This is the story of my years growing up, from the death of two tenkais, a once powerful team, now scattered to the winds, my name is Flint Locke melody, my mother is one of the leaders of the resistance, her name is Octavia melody, and this… is my story.
A glimpse into the future
"There you are." a young girl said, running up to Flint. " Mom said to come look for you."
"What does mom want Ellaway?" Flint said looking at his younger sister.
"She wants you to come and help get the table ready for dinner." Ellaway said smiling. "Then it's time for you to get going."
"Oh right." Flint said sighing. "We leave to help fight today."
"Your lucky." Ella said crossing her arms as her older brother got up. "Your seventeen and you get to go fight in the war, and I'm only Twelve and I have to go stay with Gold Dust and Twilight Sparkle."
"Their not that bad." Flint said as they started walking home." I find them quite fun to be around sometimes."
"Yeah, sometimes." Ella said with a groan. "I just wish I could go with you guys."
"The battle field is no place for a child." Flint said facepalming. "Mom told you about this so many times."
"But Dad was six when he began training to become a fighter." Ellaway said with a huff. "I wish I met him, you and Mom don’t ever talk about him."
"Because he left without saying a word and died fighting an enemy that couldn't be stopped." Flint said in anger. "For all I know, war is pointless."
"How can you say that." Ellaway said, shocked. "Our dad was the only one who crippled the eights, and then gave people time escape before the bomb went off."
"But still he was a coward." Flint said. "If he had the time to let those people get out he would've had time too, that way he would be here and we wouldn't be so miserable."
"You don't know how he died, all we know is he died saving lives." Ella said, trying to convince her brother. "Mom said if he had a choice he would've stayed here."
"He always had a choice." Flint said as they approached their home. "He just choice do thing over his own family."
"He had a reason." Ella said as she opened the door. "Mom we're home."
"I'm in the kitchen." Octavia said from the kitchen. "Can you guys set the table, we're going to have guest."
"Sure thing." Flint said as they went and grabbed some plates. "Who's coming over?"
"Gold Dust and Twilight remember?" Octavia said as Flint and Ella finished setting the table. "We need to talk about a few things before we leave."
"Oh right." Flint said entering the kitchen. "So when are we leaving?"
"At 8:00." Octavia said. "But our ride doesn't leave till nine."
"Is Gold Dust bringing Mr. Midnight?" Ella asked excitedly. "He's fun to play with."
"I don't know." Octavia said as she brought out a pitcher with water in it. "I wouldn't count on it though."
"Because of what happened to his girlfriend, right?" Flint said, causing Octavia to glare at him. "What?"
"Anyway, you two go get ready for dinner, and Flint pack some things for the trip." Octavia replied as she shooed them out of the dining room. "It's four thirty now, so be ready in thirty minutes."
--30 minutes later--
Ding Dong
"Their here." Octavia said as she opened to the door. "Twilight, Gold Dust, it's good to see you two again." she said as she gave them both hugs. "Thank you two so much for doing this."
"It’s no trouble." Gold Dust said, chuckling. "How's Flint doing?"
"Still convinced that his father died a coward like his friend told him." Octavia said sadly, as she let them in. "I want to tell them about us and how his father really died but.."
"Could cause a risk." Twilight said, giving her a reassuring smile. "We're here for you."
"Thanks guys." Octavia replied, smiling." How's Midnight been, since what happened to Sunset Shimmer?"
"He finally snapped and went to find her." Gold Dust said as Flint and Ella came down the stairs." He left two hours ago."
"Hi Gold Dust, hey Twilight." Flint said as he came over to them. " How everything going?"
"Just fine, how about you, G.I. Joe." Gold Dust replied, nudging him and winking. "We heard the news."
"Yeah thanks." Flint said putting a fake smile. "Just a little nervous."
"I would be too." Gold Dust said. "Now then, LET'S EAT!"
--5:05pm, outside the citadel, midnight sapphire--
"There it is." midnight said into himself as he got of his bike." the citadel."
"It's now or never." He said as he entered the city, once known as New York." Havenel, the home of the headquarters of the eights. Despite it being the Enemies home, it's quite beautiful."
"Agreed." a voice said from behind Midnight, surprising him. "You seriously think you'd do this alone?"
"This isn't your fight Red Rave. "Midnight said, sighing. "Go back to your family."
"I know you’re here to rescue Sunset, that's why I'm here too." Red Rave said as they walked the streets. “ She was my friend too."
"She was more than a friend." Midnight said as they hid from patrolling eights. "We loved each other."
"I'm so sorry." Red said sadly. "But how do you plan on getting her out, for all we know she could've been controlled."
"I have to to try." Midnight replied as they approached the citadel. "Looks like team tenkai are going to make a comeback."
"Let me." Red said as a red aura covered her arm. "TIME TO BUST DOWN THE DOOR!!!!" she yelled as she punched down the door. She frowned and rubbed her arm "That actually kinda hurt."
"Arms where we can see them." An eight said as a squad of them aimed their guns at her. "Stand down now!"
"How about… no." Red said as Midnight appeared next to her. "Lets just say.. your screwed."
--Younic ( Crown city, renamed after the majin incident)--
"This is really good Mom." Ella said as they ate. "I'll miss you guys while you’re gone."
(Boom)
"What was that?" Flint said as Octavia and Twilight gave each other nervous looks. "Can we turn on the tv?"
"Hey guys, Midnights on tv!" Ella called from the living room." And he's doing some weird tricks with a sword."
"How is he doing that?" Flint asked as Midnight launched an energy wave from his sword. "Did you know he could do that Gold Dust?"
"I’ve always known." Gold Dust said as Midnight kept fighting." Octavia you need to tell them."
"Tell us what?" Flint asked. "Mom, what's Gold Dust talking about?"
"Flint Locke, Ellaway there's something I have to tell you two. "Octavia said sadly. "Do you know how your father really died?"
"Yeah, a coward." Flint said angry. "You don't have tell the story again, I've heard it so many times."
"Do you know the true story." Octavia said catching his attention. "He died doing the same thing Midnight’s doing right now, saving someone he cares for."
"Who did father save?" Ella asked. "Was it you Dad was saving?"
"Yes, it was." Octavia said, smiling but with tears in her eyes. "He took down at least fifty of the eights, and one of the mechs just to get to me."
"HOW!?!?" Flint asked, shocked. "How could a human do that?"
"Because he wasn't human." Octavia said as Flint and Ella looked at her, surprised. "Neither am I, we were once known as tenkai."
"You and dad were part of team tenkai?" Flint asked, shocked. "What was Dad?"
"He was called an annierian." Octavia said sadly. "He was also a king."
"You mean we're royalty?" Ella asked as Octavia nodded. "So I'm a princess, and Flint is a prince?"
"Yes." Octavia said sadly. "But, your dad had to sacrifice himself, just for us to escape."
"Us?" Flint asked. "Oh right, the rest of the team."
"Correct, your father used a forbidden power, which caused the eights main factory to be destroyed." Octavia said sadly." It's called a majin blast."
"Is that what the majin incident was named after?" Ella asked.
"Yes." Octavia said sighing. "Your father was turned to stone, and he's still there at the crater, so he may wake up, or he may not."
"Um guys." Ella said, catching everyone's attention. "Midnights in trouble." she said, pointing at the screen as Midnight was kneeling on the ground being surround by eights.
"Oh Midnight." Gold Dust said, sighing. "Always getting in trouble."
"How many times has he gotten in trouble?" Flint asked, as one of the eights pulled a gun out and shot Midnight in the head, killing him. "Oh no!"
"That's one less.” Twilight said as Octavia covered her mouth with her hand, and Ella started crying. "We need to do something, all this death and..." Twilight was interrupted by a sound filling the air.
Section 8 war fighter
"Section 8 is coming." Gold Dust said, as he looked out the window to see people running and screaming in panic as war fighters flew over the city firing their weapons and dropping bombs. "We need to leave."
"Looks like you’re coming with us Ellaway." Flint said as they hurried and ran outside to the car." I just hope father returns soon."
