A loud knock on the door causes Spike to open his eyes from his peaceful slumber, He groans as he rolls over on his bed and glances around his simple room in the castle of harmony or friendship or whatever the castles title is. Because his old room got destroyed by Tirek Spike's room is basically empty and matches the other rooms of the castle in design. Another knock on the door causes Spike to sit up in bed and rub his eyes, he throws his blanket off his small body and swings his feet over the edge of the bed. He's about to doze of again when the knocks come a third time. Still half asleep he quickly but still sluggishly makes his way to the door. The knocks keep coming every time Spike almost asleep on his way to the door. When he arrives at the door he turns the handle and opens it slowly.
"Good morning Spikey Wikey." Twilight says, beaming at him with a Pinkie Pie sized smile on her face. Spike's eyes widen slightly but are still less then half lidded. Spikey Wikey?
"Twilight do you know what time it is?" Spike asks closing his eyes and rubbing them with his claws. Twilight's smile doesn't waver but her eyes dart about quickly as if searching for the answer. Her eyes focus back on Spike beaming like before.
"About two thirty am." Twilight says happily, Spike puts his claw up to his face and sighs heavily.
"Okay Twi what's got ya freaking out now." Spike groans lazily followed by a big yawn, Twilights smile just gets bigger.
"Well Sugar Cube I believe you mixed up some books in the library, so you need to come reorganize a section or two." Twilight says with a bright smile and a farmers accent, Spike just stares at her with a frown on his face.
" Can't this wait till morning?" Spike asks hanging his head.
"No Spike the princess will be up in the morning we have to do it now." Twilight says a bit of urgency entering her voice. Spike sighs, there's no arguing with Twilight when Celestia is involved.
"Okay let's go." Spike groans, is Twilight's smile could get bigger if it would have.
"Alright let's go!" Twilight nearly shouts, as she begins hopping down the hallway like Pinkie Pie. Spike just stares at his bouncing friend in confusion as he lumbers his way down the hall. It takes a little longer to get to the library then Spike remembers it might be the fact that Twilight doesn't seem to know where she's going. Spike just shrugs, after all he doesn't remember the layout of their new home either. Soon the two of them enter the library Spike looks around the Library marveling at how similar it looks to his old house. After a couple of seconds he glances up at Twilight, she's just staring at him with that never ending smile, she glances between him and the shelves of books as if she's excepting him to do something, He just blinks at her in confusion.
"What do you want me to do Twilight?" Spike asks in a dry voice before giving her a big yawn. Twilight gestures her head toward the books. "Yeah I got that but which ones am I fixing?" Twilight gasps in realization.
"Oh well I need you to make sure that the summoning tomes volume one through six are in the right place." She says her smile never faltering as she gestures her hoof at the shelves. Spikes eyes widen a bit more at this.
"Why do you need those none of the summoning spells work anymore?" Spike says scratching the back of his head. "Well except the one to summon Discord." Twilight's right eye twitches at the comment.
"I don't need them Spikey I just need you to make sure their in the right place." Twilight says, her eye continues to twitch, as she grinds her teeth, but continues to smile. Spike looks scared as he's seen Twilight look this manic before, now fully awake he runs off to a section of the library Twilight follows quickly behind no longer hopping. Spike looks through a big book labeled index and then runs over to a different part of the library and starts combing through the shelves and stops and then scratches his head.
"Um Twilight all six volumes are right here, where there suppose to be." Spike gestures toward six books on a shelf all by themselves, their colored Blue, Red, Yellow, Pink, White, and Black. Suddenly the black book is surrounded by a green magic, and is lifted into the air as Twilight begins laughing evilly. Spike looks at her his eyes full of concern and fear, Twilights happy if a bit creepy smile has turned to a sinister grin, and her bright wide eyes are now narrowed and full of malice. Suddenly green fire engulfs Twilight as she continues laughing her voice distorting, just like her body, to that of Queen Chrysalis. Her piercing eyes seem to be burning a hole in Spikes soul, she glances at the book now floating next to her and then back at Spike with a smug grin joining her fiery gaze. Spike's mouth is gaping open in horror, sweat running down his entire body as his eyes start to water, he slowly raises a hand up in the air.
"You'll nev-" Spike is cut off as Chrysalis swings the book down at him and everything goes black as it makes contact with his skull.
Hours Later
"Alright Spike what happened?" Twilights asks her face hovering inches above Spikes face. Spike clutches the large bump on his head and laughs nervously.
"Promise you won't be mad?." Spikes says with a guilty grin on his face. Twilight narrows her eyes at him.
Hours Earlier In A Hidden Cave.
"Yes! That was even easier then I thought it'd be!" Chrysalis yells as she teleports into a large cavern full of supplies and changelings, the drones all hop back at the sudden surprise. One drone that is a bit larger then the others and one of the few changelings that have hair on their heads steps forward toward the Queen and bows upon getting close enough.
"Then the information we collected was helpful ?" The changeling says his red cobweb hair moving slightly as he straightens up, Chrysalis looks down at this changeling her grin dropping slightly.
"No you fool it was all my perfect acting that fooled that dumb dragon, although you're sure Twilight is the one that bounces around and says darling all the time right, Commander Moth?" Chrysalis says raising her eyebrow at Moth, Moth seems to glance around nervously at the question.
"Um yes your majesty, I... I think so." Commander Moth says avoiding eye contact with his queen, Chrysalis doesn't seem to notice his hesitance as she let's a out a big sigh. Oh our spy network has been very poor since the ponies defeated us in Canterlot, for all I know I could've be acting like one of Twilight friends, I don't really remember how she acted at the wedding, only what she looked like. I'm glad that Spike didn't seem to catch on when I was getting annoyed there at the end, Maybe the princess actually acts like that some times? Oh well. that doesn't matter now, I have the book, time to get to work. Chrysalis gestures with her hoof and drones all buzz about excitedly grabbing supplies and moving objects around, as Chrysalis walks slowly to the center of the cavern flipping through pages of her book. She places the book on a podium that some drones just moved in front of her, she continues flipping frowning at every page as she goes.
"I wish that damn dragon wasn't telling the truth, any of these summoning spells would be very helpful." Commander Moth takes notice at his queens annoyance.
"What do you mean my Queen?" Commander Moth asks buzzing into the air to get a better look at the spell book. "Why wouldn't these spells work."
"Well my dear Commander everything in this book is either sealed away by magic we can't break or has been dead for far to long to revive." Chrysalis says nonchalantly, casually flipping through the second half of the book. Moth's ears perk up at her answer.
"Revive? Your Highness?" Moth asks raising an eyebrow at his queen, she chuckles lightly.
"Yes Commander if something has powerful enough energy and you can grab onto it's soul before it departs to the afterlife you can revive certain magically creatures." Chrysalis explains nearing the end of the book. "Lucky for me the being I wish to summon is suppose to be very powerful and his soul should still be floating around our plane of existence."
"Oh I see, and your sure it's wise to revive a powerful being you've never met?" Moth inquires looking rather nervous. Chrysalis glares at him out of the corner of her eye, sweat forms on Moth's forehead.
"Need I remind you commander that I just faced off against a god yesterday?" Chrysalis turns her head so she can give Moth the death stare, Moth floats back town to the ground and bows his while walking away apologizing repeatedly. Chrysalis turns back to the book flipping to the last page and smiling. Ah here he is. Chrysalis looks to her drones and nods her head they all begin flying around quickly grabbing supplies and drawing strange symbols on the cave floor in chalk. Chrysalis takes her position in front of the circle drawn on the floor and gives a toothy grin.
"Your Majesty can just one pony really preform this kind of spell by themselves." Moth says his voice uncertain, Chrysalis looks back at him and he flinches but then relaxes when he sees her eyes are not full of anger and her smile almost seems happy. Chrysalis gives him a light chuckle.
"My dear Commander, I am not but one pony, I am the Queen of the changelings, we are a hive mind, therefore I am thousands of ponies all at once I can cast this spell easily." Chrysalis let's out a triumphant laugh and the drones all cheer along with her, Moth smiles at his queen but is still unsure. Chrysalis lowers her horn and touches the chalk circle, eight drones run up and pour different powders around the edge of the circle each one evenly spaced from the next. Chrysalis begins chanting in a low voice, the words (if they even are words) cause shivers to run down Moth's spine. A green flame sparks into life at the tip of Chrysalis's horn, She lifts her head and takes a step back as the fire begins to spread around the chalk circle igniting the powders around the edge as it goes the eight powders each ignite into different colored flames, red, yellow, blue, purple, brown, white, orange, and pink all join the original green flame Chrysalis had created. The nine flames all begin moving around the edge of the circle, like train cars on a circle track, soon the flames begin blending together, all the different colored flames fuse into one black ring of fire that continues to move around the edge of the circle. With more distorted chanting, Chrysalis's horn begins to glow and the black flames begin spreading to the chalk lines that make up the pattern inside the ring of black fire. Soon all of the chalk is aflame with the black fire, drones back away in fear of its heat but Chrysalis seems unaffected by it. Another distorted verse, again accompanied by Chrysalis's horn glowing, this time the flames rise up to Chrysalis's height and then they fold inward forming a bubble of black flame, the fire continues to rage as it swirls inside the bubble. Suddenly a horrible sound, like scraping a knife across a blackboard while baboons shriek in a jungle, echoes through the cave many drones cringe, others hold their hoofs to their heads and Moth flinches sweat returning to his brow. The Queen seems unaffected at the noise as both her smile and eyes widen. Now we've got him.". Suddenly the flames stop moving and seem to harden into stone, the sound ends as abruptly as it had started. The changelings all gaze at the black sphere that now sits in front of them, the cave goes silent as they wait to see what happens next. After about a minute the drones begin looking around quizzically while Chrysalis continues beaming at the sphere in the center of the cave. Commander Moth steps toward his Queen and decides to be the first to speak.
"Did it wo-" Commander Moth gets interrupted as a large crack suddenly appears near the top of the bubble, black smoke begins pouring out of it. All the changelings gasp in surprise, and Chrysalis's smile widens.
Meanwhile at that same time in Discord's Dimension and Celestia's Bed Chamber
Discord sit's up in his bed suddenly awaken by a giant tip in the balance of magic, he gazes out his dimensional window toward the night sky of Equestria, as miles away Princess Celestia does the same in her own bed (except a normal window not a dimensional one.)
"Well that can't be good." They both say at the same time.
Back In the Summoning Cave
Cracks continue forming in the black sphere, as they do the cave begins rumbling and the smoke pouring out of the sphere covers the cave's ceiling, suddenly the rumbling stops as the sphere stops spewing smoke, as it clears the changelings can see that the sphere is covered in cracks so small that it doesn't look possible for the sphere to hold its shape. The top of the sphere begins slowly disintegrating , but suddenly a deep sinister chuckle comes from within the sphere, the black smoke covering the ceiling quickly pours into the top of the still disintegrating sphere, as the last of the smoke enters the sphere the chuckle rises into full blown laughter. The cave begins shaking violently as the sphere begins glowing with black energy, the drones all cower retreating into the corners of the cave. The black energy explodes outward destroying the sphere and sending crystalline shrapnel flying through the cave, many drones are hit, some only get a scrap while others receive gaping wounds in their legs or wings. Chrysalis just stands there as the shrapnel fly's past her, the same sinister grin on her face since the ritual had started. Chrysalis gazes into the remaining black cloud as it fades from existence a lone silhouette stands in the center of the cloud, it's pony shaped but is a bit larger then a normal pony, not as tall as Chrysalis herself, but still an imposing size for a pony. As the smoke fades complete Chrysalis smiles smugly at her completed summoning, The being is a dark grey pony wearing black armor on his legs and chest, his mane is black as night, his unicorn horn curved and red slightly covered by the crown he wears, his pupils are red as blood the whites of his eyes are a neon green. Chrysalis looks at the strange purple streams of energy that seem to be coming from the corners of his eyes, and the sharp vampire like fangs coming from both his top and bottom rows of teeth. The stallion narrows his eyes at Chrysalis and bears his fangs at her, Chrysalis returns his toothy grin.
"Well hello to you too." Chrysalis says jokingly, waving a hoof at the Stallion.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?" The Mysterious stallion asks his voice deep and menacing, his eyes narrowing at her.. Chrysalis gives the stallion a sinister smile and then taps her hoof on the ground, fifty changeling drones and Commander Moth fly behind the queen and bow respectfully. Chrysalis turns and walks toward the entrance to the cave, when she reaches the doorway she turns and looks back at the stallion with half lidded eyes.
"Well Sombra if you can defeat my little welcoming party I might just fill you in." Chrysalis says putting her hoof up to her mouth and winking at Sombra . He flinches at her strange behavior but shakes his head and turns to look at the battalion in front of him, the changelings all look ready to pounce and the larger red-haired one in front seems to show anger but a hint of fear, Ah a leader changeling a rare few that are capable of emotion unlike the average drone. Sombra flash's an evil smile at the leader. I'll enjoy breaking him
Suddenly the cave door closes removing the changeling queen from Sombra's sight, as soon as that happens half of the battalion fire blasts from their horns at Sombra well the other half take to the sky and begin diving toward him. Sombra grunts as he throws up a shield of dark energy in front of him reflecting the energy blasts back at the casters, most get out of the way but three drones are still taken out by the volley. The twenty five drones in the air fly over the barrier and dive at him theirs hooves ready to connect with Sombra. Sombra raises a hoof and five black tendrils shoot out the shadows on the floor grabbing five of the changelings by the back hooves and flinging them into five of the changelings that had fired blasts earlier. Thirteen down thirty eight to go. Sombra dissolves into the shadows of the cave just as the remaining twenty flying changelings crash into where he was standing, their hooves crack the ground with the force of the blow.
The changelings all begin looking around for their target, non of the changelings notice as one of Sombra's hooves extends out of the ground and grabs one of the changelings by the back leg, the changeling glances down at the touch, but is dragged into the ground before a scream can escape his lips. Sombra continues grabbing one changeling after another until the red leader changeling let's out loud shriek, suddenly all of the changelings ignite their horns immolating the entire room removing all shadows, as the shadows disappear several changeling bodies appear from the shadows and finally Sombra appears in the far corner coming out of the shadowy floor just before the light touches it. He stands there his fangs gleaming in the light, his mouth in a cruel smile.
"Thirty to go." Sombra laughs, his dark voice echoes through the cavern. He stands up on his hind legs and positions himself ready to attack, the red changeling leader follows suit standing up on his own hind legs, the drones remain on all fours. Sombra chuckles at the leader and then vanishes, appearing above two changelings he slams his fore hooves down on their heads, their heads collide with the floor cracking it, he flips forward flinging their bodies at two more changelings. Sombra leaps into the air as a green blast fly's by, it hits a near by changeling that had been about to attack Sombra, once in the air he slams his back hooves into two more changelings and then vanishes in thin air as an array of magical blast's fly by. He reappears a few feet in front of a large group of a dozen changelings, they all glare in his direction, he runs toward them and then leaps into the air spinning as he does so. He seems to collapse into a small black spiral that passes through the changeling group without causing any damage, once he's through he changes back and lands on the ground on all fours skidding to a stop. He glances back at the group of changelings, who look at him with raised eyebrows, he stomps his hoof on the ground and the changelings explode into a blast of dark energy. The remaining changelings dog pile on Sombra and begin swinging their hooves and blasting magic at the Stallion at the bottom of the pile. Suddenly a large black pillar shoots out of the pile, forming into Sombra's head on a large black neck. Giant Sombra begins thrashing and biting at the few remaining changelings, he swings his head and flings the last two into the cavern wall and then reverts to normal size. Giving a sigh at all the unconscious changeling bodies around him. Too easy. Suddenly he feels a sharp pain hit the back of his head snapping his neck forward so he is now looking at the ground, he turns his head to the side looking at his attacker, and almost laughs. There is the red changeling leader, in mid air with his left back hoof on the back of Sombra's head, Sombra warps a distant away so that the two are standing facing each other once more. Again they both rear up on their hind legs.
"Looks like I forgot about you little red." Sombra says grinning smugly, the Changeling Leader just glares at Sombra. The leader takes a step forward but stops when he notices Sombra raise his left hoof into the air. Sombra slams his left hoof into the once again shadowy floor, his hoof seems to sink into the floor like clear black water, his hoof comes back out stretching up and hitting the leader changeling under his chin sending him bending backwards as he fly's through the air, as the leader fly's backward he's suddenly looking back into Sombra's eyes, his own eyes widen.
"Too. Fast." The leader says, right before Sombra delivers a flurry of punches with his fore hooves and then spin kicks the leader into the cavern wall. The leader Changeling tries to dislodge himself from the wall but fails to move, he glances up from his wall based prison when he hears hoof beats walking towards him. Sombra reaches out and grabs The Leader by the neck and hoists him into the air, wincing in pain the leader gazes down at the large shadowy figure holding him. Sombra flashes a toothy grin as his eyes seem to burn through the changeling's soul. Suddenly a large blade In the shape of Sombra's horn appears over Sombra's shoulder. The Changeling leader's eyes open in terror as he sees more of those blades appearing all around him, he's so terrified he doesn't even notice that Sombra has let go of his neck and he is now being held in mid air by a black aura as Sombra walks away. Sombra stops a few feet away and his smile turns into a frown.
"Zero" Sombra utters, as all the blades plunge inward at their target, causing a muffled cry of pain, green blood begins falling from the body hovering in the air. Sombra glances back a look of pure joy in his eyes as the Changeling leaders light goes out leaving the cave almost completely black, all that can be heard is the dripping of blood and a cruel laugh.
Sombra turns as a new source of light suddenly appears almost right in front of him, he gazes up at the Changeling Queen her eyes shining from the glow on her horn, her mouth in a mischievous smile on her face as she looks down at Sombra. Sombra looks slightly to the left and can see a large black book with the number six written on the binding floating right next to her. He gazes back at the Queen narrowing his eyes at her.
"Now what do y-" Sombra is cut off as Chrysalis swings the book down hard, everything goes black when it connects with his skull.
Three hours after Sombra is summoned , local time: 6:27 AM. Fluttershy's Cottage.
Discord stands outside Fluttershy's front door his lion paw quivering in the air a couple inches from the door, Discord seems torn, literally as his head is literally spilt in two the half with the big eye and antler, looks over at the half with the spiral horn, small eye and large fang.
"We need to talk to her as soon as possible." The Antler half says, crossing the eagle talon across his chest.
"But we don't want to wake her." The Horn half replies, pointing the lion paw at the other half.
"But this is really important, besides it's not like she'll be mad at us." The antler half retorts rolling his eye.
"It's not about her being mad at us it's about interrupting her sleep, she deserves to rest." The Horned half says, he then looks away. "Besides she's really cute when she's sleeping."
"And how would you know that?" The Antler one asks raising an eyebrow.
"Oh don't give me that we're the same person you know how I know that." The horned one glares at his other half, the Antler one brightens up.
"I got an idea why don't we just leave a note on her nightstand?"
"Oh yes good idea that'll work best I think." Both halves of Discord give a pleased smile at this idea, Discord places a hand on each side of his head and slams them back together. Discord looks up at Fluttershy's house a smile on his face, He snaps his finger and he suddenly appears in the middle of Fluttershy's room. Discord takes a second to look around the room a larger dresser in the top right corner the door to the room in the bottom right corner, the bottom left corner holds a folding door leading to the closet, he then turns his attention to the left wall where the bed is, some light from the rising sun has begun shining into the room onto the beautiful mare sleeping in her bed, her silky pink mane seems to glow from the light of the sun as it cascades down her back as she lays with her back to Discord. Discord quietly floats over to the side of her bed and he lowers his body so he is hovering at eye level with the sleeping mare. He flinches as she suddenly rolls over in bed, he breathes a sigh of relief as he sees her eyes are still closed. He gazes at her as her body lowly rises and falls with each of her gentle breathes, her pink mane frames her face perfectly as the sun shines on her pale yellow fur. Discord gently reaches toward her and brushes some of the hair out of her face and behind her ear, a small smile appears on her face. Discord moves to pull his talon away when Fluttershy's hooves sudden grab his hand and pull him toward her surprised by this Discord gets flung forward his head landing on the bed right next to Fluttershy's face. He looks down at her hooves squeezing his arm tightly, a smile across her lips. Fluttershy moves his talon over her body so it is draped across her back, Discord blushes as she seems to snuggle up to his face. He looks down at his talon gently wrapped around her small body he gently squeezes her, his eyes widen as he hears a small chuckle, he glances back up at Fluttershy's face her left hoof is up to her face trying to stifle a giggle. Her eyes pop open revealing her shining pools of teal, Discord's eyes widen as a blush appears on both their faces.
"Good morning Discord." Fluttershy says chuckling slightly avoiding his gaze, Discord just stares at her.
"H-how long have you been awake?" Discord asks his eyes wide.
"Since you were outside my front door." Fluttershy says giving him a big smile.
"What?" Discord asks staring at her.
"Well you weren't exactly being quiet you know." Fluttershy says, giggling. "Besides I got up at six this morning."
"W-what then why were you in bed?" Discord asks raising an eyebrow at his best friend, Fluttershy gives him a sly grin.
" I heard you say you didn't want to wake me up so I thought I'd get in bed before you teleported into my room."
"You knew I was gonna teleport up here?" Fluttershy nods. "How?
"Well I'm a very light sleeper and your teleports aren't exactly-" Fluttershy pauses and blushes "Silent."
"W-wha-" Discord stammers as thoughts of other times he's... uh... totally not spied on Fluttershy while she's sleeping. Discords entire body turns red in embarrassment. He just looks at Fluttershy who somehow looks more embarrassed then Discord, even though her entire body can't change colors. Fluttershy looks around nervously and then stares at Discord with a raised eyebrow.
"S-so why are you h-here this morning?" Fluttershy asks her eyes shining in the morning sun. Discords blush turns a deeper shade of red, as he averts his gaze, then his blush begins to dull as he remembers the actual reason he came here is nothing to be embarrassed about.
"Fluttershy we need to talk." Discord says removing his arm from around her and sitting up on the side of the bed. Fluttershy pouts slightly at the removal of the comforting appendage, but a smile returns to her face as she sit's next to Discord on the side of the bed.
"What do you want to talk about?" She chirps looking up at her friend with a smile. Discord returns her gaze but doesn't smile instead he frowns, Fluttershy's smile falters at the look, as concern over takes her joy.
"I have to leave for awhile." Discord says looking away, Fluttershy's eyes widen and tears form in the corners of her eyes.
"Wha-what no you can't leave!" Fluttershy nearly shouts, Discord flinches at her sudden out burst, he rises a claw to speak. "I know that things have been kinda weird but I'm sure everyone has already forgiven you for taking that big risk with Tirek and all but that doesn't mean you have to-"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait." Discord cuts in placing his paw over her mouth so he can speak. "What do you mean risk with Tirek?"
"Well that plan you had to defeat Tirek, I thought it was really risky especially when he stole your magic too, but I knew it would all work out in the end, your plans always do." Fluttershy says after moving Discord's paw off her mouth, she glances between him and the floor as she talks, Discord just stares at her with his mouth gaping open.
"Plan?" Discord asks trying to seem confused but his smaller eye twitches slightly. How- how does she know? I never told her.
"Well yeah I mean you gave that hint about how to open the chest, right before we used it to defeat Tirek, and you're the one who gave Twilight the last key object. Most importantly you can sense magical imbalances so you would have been made aware of what Tirek was doing from the very beginning." Fluttershy speaks nonchalantly as if everything she says is completely obvious, Discord's eye continues to twitch.
"Y-you really noticed all that."
"Yes."
"And you trusted me the whole time?"
"Of course."
"B-but what about when you cried when I 'betrayed' you?"
"I knew you thought your plan wouldn't work if Tirek didn't believe you had actually betrayed us, so I made sure he did."
"Y-you-"
"Although the one thing I'm still not sure about was you losing your magic, was that part of the plan?"
"If I hadn't lost it Twilight would've defeated Tirek in her super charged state."
"Oh then no one would've gotten their magic back."
"And Twilight would've had to personally guard him, because no prison could've held him."
"Oh I see."
"Look I know the whole thing was risky and stu-" Fluttershy bonks him on the forehead. "Ow"
"Stupid doesn't begin to describe it, you could've been killed, Equestria could've been lost, why didn't you just defeat Tirek when the Princesses first asked you to?" Fluttershy asks her eyes pleading for an answer, Discord shy's under her gaze, he turns away and sighs deeply.
"If I defeated him when I first found him then the ponies he'd already drained would never have gotten their magic back." Discord wincing waiting for another smack, but instead he hears a giggle, confused he turns around to see Fluttershy with a smile on her face.
"I knew it!" Fluttershy proclaims jumping up and wrapping her hooves around Discord's neck. "You're such a sweetheart."
"Th-thank you." Discord stammers out, he slowly returns Fluttershy's hug. I can't believe This mare, how did she do it, I know Fluttershy is no idiot but she managed to piece together my entire plan, not even Twilight or Celestia were able to figure it out how did she-. Discord turns his head as Fluttershy begins happily nuzzling the fur on Discord's neck while continuing to giggle. Discord tightens his grip on her and nuzzles the top of her head in return.Of course she figured it out she actually likes me, she trusts me. He pushes Fluttershy away so he can gaze at her beautiful eyes sparkling in the sun light. He smiles at her with half-lidded eyes and she returns his gaze. Her eyes then snap open as she remembers something.
"Oh, right I forgot." Fluttershy's happy expression returns to one of concern. "Why are you leaving?" Discord blinks at her, then it's his turn to remember what they had been talking about.
"Oh right I forgot, I have something really important I need to take care of."
"What is it?"
"I don't want to worry you it's best if you-" A pale yellow hoof makes contact with his fore head once more. "Ow"
"Tell me or I'll worry more." Fluttershy says this almost like it's a threat, Discord can't help but laugh at the thought that it actually was a threat.
"Ok, so when I fought Chrysalis yesterday she asked me I'd join her in trying to take over Equestria." Fluttershy tilts her head in confusion raising an eyebrow. "Yeah I know right, she's got to upgrade her spy network. Anyway when I obviously told her no that's when we fought each other, it was pretty awesome actually you should try it sometime. Any-who after our fight I may have jokingly told her to find someone else to work with her." Fluttershy's eyes widen.
"Oh my Celestia, who did she recruit." Discord marvels at how fast Fluttershy catches on to where he's going with stuff, most people need him to finish first before understanding what he means.
"I'm not sure yet. That's why I need to go stop her and her new teammate before this get's out of hand." Discord says finally remembering he's still holding Fluttershy in the air he lowers her back down to the bed.
"Your sure you can handle this?" Fluttershy asks, her worry reflecting in her eyes.
"Yeah I got this." Discord gives his smuggest grin at his friend, she gives a sigh of relief and looks down at her hooves a smile on her face, while looking down she fails to notice Discord is crossing his talon fingers.
"Well thank you for letting me know." She looks up at Discord, concern still in her eyes, Discord looks down at his friend and snaps his fingers and a small black box appears in his lion paw.
"Here I got you a little something, so while I'm gone you can relax."
"How so?"
"When you wear this." Discord opens the box and pulls out a long sliver chain with a smooth golden ring hanging loosely on the chain. Fluttershy's eyes widen as her cheeks turn a deep crimson. Discord seems to ignore her embarrassment and places the chain around her neck the ring hangs in the middle of her chest. "You'll always have a piece of me with you."
"Discord do you know what this-" Fluttershy's blush becomes even redder, Discord gives her a gentle smile.
"Promise you won't take it off. ok?"
Fluttershy just nods her whole face has turned red.
"I'm serious Fluttershy you can't take it off ever, even if Celestia herself orders you too, even if I tell you too." Fluttershy looks up at him surprised. "Only you will know when to take it off okay? You have to promise me."
"I-I-I." Suddenly a sly smile appears on her face, although the smile only seems to make her face redder. When she continues her voice is low but confident. "on one condition."
"What?" Discord looks at her with raised eyebrows, Fluttershy looks at him with determination.
"I want you to help me go back to sleep."
"What?"
"You woke me up so the least you can do is l-lay down with me until I fall back asleep." If her face could get any redder it would have.
"B-but I can't-" He stops as Fluttershy begins pulling the necklace up around her head. Oh she is good. "Okay, okay, just please leave it on." Fluttershy looks pleased and lowers the necklace back down around her neck, she lays down on her bed and Discord coils his serpentine body around her, Her head resting on his chest listening to his heart beat. What's the worst that can happen if I'm a little late fighting those two. Discord looks at Fluttershy's contented smile, and slowly closes his own eyes. Probably something really bad, but I officially don't care right now.
Changeling Hive Throne Room: Local Time: 6:30 AM
Sombra gazes around the room, it looks exactly like the throne room in Canterlot but changeling-ier, with black spikes, green goo and lot's of cobwebs. Sombra then turns his attention to the queen sitting in the throne who is currently ignoring him talking to a drone, the one who summoned him, then immediately sent a battalion after him, sure Sombra had defeated them easily, Hell I even left most of them alive. But something was off, that magic book had temporarily knocked him out, a feeling he has not felt in a long time, and when he had awoken not long later he was laying on the floor of the throne room in the spot he now stood. The queen had been sitting in the throne then too, but they haven't spoken a word to each other since he woke hours ago. Sombra looked down at his hooves for whatever reason he could not move them forward, hell he couldn't even speak. Sombra looks back up at the Queen, the drone she had been talking to was now gone, Sombra glares at her. Why can't I launch any spells? I can't even move, well except my neck.
"Oh will you stop glaring and bow already." Sombra is surprised by the Queens sudden words and raises an eyebrow at her.
"What?"
"You are a guest in my kingdom and you don't even have the manners to bow before the Queen?" The Queen says dryly, she then shrugs. "I guess dead people just forget their manners."
"What?" Sombra's eyes widen at her last statement.
"Is that all you can say." The Queen sighs. "I was hoping my new compatriot who be more of a conversationalist, changelings only have so much to talk about." The Queen looks down at her guest, he's just staring at her with a wide confused look on his face, she returns his puzzled look.
"What did you say about me?" His face doesn't change as he speaks.
"Oh you mean the compatriot thing well that's why I brought you here so you can -"
"No the thing before that." The Queen looks at him in annoyance.
"Ok you mean the part where I said you have no manners which I realize is more true then I first thought." Sombra groans in anger, rolling his eyes.
"I meant the part about me being dead!" Sombra shouts at the Changeling Queen, She looks at him with wide eyes, then a smile begins to form on her face, that quickly changes into a large grin, right before she bursts into laughter. Sombra growls at her, bearing his teeth, but then stops when he realizes that he's been talking. Wait I couldn't talk until she talked to me first, Why? The Queen stops laughing wiping a tear from her eye.
"I suppose I should explain a few things huh?" She asks crossing her right hind leg over her left and leans back in her throne.
"Yes you should." The queen smiles at him.
"Bow." Sombra's eye twitches.
"What?"
"Bow and I will answer any questions you have." She shrugs, her smile turning smug.
"I am the Lord of Darkness and Shadows I do not bow to anyone." He glares at the Queen, she places her hoof on her face and sighs.
"You are just as stubborn as mother use to say." Sombra blinks at this Wait I've only ever met one changeling queen before and she only had one royal child. So this must be...
"Chrysalis?" Chrysalis looks up at the sound of her name, she gives him a toothy grin.
"It's about time you recognized me."
"So you are Arachna's daughter."
"Yep that's me." Chrysalis nods happily, then her face sours. "Now bow your head already so we can get on with this." Sombra grumbles but then quickly bobs his head up and down. Suddenly he can feel his legs once more and stumbles as his right fore hoof collapses under him. Damn thing fell asleep. Sombra growls as he hears Chrysalis laughing once more.
"What the hell just happened?" Sombra asks as he turns his leg into shadows and then reforms it effectively waking it up.
"Alright I'll tell ya the rules, every time you enter my throne room you must bow within five minutes or your body and magic will be paralyzed, also you can't talk from the moment you wake up until you hear the sound of my melodious voice." Chrysalis laughs at that and grins, she looks at Sombra whose horn his glowing black, she blinks as she notices that a blade in the shape of Sombra's horn is shaking in the air a few inches from her face, her grin turns into a smug smirk. "Oh yeah and you can't hurt me with your magic, or anything for that matter."
"Ho-how did you curse me so?" Sombra asks his blade vanishing into the shadows, Chrysalis's eyes now match her smug smile.
"Well when you revive someone from the dead you get to make a few rules, not a big deal really, I mean you do owe me your life now so a couple small rules shouldn't be too much of a problem." Chrysalis gestures with her hoof as she talks, punctuating each point.
"Revi-"
"What's the last thing you remember?" Sombra blinks, he taps his hoof to his chin and thinks back to before he showed up in that cave that Chrysalis had summoned him in. All he can remember is the blinding light and pain as the crystal heart... killed him. His eyes widen as the thought comes to him. I died. He glances at Chrysalis And she revived me? For what purpose?
"Why did you revive me?" Sombra asks raising his eyebrow.
"Well I need some help." Chrysalis stands up slamming her hooves into the ground, cracking the ground. "TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!" Sombra just stares at her and starts laughing, Chrysalis crosses her fore hooves and pouts at the Lord of Shadows. After awhile Sombra stops laughing a wipes a small black tear from his eye.
"Look I'd like to help you, hell I could use some help of my own considering I don't have an army of my own right now, and people who have been revived can't go out in the sun, and the forces of light have no doubt gotten stronger sense I've been dead, But..." Sombra snaps his mouth shut, Chrysalis pout turns into a smirk.
"But, what Sombra?" Chrysalis asks though half lidded eyes. Sombra's eyes dart around the room as if the throne room could provide some answer some reason he didn't have to-. Sombra blinks again and slaps himself in the face. There's really no reason not to team up with her, she just wants to use me for my power and vice versa, and maybe I can find some way out of her rules if I can see that book of hers.
"But nothing I'll join you." Chrysalis rises her hooves to her face and shakes them about and let's out a squeal like a school filly. Sombra blinks at her, Chrysalis blushes, while looking away, she lowers her hooves to her arm rests.
"Sorry it's just no one has ever joined me willingly before." Well this isn't exactly willingly but oh well.
"Anyway what all do we have to deal with exactly?" Sombra asks trying his best to ignore her outburst. Chrysalis gestures with her hoof and a drone fly's in and gives her a piece of paper.
"Luckily Captain Night Fly just returned an hour ago with all the info she could on our enemies. We have the six elements of Harmony who have gotten a power boost after defeating Tirek." Sombra raises an eyebrow and puts his hoof to his chin. " The two princesses obviously, the royal guards, don't have to worry about the crystal empire, and lastly.." Chrysalis crumbles the paper up and blasts it with her horn. "Discord!"
"Discord? Really?" Sombra taps his hoof on his chin." That does complicate things slightly."
"Slightly!? Now we have to deal with three godly powerful beings to deal with instead of two." Chrysalis shouts smashing the arm rests on her chair with a swing of her hooves.
"Don't worry Chrysalis I happen to know a certain centaur-type creature that'll be perfect for our little team." Sombra's eyes shine brightly, Chrysalis rises an eyebrow as Sombra starts laughing.
