The Adventure Part 2
After a full good night’s rest I got out of bed at 8:30 and rushed my way over to my list and flew down to the spot where i said I was going to meet them. Once I landed it was already 8:55 in the morning. Exiting the list and looking around I saw four guards and six ponies in white coats which I assumed was the scientists. I also noticed they had equipment with them. They stopped a few meters away from me as a guard came up to me and spoke “Greetings you must be Rhino Prime?” One of the guards spoke.
“Yes it’s me I take it you're all here for the trip?” I asked.
“Yes it’s true.” He replied.
“All right welcome aboard.” I said as I stepped aside to let them in.
“Thank you.”He said to me as he turned around and spoke to the rest “All right we got clearance let’s get a move on!” he shouted. I watched as they all brought their stuff aboard and entered once they were done. Entering I closed the door behind me.
“Alright let’s get this party started! Oh feel free to ask me any questions until we get to the the void.” I said. “Ordis take us up into orbit then attach to the orbiter and await further instructions.” I spoke to Ordis.
The Ponies found different spots where they could sit while doing their research. I saw a unicorn approach me and his horn glowing. “Can I help you?”I asked.
“Oh uh yes Sir Rhino I got to this to ask if I may.” He Spoke nervously.
“Of course you may there’s no reason to be afraid of me.” I said.
“Okay um first question who were you talking to?” He asked.
“It was Ordis he’s the ship were in.” I answered.
“Wait how?” He asked.
“Ordis is an artificial intelligence known as a cephalon.” I answered.
“Oh okay for my other question is, whats this kind of energy you're emitting?” He asked as he was scanning me which is what I thought he was doing.
“It’s the void you're detecting a very powerful energy substance.” I said.
“Oh wow.” He said.
“Operator we have docked with the Orbiter what should I do know?” Ordis spoke.
“Are the others ready?” I asked.
“Yes Operator” He replied.
“Please contact them please.” I spoke.
“Yes Operator.” He replied. As screens of every one else popped up on screens.
“Are you all ready?” I asked each of them.
“Yeah we're ready waiting for the count down.” Ember said.
“All right void jump in t minus 10” I said as a timer popped up and started to count down from ten seconds as all the screens disappeared.
“All hands or hooves on deck brace for void jump!” I ordered as they all braced themselves.
Once It reached zero seconds we jumped which felt like your whole body being stretched impossibly long, anyway we made it to void.
“Everypony ok?” I asked.
Each pony aboard replied with their versions of a yes.
“Good, Ordis Inform the others to head to the tower.” “Oh also travel to these coordinates.” I said.
“Yes operator.” Ordis replied as all the other orbiters and mine started traveling towards the Orokin tower.
“All right i’ll be at the back of the ship equipping my gear.” I told the ponies aboard.
I went down the ramp to the equipping station, I decided to go with my Dex Sybaris for my primary, Aksomati as my secondary, my Galatine Heavy Sword. I turned around once I was finished and Saw a guard standing there.
“Yes can I help you?” I asked.
The guard took of his helmet and the spell that kept them all identical faded which revealed Tank Strike.
“Tank Strike?!” I said shocked.
“Yep it’s me, soo this is what the back of the ship looks like.” He said as looked at all the things stationed here.
“Yep cool isn’t it?” I said.
“Yeah...oh nice great sword you got there.” He spoke.
“Thanks Galatine here and I have been through alot of nasty things but we should get ready we're almost there.” I spoke.
“Okay I just can’t wait what will happen on this mission!” He said with glee.
“Don’t worry there’s a lot of things that will happen, wait are you new to the guard?” I asked.
“Yeah, why?” He said.
“Just wondering.” I replied as I went back up the ramp with him following suit.
“Sir we have arrived” Ordis spoke up.
“Alright everyone prepare to disembark.” I said.
“Ordis detach the liset and land on the platform below us.” I spoke to Ordis.
“Yes Operator.” He replied.
So that’s what he did, Once we landed I went to the back of my ship and Got my Wyrm Prime.
As I came back out I said “Alright we're here ready up and meet me outside when all of you are ready.” I spoke before I exited the ship.
Once outside I saw everyone else standing ready with their own personal Sentinels.
“Everyone ready?” I asked.
“Yeah as I’ll ever be big guy” Ember Prime said.
“Eeh great” I said.
Every one else replied with comment or just a word stating they were ready.
“All right I have figured out a temporary defense against the Neural Sentry for the ponies.” I said.
“And what is that?” Ash asked.
“We could use our sentinels to disrupt the Neural Sentry detection systems but unfortunately the sentinels have to be close to the ponies.” I spoke.
“All right and it seems they're all ready.” Ash replied.
“Get all your sentinels ready and send them to follow one of the ponies” I spoke to my group which they nodded in return.
I just realized that there were more ponies than sentinels so I asked Ordis to activate my other which was a Death cube. It came out of my ship and positioned it self over a Pony that wasn’t occupied.
“All right we're all set and the disruption signal is running.” I spoke.
I went over to the ponies who were all looking up at their new companions.
“Hey are you all ready to go?” I asked them once I was within ear shot.
“Yeah we are but what are these objects that are floating above us?” The lead guard said.
“Oh they are sentinels which will help protect you from all hostile forces were going to encounter.” I replied.
“Oh but were completely able to fend for ourselves.” He replied.
“That I can believe but the forces here are unlike anything you have fought.” I said before I turned around and faced my group.
“All right we're ready weapons free and let’s head out!” Shouted to everyone.
So us tenno went first then the ponies followed after us.
Once we walked a few meters from the entrance we were completely quiet as we walked.
"My love those things are not Orokin anymore. They are freaks, abominations. They need to be put down." Came out of nowhere but recognized it as Hakkar’s voice.
“That, I remember I said that during the war and with the introduction of the Tenno.” Hakkar spoke.
“Wow just like the second dream.” I said.
“Yeah” Ember spoke.
Another moment of peace and quiet before it was broken by one of the scientists speaking. “Is it just me or does it feel like we're being watched constantly.” He spoke.
“Yeah” A guard spoke before stepping on a pressure plate which gave off a deflating sound.
“Ops” The guard said.
“Shit” I said as the whole room before us changed into where we had to jump from platform to platform which was combined with moving lasers and turrets.
“Well this is just great.” Ash said.
“Well shoot those turrets and lasers then we just have the parkour to worry about.” I replied.
“Right” Ash said as we opened fired upon the lasers and turrets.
“There was that easy!” I said once they were shot.
“Yeah.” Ash said with a deadpan voice.
“Now Parkour!” Nyx said as she went and started on the parkour which we followed her one by one.
Once we all go to the other side we heard something being said but this time another voice.
"Please Hakkar give them a chance. I believe we can trust them." An unknown person said.
“Wow….” I said.
“Yeah…” Loki said.
Looking over at the ponies I saw the Scientists furiously scribbling down notes as we moved into the next room.
In that room was a death orb that I walked straight into but my shields kept me from being harmed which caused everyone to gasp.
Once I dealt with the orb by blowing the lasers off and the top part which made it turn.
“Alright guys it’s dealt with you can come out now!” I shouted.
Which they did. “How, how did you survive that?” Tank Strike came and asked.
“Shields kid all tenno have them Excalibur and I have the highest amount of shields here. But I have the most armor of this group.” I said.
“Wow you guys are though aren't you?” He asked.
“Yup we are.” I spoke.
A few moments of peace some one broke it by speaking. “Eww, what is this!” A female scientist screamed.
I came over and saw something really disgusting, it was a type of creep like what we have in the Origin system but this was on a higher level of disturbing. What the creep locked like was someone just decided to spill all their inner contents out on the floor which gave it a more fleshy appearance. As I looked closer I saw it was seeping… vomit! “Ugh this smells horrible.” the same scientist spoke which told me it had a very bad stench. I reach out and touch it which had the same feeling as the the creep in the origin system but more slimy.
“This is really disturbing.” I spoke looking up I saw that this creep spread everywhere ahead of us. “And it keeps going.” I mutter to myself.
We decided to keep going with me leading. Suddenly a high pitch screech came which ended with me being sent flying as something hit me. I was stopped when I hit a pillar. I got up and saw I was a gigantic infested that charged me which was engaged with my group. I just realised I was sent flying pretty far as they were quite a distance from me. I quickly made my way back and started to engage it with my fellow tenno as I came close I noticed It’s a bipedal with a squashed human head but still had the form of a human head, what I noticed next was it’s extremely extended arms which I thought was used to impale its prey and knocking them down and the last thing I noticed I came up to it’s chest which made it huge.
We tried shooting at it’s head for a few minutes but nothing happen as we found out that it was immune to headshots.
“Aaaaa how do we even kill this thing!” Nyx Shouted.
“If I remember correctly it’s limbs are the weakest of the Hunter.” Hakkar spoke.
“Alright everyone aim for it’s legs!” I shouted. Once we were all aimed in we fired which got it to fall the ground and it started to crawl towards me.
“That just creepy” Loki Said.
“Yeah” Ember said as I came charging and jumped up into the air drew my Galantine as I landed impaled the Hunter in the back splitting it apart.
“There it’s dead” I spoke as I walked ahead.
"And why should we trust them?" Hakkar’s voice came.
“Another insight to the past…”I mumbled.
“Mr. Rhino?” A scientist came up to me as he spoke.
“Yes?” I replied.
“What was that creature?” He asked.
“That was a Hunter apart of a mutated race called the infested which is more of a disease that has no cure which consumes its victims turning them into an infested, a horrible fate for all.” I spoke.
He shivers as I said those words. “How gruesome isn’t there anything your people are doing against it?” He asked.
“I wish we could but we don’t know where the source of this infestation is so we can’t actually defeat them but keep them from infecting more.” I spoke.
