Have you ever read a fanfic before? I have, tons of them in fact. The good, the bad and all in between ranging from strange to creepy to heartwarming to plain trollish from hundreds of fandoms.
Oh! Forgive me, where are my manners? My name is Vanessa, I’m twenty nine years old and I’m a Brony.
And I’m currently in Equestria in the form of a seventy meter high gargantuan metallic monster after buying a plushie (of that same monster) from an odd figurine store I just happened to walk into half an hour ago.
How strange…I’ve read many Human in Equestria fics and I always wanted to go to Equestria like in most of those stories. I got my wish come true but not in the way I wanted, it happened like in one of those Displaced fics that are around. The worst part is that I knew from the instant I entered the store out of curiosity that I didn’t belong in there.
So you may be wondering, why did I bought that plushie if my common sense yelled at me to run out? Simple, the plushie. Once I saw it I knew it had to be mine. You see, I was, and still am, a huge nerd for MMO’s. And when I saw a plushie from one of my favorite MMO’s that haves my favorite boss of all time I knew it had to be mine no matter what.
Blinded by me greed I took the plushie, turned around to pay for it, the world went black and everything tasted purple for a moment and then….here I am looking at a tiny distant Canterlot from afar...in the body of Lord Alpha Clockworks from Fly For Fun. Now, who the heck is Lord Alpha Clockworks? Well, Lord Alpha Clockworks was, when I still played FlyFF, one of the strongest monsters around and a special boss that only appeared when you managed killed Clockworks: a smaller and weaker version, with a one percent chance to actually show up.
For you to understand my standing let me tell you that Lord Alpha Clockworks is a large, majestic, mechanical, spider-like machine that has a red copper color and has a beautiful sun marking (or is it a tattoo?) laid across his visage like some kind of face. It’s left arm is a freaking gigantic sword while the right is a cannon that fires meteors. From the center of it’s face it can fire a giant laser of death and his powerful stomps make the earth tremble with his strength and sheer weight.
Did I mention it can also fly? Because it can also fly.
Do I have to explain myself more as to why I love this guy?
Getting back to my blessing, yes, I said blessing. I’m in the body of my favorite evil boss monster in the land I only dreamed to be in; if that’s not a blessing I don’t know what it is. I lived alone, had no pets and while I had plenty of friends, some familiars and a good bank account I don’t care if I never go back. In fact I wish not to go back.
Still, there lies the problem of how is a seventy meter tall, majestic machine of doom going to interact and make friend with the ponies and creatures of this world I’ve come to love? Will they run in fear and try to destroy me or will they try to accept me despite my awesometastic presence? Is Celestia addicted to cake and is Luna a gamer? I hope they have good video games. I’ll have to figure out how to play them if they do.
Am I even in the same Equestria or in some sort of alternative universe? Hope it's not one of those creepy ones. Am I here to be a heroine or a villain?
I grinned….or I would if I had a mouth, I do have a speaker so I’m not mute at least.
“Well,” I began, my thundering metallic rasping slightly feminine voice rumbling all around me. “There’s only one way to find out.”
I took a step with one of my front legs; the earth trembled and birds flew from the forest below me. Gotta figure out how to fly later. My trip to Canterlot, and in Equestria, had begun.
No matter what happens I will enjoy my stay here.
“Ponies beware, for good or bad, Lord Alpha Clockworks is here to stay!”
*******Canterlot Castle at the same time*****
“Inform the princesses that the strange form is moving and making it’s way here,” a guard pony watching the incoming red figure in the distance said.
“What is that thing?”
“How far away is it? Looks kind of big from here.”
“Do you think it’s a monster?”
“Should we call Princess Twilight for help?”
“.....Just in case.”
“Did that thing stoppe---That thing just leaped”
“That had to be a four hundred meter leap at least!”
The regiment of royal guard went silent feeling a slight tremor when the creature landed. They all gasped and just then Princess Celestia walked into the observatory’s balcony. They all bowed as Celestia took a quick look on the telescope.
“Whatever it is,” Celestia began before taking another look through the telescope. “It has my cutie mark on its face.”
“Thou know this creature, sister?” Luna asked walking to her side and taking a look through the telescope.
“I’m afraid I do not, Luna.”
“What must we do, Princess Celestia?” the guard at her side asked.
“Alert the rest of the Guard to be ready for anything, I shall face this creature myself if needed,” she glanced at Luna and both sisters nodded. “Also call for Twilight, just in case,” the guard bowed and left.
“Sister, what does the presence of such a creature possibly mean?”
Celestia looked at the approaching being with narrowed eyes.
“I don’t know.”
