Ding!
Inside of a hotel in another city, many of the Canterlot Wondercolts were staying for a couple days. The six girls and Sunset Shimmer signed up and got placed with a few random roomates. Twilight and Rarity were assigned a room with Sonata Dusk.
Rarity didn't mind, but she did get thirsty after a couple hours. She eventually unpacked and went to go to the gift shop. Sonata went to go bug Aria for a bit. She wanted to get even for the hour of sleeping on her shoulder.
Rarity pushed a button going down on the elevator. She waited patiently. The elevator came and she walked in, but Sonata ran by her and joined her out of breath.
"Hi,...Roomy." Sonata panted.
"Hello, Sonata." Rarity smiled.
"Sonata!" An angry voice shouted from the distance.
"I'm not here okay." Sonata said.
The elevator closed an traveled down the line to the first floor. Rarity and Sonata, who was holding onto Rarity in hopes that Aria wouldn't find her, went to the gift shop to get a drink.
"One Diet Gem Rush." Rarity said.
"$2.00." A black and blue haired girl name Misty Rain said.
Rarity patted her pockets and found her money was gone. She patted around and found nothing.
"Missing your money?" Misty said.
"I'm so sorry. Sonata have you seen my money?"
"No." Sonata was busy hiding in Rarity's hair.
"Nope." Sonata looked out and hid again when a purple girl walked by. That was Starlight Glimmer.
"I'll have to go get it. Can you wait?" Rarity facepalmed.
"Sure." Misty said.
"I'll come with." Sonata said.
"Why?"
"Because it's great to have company. I'd love to stay with you."
That's a lie. She just wanted to have someone to throw at Aria and buy her time to run away!
"Fine."
Rarity and Sonata were in the same room with Twilight. They were living on the 3rd floor. They pushed a button and moved back to the floor, but before that...
A couple of other people came in a pressed for floor two. Not that bad, right?
Rarity went and grabbed her cash and made it back into the elevator. Sonata was gone, but jumped out of broom closet and joined her again.
"Why don't you just go back the the room?"
"Twilight would turn me into Aria like she would turn a criminal into the police. I don't wanna face her that way."
"Fair enough."
Rarity pressed the down button, but when they got onto the elevator they went up...to the 6th floor...and 7th...and 8th.
The elevator was filled and for every floor they went up, someone went down to a floor between them and the first floor.
A process that should've been 3 minutes was at least ten minutes. In the waiting, Rarity looked into a mirror and watched as Sonata was messing with her hair.
Ding!
"What floor is it?"
"Floor 89." Sonata answered.
"What?!" Rarity jumped up and looked at the dial. Sure enough, it had 110 floors and a little light was on next to 87 and all the others.
The only difference was that the button next to one was broken in half.
The room dinged again and bunch of sweaty people came in and filled the room with musk. The next floor added more people and then the room got tighter and tighter. Then out of nowhere...
Snap! Snap! Snap!
"Rarity, are you still awake?" Sonata waved and snapped her hand in her face.
"I'm sorry. I think I dazed off."
"You did for about thirty seconds." Sonata said. She looked different, but Rarity didn't notice. They hit floor one.
The pair got out and went back to the gift shop.
"Nice hair swap." Misty said.
Rarity looked in hand mirror. She was shocked and found her hair was arranged into a ponytail and Sonata had hers. She fixed herself and paid for her drink.
The pair went back to the elevator, but found they had to go all the way up, because they had gotten onto and elevator that had a problem with it.
They groaned and reached floor eight and hopped into another one as they pressed for three. Trixie showed up and said she was going to floor three as well.
She said how she had battled with he elevators earlier would scream if they didn't get there soon. On the 7th floor Spitfire and Soaring, the star players of the Canterlot Wonderbolts, joined in and pressed for floor 6.
"How long have you been going?" Soaring asked.
"19 minutes." Rarity said.
"Too many." Trixie argued.
"Well enjoy the rest of it." Spitfire said. "Ok go."
Soaring pressed all the buttons between floors 6 and 3.
They laughed and Trixie groaned and said she'd take the stairs.
"Sorry." The pair laughed.
"It's alright." Rarity said.
She held Sonata back as she was getting sick of the elevator.
The pair went to the third floor and crashed in their room.
Rarity opened her drink and enjoyed it. To this day, she still makes sure to never leave her money anywhere else.
Sonata also crashed on the couch and was face down in the cushion, but found a purple girl next to her.
"Uh oh." Sonata said.
"Thought you'd get away, huh?" Aria dragged Sonata to the bathroom to deal with her there.
"How did she even get in?" Rarity asked.
"I let her in." Twilight said.
"Is it because you don't like her a bit?"
"No. Aria was about to break the door." Twilight said as she was reading.
A loud couple sounds of wrestling came and made the two wonder who was winning.
"Oh by the way, I'm off to get a drink. See you later."
