Miraculous Dragonfly and Draconequus

by Macmeg13

Prologue

"Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were;

The Miraculous

Through out history, heroes use these jewels for the good of the pony race. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful then the others: The ear rings of the Dragonfly, which provide the power of creation and the necklace of the Draconequus, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both of these jewels at the same time will achieve absolute power."

"I want that absolute power Chrysalis." said the ruff voice of a unicorn male. He looked up to his floating kwami, a small creature that looked like a changeling queen, who was looking rather nervous. "I must have those Miraculous."

The small bug shook her head, flying closer the him. "But nopony knows where these Miraculous are!" Chrysalis tried to reason, the unicorn however smiled.

"But I found you though my little Chrysalis." he said. He looked down to his Crystal cane, and at the very top showed a gem glowing a sickly green. "Your Miraculous," he said, toying with it. "Remind me of its power again." Chrysalis meekly nodded before speaking.

"The Breezy cane allows you to give somepony there own superpowers and to make that pony your devoted follower." The unicorns smile grew.

"And when it comes to luring superheroes, what can be better then creating supervillians? " he asked. The little changelings eyes grew in shock.

"B-but master," she said nervously, "the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!"

"But I must have absolute power!" he shouted angerly, stomping his hoof to the ground. Chrysalis jumped as the dozens of harmless Breezy's that filled the dark rooms floor to flutter around. Not caring of them, he leaned in closer to the frightened changeling "Your Miraculous is in MY control!" he said as he pointed at her, she gasped slightly. "I am your new master now! And you must obey ME!" Chrysalis shook in absolute fright, staring at the unicorn in shock before sighing in defeat. She bowed her head.

"Yes master." she muttered. He sighed before composing himself. The Breezy's still flew aimlessly in the small room, only light coming from the dim room was a large window. The stallion glared at the shaking kwami before speaking again, his voice much colder.

"Now Chrysalis," he said as the Breezy's started swarming around the unicorn. "BLACK WING, RISE!" he exclaimed loudly. The small bug swallowed nervously before entering his cane, causing him to transform. Once finished, the swarming Breezy's slowly stopped circling him to reveal the unicorn but looking different. His usual gray fur was now black, and his black mane and tail was now floating without a breeze. He wore a metal crown and a red cape. He wore metallic horseshoes and his normally gray horn was curved and blood red. His cane was floating next to him in his magic. As he opened his eyes, they were now glowing the same sickly green as his cane, his pupils red and purple mist was floating from his eyes.

"From this day on," he said as he looked out the window, showing a perfect view of all of Canterlot. "I shall be know as King Umbrum!" he announced before laughing menacingly.

Somewhere in Canterlot, there was another kwami. Unlike Chrysalis, this one looked like a phoenix. She was sleeping in a small makeshift bed before waking up suddenly in a panic. She quickly flew out of her hiding place to her master, an old female zebra. The zebra has rings on her neck and front right hoof, two large hoop earrings and a black and white mohawk. She was sitting down with her front hooves up, eyes closed, and was just about ready to start a massage on a blue pegasus pony, who was currently lying down in front of her, eyes closed as well.

"Master," the phoenix whispered urgently, "Master!" The zebra hummed in response as she opened her eyes. Hearing the second voice, the pegasus lifted his head up but missed the kwami as she flew behind the old mare who closed her eyes once more, smiling innocently at the confused stallion. She waved her hooves at the back of the pegasus.

"Hmm master, master." she said, as if it was part of the ritual, before looking back at the pegasus. "Chanting," she explained, she put her hooves together. "Its all part of the treatment." she said before continuing her chanting. "Master, master...". She then picked the pegasus back onto his hooves and started pushing him out the door.

"Thank you for coming." she said while pushing the extremely confused pony. "See you again next week!" she said before closing the door on him. The small bird flew out from behind her once he was gone, still panicking.

"Master!" she exclaimed. "The Breezy Miraculous, I felt its aura!" This caused the zebra to frown.

"But I thought it was lost forever." she said. The phoenix shook her head.

"But master, its an negative aura!" she said, growing much more nervous. "I fear it might have gone in the wrong hooves of a dark power!"

This was something the zebra didn't like to hear. She put a hoof to her chin in thought. "We must find Chrysalis and her Miraculous." she said while walking to the other side of the room. "If it fell into the wrong hooves, there's no telling what evil might come upon the world!" she said, causing the kwami to gasp. The zebra however smirked as she lifted her ringed hoof. "I am to transform!" she said as she rose to her back hooves. However, she didn't get a chance to start when she winced in pain because of her back cracking. She groaned as she landed back on her front hooves, one of them rubbing her soar back.

The small bird flew toward her face with a mild look of concern. "Please master be reasonable. You are..." but was interrupted by the zebra, a small smile on her face.

"Still young." she finished for the kwami. "I'm only 186." With small difficulty, she turned around and started walking toward her cabinet, the fire bird floating next to her face. "But you're right Philomena, I can no longer do it alone." When arrived to the cabinet she opened the door to find dozens of potions and remedy's. On the bottom shelf, there was a a large locked box. "We'll need some help." she said as she took out the box. She put in a small code to unlock before opening it to reveal a much smaller box. This box had old designs on it and decorated with long serpents. Philomena gasped.
