The Word of Evil

A New Discovery

A mare wearing a safari outfit and an appearance of a dark grey and black mane and tail with a dark mud colored coat and a golden compass for a cutie mark was roaming the deep swamps of the Everfree Forest. She was Daring Do. A lone adventurer who keeps a rival with Ahuizotl and a publisher of the book franchise: Daring Do. She was a somepony under the name A.K. Yearling. Recently she had help from 6 different ponies (especially an Alicorn) to stop Ahuizotl's ritual to do anything that can tamper the sun. And with the help of those ponies--especially Rainbow Dash-- she has saved the ponies who was unknown to the scenario. Now that Ahuizotl's lollygaggin' is stopped for now, she still roams the Everfree for anything that will threat Equestria and maybe some new book ideas.

She planned an expedition all by herself to patrol the swamps. She recently found some weird patterns written on the ground. Unknown to that, she had a book plan and decided to bring a clipboard and pencil with her in some cases. She also noted some weird craters around and some wild scorch marks. Much looking like some dragon made a big mess using his fire breathing acts. But some occasions, when she inspects the marks, she was electrocuted by getting close contact with the black ruined terrain. Right now, she just left her home and wandered around the swamps for a bit.

'Since I checked my bookcase for any books with topics relating to those writings, maybe I'll take a visit in Canterlot. In the name of A.K. Yearling of course.' She thought, still working herself on those patterns. She assumed it was some foreign alien language since it had different drawings or appearance from others. Or maybe she even thought of anypony or any creature must be crazy or addicted to some drugs or some other health-affecting chemical making those stupid symbols. If it was, she wasted all that time for writing notes about it.

THUD!!

The thump made a shockwave that let Daring's hat jump upwards. Curious and unknown, she ran to the source of the shockwave. More and more thuds were either getting louder or wilder. She then heard the most strangest and most alien-like sound anypony or anything that they ever heard in history. The sounds switched to roars of some menacing and gigantic creature. Much more of a hydra or a Ursa Minor. Daring finally arrived at the scene, and the roars stopped as she got in time. She gasped at what she saw, quickly trembled in fear, she hid nearby a tree to see what was it. It was some tall thing that was made of metal. It was 33-foot tall, it stood on two legs, and had some sort of long blades of some sort. The blades were 7 in total, the tall menacing creature was standing on top of a dead hydra's head. On it's right hand, it's wrist had something spinning, afterwards the wrist transformed into a hand with 3 fingers. Luckily the adventurer was taking note of the appearance of the creature.

The metal creature then grabbed the dead hydra's head. The creature examined every single thing about it. Then something spoke out on creature. Daring heard the sounds and talking of some creature. The metal creature then placed his right hand on the side of it's head. More likely the position of it's ear. Daring
couldn't make out what it was saying, but when she heard somethings clearly, it was full of gibberish words. The metal creature then stopped, as it's head slightly too rned tail. It moved, and Daring must've thought she was compromised. She leaned and hid herself back in the tree. She was sweating, she was nervous, no-- she was scared.

Every other pony say that she was fearless, adventurous and undeniably, unquestionably, unstoppable. Maybe some of those words was right. But she was not fearless.

Everypony feels fear.

The metal footsteps gets closer and closer. The suspense was building up, but then it stopped. The metal sounds of footsteps stopped.

CRACK!!

The tree she hid on was ripped, all that was left was he stump. She gasped, and almost screamed. She looked up, revealing the rest of the metal creature. It carries the tree, then threw it like it was nothing. Daring lost balance on her hooves and crawled down in fear. Her hat fell off, and she was defenseless. The metal creature was staring right at her with it's evil red eyes. Now the sounds of it's footsteps sounded more alien. All of a sudden a cannon grew from it's chest. Then it aimed right at her.

What is this monster?!

She quickly ran for life, she tried to fly but nope. She couldn't, fear overwhelmed her, making her more scared. She was running for her entire life. One messup and it maybe over for her.

But not today.

A fraction of fear lost from her, the scared expression transitioned to determination. She wasn't giving up without a fight. She may be feared for some, she feels fear herself. Her speed of sprinting went faster. There was no time to look around, but she had to. She turned to look at the metal creature slowly walking towards her as it's pace catches up with her. She ran faster, and so did the metal giant. She and the metal monster was headed to a ravine. Making it clear that danger is close. She turned to her focus, the path. Only to see herself almost fall. But she didn't stop, she instantly leapt from the 10 feet gap, and thankfully, her wings assisted her this time. She smirked. As the metal creature stopped at it's track and deadpanned at Daring. The metal creature then gave a sign of laughter. But there wasn't. The creature then jumped a small height, and used it's blade to fly over to her side. Daring knew something was up, but when it started to fly towards her. She booked. Her speed of running was fast enough to lose the metal thing.

The adventurer was now out of sight, and she simply sighed in relief that she lived. Daring wouldn't want to know what other abilities it would hold, other than flying with it's blades on it's back and transforming it's wrist into some chainsaw.

She looked back at her paper, thankfully it was still there. And it also held the details she needed.

This will change the future with this knowledge.

This is a new discovery.

Rainbow was too busy from reading the latest Daring Do book, she got herself to read it until 4:58 in the morning. From time to time, she had to move places just because it was either itchy or cramped. Ending up on the couch snoring, while her right hoof was under the book's 2nd chapter.

KNOCK KNOCK!!

She didn't care. Too busy from sleeping.

....

Silence.

After some moments, she woke up. Rainbow rubbed her eyes, and felt her arms too weak. So she stretched them long, making a light snapping noise. She rubbed her eyes again and sat up. This time, she stretched her wings. She looked around, although her vision was slightly blurry.

"Where--.. how did I get here?" Noticing she wasn't her bed, she looked at her right. Only to look at her Daring Do book. "Oh." She mumbled. She glanced at her doorway, to see an envelope cased on the ground. She raised a brow, before leaving her couch and trotting towards the mail. She picked it up, and grinned at what she read.

To: Rainbow Dash

From: A.K. Yearling

She screamed joyfully, quickly opening the envelope and unrolled the parchment, she read what she had to say.

Her smile disappeared and turned her expression to worried.

She smacked a hoof on the table, enough force to also break the table or herself. Her friends were startled by her starting action. They backed up, and frowned.

"Read it!" She yelled angrily, Twilight quickly grabbed it with her magic, the letter was surrounded in a pink aura.

Rainbow Dash,

This is urgent, I need you and your friend's help. Please visit my shack in the forest. The earlier the better.

A.K Yearling.

"That's it?" Applejack raised her hooves in confusion.

"It is! And what ever might be could be really bad! Did she get hurt? Did she lose an idea for her books? Oh gosh please no!" Rainbow worriedly whined.

"Rainbow, we might not be sure wether this really might be urgent. But please keep calm, we'll visit her the first thing after we eat." Twilight declared, as they all smiled.

They were again in the forest, where they used the track to get to Daring Do's home. Or more likely A.K Yearling when they first assumed.

"There it is!" Twilight yelled, as the rest of the group looked where she pointed. At the rebuilt shack of Daring Do. "Come on!" She said, as they ran to the house.

The first thing they did was let Rainbow knock on the door. She was responded by Daring Do's outfit of A.K Yearling opening the door, she smiled and gestured them to come in. After doing that sign, they heard some mechanical transformation sound. Startled, they quickly entered the house.

Applejack closed and leaned on the door, as the mane 6 were looking at Daring Do.

"Daring Do! What was it that you needed?" Twilight asked, as the adventurer was taking off her incognito outfit.

"I think I found something alien."
