Chapter 12: Hidden Truth
We all head to the oval where Dash and I were going to begin training for the competition
“Alright let’s do this Dash”
I begin to run around in circles until the vortex begins to start up
“Alright Dash you ready”
“Sure am Shadow”
“Alright let’s do this”
Dash began to race down from the sky into the middle of the vortex for the finale the Sonic Rainboom.
“Here I come Shadow”
The next thing I know a sudden burst of rainbow collides into the centre of the vortex and sends the vortex flying out into a red and black rainbow with the colours of the rainbow sparkling from behind. The only disappointment was the cloud of smoke left form the collision and 9 could also feel something on top of me.
“HAHAHAHA… that was awesome” said Rainbow Dash while sitting on top of me
“Sure was” I said coughing “He Dash you don’t mind hoping off me for a sec… kinda sitting on my ribs?”
“Oh sorry” said Rainbow Dash suddenly realizing she’s on top of me
“So what should we do know…. We kind of got this down packed”
“I dunno”
“How about we…..”
“What”
“Go get something to eat” Said Rainbow Dash shyly
“Sure that vortex made me tired”
“How about we take Scootaloo and Sweetie belle home first”
“Sure”
“Hey Sweetie belle and Scootaloo time to go home”
“Oh do we have to Rarity is always boring at this time of the year” said Sweetie belle
“Yes you gotta go home sometime” I said trying not to laugh
“Oh but your way more awesome than Rarity…. Please can we stay?” pleads Sweetie belle and Scootaloo
“I’m sorry but I’ve gotta take you home” I said “Rarity will be furious if I don’t take you straight home”
“Okay then” Sweetie belle and Scootaloo said sadly
“I fly you home okay Sweetie belle… Dash you don’t mind taking Scootaloo home”
“Na doesn’t mind me… I’ll meet ya at Rarity’s” Said Rainbow Dash
“Okay ill see ya there”
“Bye” said Dash as she zooms off
“Okay Sweetie Belle hop on” I said kneeling down
Sweetie belle then jumps on top of my back and we begin to fly to Rarity’s house
“So Shadow….” Said Sweetie belle quietly
“Yes Sweetie Belle”
“Are you going to marry Rarity Someday?”
“I dunno…. Maybe… why?”
“Cuz you would make an awesome Step brother”
“Glad to see I have your blessing” I said
“It’s all good” said Sweetie belle
“Hahahaha that’s exactly what I said”
“I know you said it all the time so I thought I would said it for once”
“Hahaha… Okay were here” I said heading down to Rarity’s house
I walk to the door and knock
“You there Rarity” I said
“Yes Shadow”
“Here’s Sweetie belle”
“Good just the person I was looking for” said Rarity quickly pulling Sweetie belle inside
“Bye I guess”
It was about five to ten minutes before Rainbow Dash arrived
“What took you so long?” I said
“Scootaloo wouldn’t stop asking for me to show her some tricks”
“Okay…well I’m starving you”
“Yep” said Rainbow Dash with a smile, “let’s go get something to eat”
“Cool” I said with a smile
We head to town to get something to eat
“Hey Shadow”
“Yeah”
“Are you going to the gala with Rarity?”
“Sure am… why”
“Just wondering… just because everyone around PonyVille knows she likes the Princess Celestia’s son Prince Blueblood”
“And what’s so bad about that”
“Well just be careful that she doesn’t go off and marry him”
“Yeah I’ll be alright”
“hey were here now” Said Dash as she zooms down to the burger store
We walking inside the burger store and sit near the window
“So what’s there to get here” I said
“Well the Hay burger sandwich is good” said Dash
“Alright I’ll get one of them” I said
“Same” said Dash, “I’ll go order”
“Okay”
‘I think Rainbow Dash kind of likes me’ I think to myself, ‘I think she may be jealous of Rarity’
‘But I’ve got the prince to worry about on Saturday’
Rainbow Dash gets back after ordering the food
“So Shadow that was a fun practice”
“Yeah it didn’t take long at all”
“Maybe we should practise after were finished eating”
“Yeah we probably should because we have to get this down packed before Saturday”
“Cool we’ll head back to the oval after this”
“Cool” I said as the food arrives”
We begin to chow down on are food.
“Hey Shadow…. I was wondering if…. You could show me how to do that vortex of yours”
“Hmmm….I did promise I would some time…. Okay I will” I said with a cheesy smile
We finish our food and head to the oval
“Hey Dash”
“Yeah what is it”
“How about a race”
“Alright from here to the oval”
“Okay on three” I said “One….Two….Three….”
Dash and I begin to zoom down the road towards the Oval
‘Ha Dash is fast but I think I can beat her’ I think to myself
I begin to zoom down an alleyway hoping it’s quicker to get through to the oval, but I suddenly see Dash zoom right past me while smiling right at me
‘Damn she’s beating me’
I begin to fly harder and faster just so I can beat her to the oval. I catch up to her and see the oval about five- 10 metres away
‘Alright I have to do this’
I flap my wings harder and harder till I zoom right past Dash
‘Yes I’m in front’
I reach the oval and stop to said I win until Dash crashes into me
“Agh god damn that was so much fun” I said
“Hahahaha” Dash laughs
“Haha you back on top of me again Dash”
“Yep” she said with a gleam in her eye
“Well I can said at least I won”
“Only because I let you” Dash said sarcastically
“So what do I get for winning?” I said as a joke
“You get this” Dash said as she leans down and kisses me
