//------------------------------// // Chapter 5 - Contact Part 3 // Story: Different Dimensions // by Twinx //------------------------------// I don’t know it’s just a feeling - Original by me Chapter 5 – Contact part 3 (P.O.V 3rd person focused on William) Entering the purple building to hear a small bell William looked around to see an array of dresses and suits of different design and fashion on pony manikins ‘must be a clothing shop of so sort though these look like the kind you’d wear only on special occasion I wonder if this is all they make.’ He thought to himself “Coming, I’ll be down in a moment.” A gentle female voice said coming from upstairs. ‘Oh, must be the owner might as well say hello to her, I'm already here might as well.' He thought. Soon a pearl white pony with a purple mane and tail came down the stairs that lead upstairs. "Oh, well Hello I don't think we have met before darling, Welcome to the Carousel Boutique where every garment is chic, unique, and Magnifique. My name is Rarity Belle and may a lady ask your name?" she said look at William with a curious look on her face. "Nice to meet you Rarity and while my true name is somewhat a mystery to me I have been going by the name William till I can recall my past; you probably have read about me in the newspaper." He said thinking that she would recognize the name from the news. "Well, what a gentle stallion, Yes I did indeed read that article is it true you don't remember you past and remember only the name William?” she asked in a polite manner. "Yes, unfortunately, and the name is a vague memory at best if you could even call it that, I saw your shop and thought that it looked somewhat familiar and thought I would check it out to see if I recall anything from my past I hope I’m not disturbing you in any way.” He said apologetically. “Oh, no I wasn’t doing much I finished my last order an hour or so ago and was relaxing a little before you came in. So William darling anything coming back to you?” she asked “Nothing solid, but I getting a sense that as I look at these clothing that perhaps I wore something on a daily basis, nothing like what I see here something more...” he paused to think of the word. “Basic?” Rarity subjected. “Ya, more basic but that’s all I can really say for sure.” He said a bit more openly. "Then why don't you look through this magazine it shows a wide verity of more common clothing that I could make for you if you wish," She said handing him a magazine called Every Day Stallion Wear. "and while you look through it I can take your measurements in case you do want something or just for future reference in case you want something later on." “Well, I was supposed to go somewhere today but I bet it could wait and I'm already here why not." He said in a chipper voice. "That's the way to look at things, just stand over there," she said pointing at a slightly raised platform "and I'll start taking your measurements while you go through that magazine" William replied with a polite nod. As she said she took William's measurements as he looked through the magazine looking for anything that looked even remotely familiar to him eventually he stopped at a sleeveless gray jacket that caught his eye. “Did you find something Darling?” Rarity asked. "I think so it most certainly has my attention if nothing else this sleeveless gray jacket, I think I wore something like this a lot." He said unsure of himself. "A travel vest, not many wear them but very useful. I could easily make one if you like," She said, "I be more than pleased to do so." “Oh, I don’t know just because it sticks out to me doesn’t mean much it might be nothing too important and even if it is I couldn't I really don't think I should go spending Forester's bits on something I’m not sure about but thank you all the same Rarity. Thank you for your time I only wish I could remember what about your shop drew me to it in the first place.” William said upset he couldn’t remember anything new. “You’ll start to remember something eventually darling I’m sure of it just take your time and be patient but promise me something won’t you?” Rarity said looking saddened. He looked at her quizzical. “Uhm, if I can sure.” "Let others help you I know that you might not like the idea but right now you're in no condition to help yourself and even if you were you can't just go asking everypony if they recognize you or not it take to long. I'm not saying that what you're doing isn't admirable it is but everypony just wants you to focus on getting better and you can’t rightfully do that if your worry about the small things.” She said and she was right. “I promise to try, you're right Rarity it just is all new to me quite literally and while I realize that I do need help that doesn't mean I'm going to abuse those who offer their help to me especially those who I consider my friends," He thought for a moment. "And if I can be so bold I hope I can call you one as well?" “Oh, I know you wouldn’t but why do you want me to be you friend darling I haven’t done much not that I don’t want to that is?” Rarity asked. "You helped a complete stranger and you gave me that sound advice I do need to let others help me even if I don't like relying on others," William said with a smile. "I should get going I still have to get to somewhere I'm supposed to meet somepony.” “Then I’ll let you go then and yes William I’ll be happy to be your friend just make sure you never lose that golden heart of yours.” Rarity said opening the door for him. "Thanks, Rarity and I'll try not to I hope to see you again." William said stepping out ‘golden heart why do I like the sound of that?’ Author's notes Sorry this took so long I got sick then had to get a new charger for my computer and couldn't finish till the end of the month and I forgot to make an image to go with the chapter I'll do my best to make the next chapter by the end of the month btw the next chapter should be the last P.O.V of William chapter hope everypony is excited so till then Keep being 20% cooler no keep reading how come I can't just say it myself without some pony interrupting.
