Moon Dancer is having a little get-together in the west castle courtyard. You wanna come?
"There you are, Twilight!" Twinkle Shine said upon seeing Twilight Sparkle, a studious, lavender, unicorn. The three unicorns, Twinkle Shine, Minuette, and Lemon Hearts were walking to Moon Dancers party that they were having later that day. "Moon Dancer is having a little get-together in the west castle courtyard. You wanna come?" She continued, after Twilight had stopped.
"Oh, sorry, girls... I've got a lot of studying to catch up on." The lavender unicorn said while looking sheepishly at the large book in her saddlebags. Twilight had recently been reading about the Elements Of Harmony, and was hurrying back to her library to find more information. Twinkle Shine and her friends stepped aside as Twilight ran past them in the direction of her house.
"Does that pony do anything except study? I think she's more interested in books than friends." Twinkle Shine said, looking at Twilight while she ran up the spiral ramp around her house.
"I wish she would at least come to this party." Minuette, a blue, unicorn, mare said. "Moon Dancer has been planning this for weeks, and Twilight is probably her best, and first friend. Moon Dancer has never even tried to be social before, If Twilight doesn't show up, then she may become even less outgoing than before." She finished, turning her head towards Lemon Hearts. "What do you think Lemon?"
Lemon Hearts blinked in surprise, at being asked. "Umm. Yeah, I think that without Twilight there, Moon Dancer will be more secluded and withdrawn. I'm not sure if she'll try being friends with us." She said, as she started to walk forward again. Twinkle Shine, and Minuette, followed her. "I mean, She's never really responded to anypony but Twilight before, and we were only invited to the party because Twilight told her to let us come, so she could have more friends." Lemon continued.
They continued walking to Moon Dancers house, passing by large, majestic buildings, and tall spiral towers. After a few more minutes of walking Minuette asked. "What gifts did you girls get Moon Dancer for the party? I'm getting her a new copy of Ancient Relics, and Banished Artifacts. I accidently destroyed her old copy when I messed up that potion earlier today."
"Oh yeah, that was funny," Twinkle said, laughing a bit. "I decided to give her some of my old books that I never read anymore."
"I'm giving her a few of my old books too." Lemon Hearts said. "Wow, all of us are getting her books? That's weird."
Minuette looked over at Lemon. "Not really, all we've ever seen her do is read books. I mean really, who reads as many books as Moon? I think that only Twilight could even try to compete with that." She replied.
Finally they reached Moon Dancers home. They walked up to the door and Twinkle Shine knocked her hoof against it. Nopony answered. She tried again. "Moon Dancer? Were here for the party." She said, loudly. A series of thumps sounded inside the house. It sounded like a pile of books had fallen over, or maybe even a bookshelf.
"I'm coming!" Moon Dancer said from inside. "Just a second." With that she opened the door using her magic. Twinkle Shine stepped forward, and looked inside. Moon Dancer was stuck under a pile of books. "Umm, a little help?" She asked, looking up at them.
"Here" Minuette said, as a blue aura surrounded her horn. An identical aura also surrounded some of the books, and levitated them off of her. A pink aura surrounded the rest of the books, as Twinkle Shine also removed the books from her. "Is that better?" Minuette asked.
"Yes. Thank you." Moon Dancer said as she stood up. "Umm, sorry, but what are your names? Twilight asked if she could invite some of her friends, but she didn't say who."
"Oh, my name is Minuette, '' Minuette said. "And this is Twinkle Shine, and Lemon Hearts." She continued, while gesturing to the ponies beside her. "Thanks for letting us come to your party."
"You're welcome. But where is Twilight?" Moon asked while looking to see if she was behind them. "I don't see her."
All three unicorns sighed. Lemon Hearts stepped forward. "Twilight said that she couldn't come because she was too busy 'Studying'. She was the one who convinced you to stop studying for this, then she doesn't even come herself. That's just rude." She said.
"Oh." Moon Dancer said, quietly. "I’m sorry but could you go? Really the only reason that I was having this party was so I could talk to Twilight some more. If she's not coming then there's no reason to even have a party."
"Oh. Okay. We'll just leave the presents here." Lemon Hearts said in a slightly depressed tone. She set her pile of books by the door, and left. "Bye." Twinkle Shine, and Minuette also walked out, leaving their books by the door and saying their goodbyes.
After Moon Dancer had closed the door, Minuette said. "See. I told you she wouldn't want to be friends with us. She just wanted to be with Twilight."
Lemon Hearts sighed. "I'm going home. I'll see you girls tomorrow."
"Bye Lemon." Both Minuette and Twinkle Shine said together. Minuette turned towards Twinkle. "I'm going to go home too, but can you try to meet me here tomorrow? I want to try again."
"Sure, I’ll try and find something complicated to study. Hopefully it will at least get her to let us in. Bye Minuette. I'll see you later."
"Oooh… that’s actually a pretty good idea. Though I’m not sure if I can learn enough by tomorrow to actually impress her. Do you want to come to the library with me? We could look together for something to bring up tomorrow."
“Yeah... why not?”
