//------------------------------// // Chapter 1 // Story: Inner argument // by CrossRedstone //------------------------------// Sunset sighed, looking at the two dresses Rarity prepared for her. Right now she was standing inside the Boutique, which Rarity’s parents owned with two mannequins in front of her, which wore the dresses. One was an elegant white dress with golden outlines and a necklace in form of her cutie mark. Additionally Rarity had prepared a pair of golden stilettos. It was open on the backside and finally Rarity even prepared a crown! Though, this item was at least optional. Ever since Sunset had explained the concept of alicorns being princesses in Equestria, Rarity had been a little bit obsessed, especially since Sunset transformed into the human equivalent of an alicorn. Shaking her head, Sunset looked at the other dress. This one had a bit more cleavage and was black. It came additionally with a pair of dark, violette opera gloves, stockings, darker versions of her original boots, still with the purple “stains”, a violet colored skirt, cut in flower pattern and as a little touch it came with a belt with her cutie mark in the middle. “Hmm, dunno. The first one looks too elegant. I mean it’s not like we’re going to a super expensive restaurant. On the other hand, the black one just seems way too complicated.” “I think you should wear the white one. It is simple, yet elegant. Maybe we should ask Rarity if she made some gloves for this one too. It would certainly complete the picture.” “Oh, gimme a break. If anything we should take the black one. But tell Rarity to get rid of the skirt. How’s Twilight supposed to be stunned, if she can’t even see our legs?” Rolling her eyes, Sunset turned around and looked straight into two mirrors. Instead of showing her normal reflections however, the right one showed her demonic self from the fall formal and the other one her angelic self from the friendship games. “I could now comment how stereotypical your choices are, but how about you two actually keep your promise and be quiet for the night?” the girl huffed. “Seriously, this is my first real date and the last thing I need are two voices constantly bickering inside my head.” “Oh, come on! Let us at least chime in with your dress choice. But seriously, you need to show Twilight some skin. After that, she is as good as yours.” Sundown, as the girl had dubbed her demonic self grinned, while rubbing her hands. Daydream, as Sunset called her angelic self, crossed her arms. “This isn’t about getting Twilight into bed. Also according to your logic, the white dress would be the better choice.” “No, all Rarity needs to do is to cut off the skirt and give us some new shoes. BAM!” Sundown slammed her fist into her palm. “Sexy lady right there.” “This isn’t necessarily a good thing. Twilight might be overwhelmed by our “sexiness” as you like to put it. Maybe we should go for something a little more modest. We still have the time, Rarity might have a spare dress we could wear.” Daydream pointed out. “Heck, yeah that’s right! I think I saw a dress earlier that’s just perfect!” “The second one to the left in the women's section? The one with the huge cleavage, where one strong gust of wind could reveal our underwear?” Daydream deadpanned. Sundown rolled her eyes. “Now you’re exaggerating. It covers more than enough. What do you think I am, a slut?” “Luckily or rather unfortunately, we’re both a part of the same person, so I know that you’re not that bad.” Daydream stated in a cool, calm demeanor. “Unfortunately?!” Sundown shouted. “Without me, this mare would have long ago ended up in the trashcan these humans call orphanage! She would have never started to fight back! Hell, she would be dead at this point!” “Oh please. The only thing you did was complicating her life. Her friends were more than enough help to get through these troublesome times.” “Friends? Help? Yeah right, just like they “helped” last Hearts Warming-” “ENOUGH!” Sunset shouted on top of her lungs. The real girl looked angrily at both of her other selves. “I’m sick and tired of you two bickering every day already! Now, if you both would mind to SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR JUST ONE CELESTIA DAMNED EVENING!! Seriously, do you know how weird it is hearing two voices in your head?! Who am I, Deadpool?! Now, I’m gonna take the white dress. It is both elegant and sexy. Now are you both satisfied? No?, I don’t care.” Sunset glared at her demonic self, who was about to protest but stopped. “So, I’m gonna change and then I’m going to the date. And unless I specifically ask you something, you two keep traps shut until tomorrow or else, we’re going on a rollercoaster ride. Understood?” she asked in a sick, sweetly tone. Both Daydream and Sundown gulped at the threat. Being inside their true selves head had one big disadvantage. When something happened to their hosts head, they were the ones it had the strongest effect on. It came to light last month, when a theme park came to town and Sunset was dared by Rainbow Dash to ride the rollercoaster. It had not been a pleasant experience for neither the shoulder angel, nor the shoulder demon. They shuddered at what would happen to them if Sunset would take medications for whatever psychological condition the two could be called. “Finally.” Sunset grumbled, taking the white dress and going to the changing room. Just as she was done, Rarity came downstairs, looking worried. “Are you alright dear? I thought I heard you screaming…” “Uh…” Sunset scratched the back of her head. “Internal debate. You know, I’m a little nervous and all that stuff. This is my first real date after all. How do I look?” Sunset turned around, in order for Rarity to get a full look at it. “Simply put, beautiful my dear. Now then, Twilight called about ten minutes ago. She should be here any minute.” The entrance bell chimed as she said this. “Speaking of Discord…” The two girls turned around and gasped for air. Twilight simply wore a dark purple dress, with a light violet star in the middle. The star was partially covered by a black heart, which ended in an arrow pointing downwards. The lower part of the dress was a very dark purple. Instead of wearing her hair in a bun, she had let it loose. She also wore some makeup, turned her glasses in for contacts and had black stilettos on. Now that in itself Sunset had kinda expected (not really, but it had been a reasonably possibility). What the girl didn’t expect was how much skin Twilight showed. Sunset caught herself staring at Twilight’s cleavage more than was appropriate and the point where the dress ended, appeared to be just within a reasonable amount. Twilight herself started to blush, noticing the stares she was getting and looked to the side. “See? I told you it would work.”
