saw how Rainbow couldn't stand it, and cut Pinkie off.

"Calm down Pinkie and talk slow." Rainbow said.

"Sorry! Anyway, I was saying that a guard is coming to pick us up and bring us to the castle." Pinkie said.

Twilight had been to the castle many times and why would this time be different? Well the guard picking them up could be different, and it really was. When Rarity saw the guard, she freaked. It was a lunar guard. When he said that Princess Celestia wanted to see them, they left without him. 

'Oh great.' Red shield thought.




"Son of a...." Red Shield started to say, but he stopped himself. 

"Brother...." 

"Buck off Blue Shield."

"No, I want to help you."

"With what?"

"With you and Luna....."

"There's nothing to be helped with."

"Red shield-"

 " I MOTHER BUCKING SAID BUCK OFF!"

There was something that rang in the voice of Red Shield, something filled with hate. A monster of some sort.  And Blue Shield just wanted to help his brother, but looks like he couldn't. Not without knowing what was on his brother's mind. 

 ' Brother, why can't you just let me help you? ' Blue Shield thought to himself.





In the throne room was Celestia talking with the elements of harmony. And what she just said shocked them to their fullest. That lunar guard loved Princess Luna, why and how? What made him fall in love with her, Princess Cadence didn't come by. She only came by on holidays and stuff, she wouldn't make a guard suddenly fall in love with Luna.

"But how Princess Celestia? How could he fall in love with Luna?" Twilight asked.

"I don't know Twilight. But I have a feeling he's bad news." 

"We'll make sure he won't harm her." Rainbow said.

" Ya'll being silly," AppleJack started, thinking how silly this was, "How can one simple guard be trouble?"

"Many reason AJ, but I think she's right." Rarity finished.

"Oh, but what if he does harm her?" Fluttershy asked.

Not one could answer, but then a voice came in. It was Luna, who had a shocked face on. Mostly she'd been crying, or have been mad. But her face was seriously red.

"He won't harm us."

"Luna," Celestia started," I'm taking any chances. I don't want to lose you!"

"You won't sister."

Or at least that's what she thought. Not knowing of the plan Red Shield had started planning. The plan had something to do with killing off that each one treasured most. He was going to do that to prove that he was the right one for Luna and he didn't care what it took.  Even if it meant killing Luna herself.
