//------------------------------// // Chapter 3 // Story: Twilight's Diary // by PonyWrites //------------------------------// I'm not going to tell you exactly what happened in that experiment, that's what my lab notes are for, but it involved a flame thrower, pruning shears and gripping failure. Perhaps Applejack will lend me some of her non-sapient livestock. If we're still on speaking terms, that is. Well, I have to make it up to her somehow, eventually. It went like this: I knock on the door to Sweet Apple Acres and AJ answers. Like most things, I like to get it out of the way as soon as possible. She still looks so sad. I've barely thought about it sense then. "I'm sorry. I'm not here to ask for another chance, but I'm sorry I hurt your feelings." Thank goodness I've gotten good at acting. I mean what I say but it's just mind-boggling. The best way I can describe it is I'm not sure why I'm even in this situation either. While it begs an ethical question, if you have to act to express how you actually feel, is it your actual feelings? Well, I'd say yes. Other than that I'd be likely to speak in a monotone. Indeed I did while I was learning to speak. Either that or loudly, if it was something I cared about. Anyway, she politely invited me in, but I can tell she didn't fully accept my apology yet. Romance is always a touchy subject, at least going with what I've learned from books. I do have a little experience but even then I think of it differently than others. Love does take many forms. We are not going to talk about what happened to that pig, or that particular room in the castle. We are not going to talk about why five-hundred bits are "missing" from the coffers while a cleaning crew may or may not have that much in windfall. I'm just going to put that spell on the back-burner for now.... Well... That's all I have for now. I guess.
