The Last Forgotten One

Prologue : A Race Of Two Races

The rain poured everywhere, my mane weighed my head down with the amount of water in it. I looked up at the trees. They seemed to have the desire to fall down on top of me from the weight of the rain. I shifted my gaze up to the rainclouds and squinted. There behind the clouds creating a luminous light was the moon. It seemed as if it was torturing the land with its night. A timber wolf howled in the distance. I turned my gaze to the bridge in front of me. The ropes attaching it to each side of the gorge were looking rather old and thin. I decided not to take my chance by crossing it by hoof. I spread my wings and soared across in a few flaps of my wings. I looked back across to the other side and saw the glow of unicorns horn casting a spell. I panicked. I pounced on the ropes attaching the bridge to my side. I fumbled with the ropes in my teeth, but eventually untied them.

“THERE HE IS!”

I looked back and saw the group of five unicorns hunting me. I sneered and open my mouth. The bridge fell towards the other side of the gorge. There were gasps from the unicorns. They tried to catch the bridge with a levitation spell, but the bridge just kept falling. The bridge reached the other side with a resounding crack. I started to chant a spell “May thou he thy for he thy thou for thou he thy may he thy thou for I will you may thou he thy for ye shall DIE!” The wind whistled and fog began to appear. The fog shrouded the unicorns. I listened to the yelps and howls for help from the unicorns. The unicorn’s cries for help shifted into screams of terror as a pack of timberwolves started to chase them. I laughed. My laugh was carried through the forest and down to the local town. My laugh put fear into hearts of whomever hears it.

CRRRRRAAACCKKK!!!

The thunder brought me back from my laugh of terror. “I hope this rain will let up soon.” I groaned. I looked away from the fog I had created. “I hope there is some shelter nearby.” I said to nopony in particular. I caught a glint of light in my eyes. I squinted there through the trees was a castle. I smiled. “At last a place I can relax and not be found.”

The castle began to glow and a rainbow burst out from the top of the castle and arched back down into the castle. I stared in awe. Never have I ever seen such power in something so incredible. I felt the rain start to let up. I looked up and clouds parted revealing the moon. I watched closely as a head of unicorn emerged on the moon. I then saw the moon start to make it’s decent, and over the trees of the Everfree forest the sun began to rise creating a warm glow. I looked back at the castle with a smile. “I have just found myself a new home.” I said to myself.

With a flick of my tail and a stomp of my hoof I raced off towards the castle.

Not long after I took shelter in the castle, a phoenix came and told that they've announced that the race of two races has been extinguished from Equestria.
I snarled and fluttered my wings angrily. "They've not seen the last of the race of two races."
